Extremely disappointed - 2 months waiting for a straightforward claim
I've been a loyal customer for several years, but my recent claim experience has been absolutely appalling. This should have been the most straightforward claim possible - stationary vehicle, clear fault, all documentation provided immediately.
I responded to every single document request, provided everything they asked for, and yet here I am, two months later, still chasing them for my money.
What's the point of paying for insurance year after year if when you actually need them, they drag their feet and leave you out of pocket? The claim couldn't be more obvious, yet they continue to find ways to delay the process.

No exclusions on car hire companies.
Used insurance4carhire many times in the past, but this time I used them as they didn’t have any exclusions on the car hire companies, while most of the others did. Found the price is the same as other companies for annual cover.
Liked that they are part of Swinton which gives confidence.

I needed help
Why are all companies becoming ‘online only’ instead of having a human voice. I needed help with a problem but trying to get a telephone number and a real person to talk to for advice was impossible.
I’m in my 70’s, I don’t want to do everything on my phone or iPad. I don’t want an online chat. I want old fashioned customer service.

On the second time I used these we were…
On the second time I used these we were unfortunate to have a bump in France. The excess on the claim was €1800 . I paid on credit card in France and submitted my claim on my return. Once I forwarded all the details they paid in full on the day my card payment was due. Absolutely spot on !! I would recommend this company if you are to hire a car .

Impossible to renew my policy
Impossible to renew my policy! Exactly the same as last year. Got a renewal quote to my old email - the one they had before they moved to Swinton but it didn't transfer properly and they told me to start a new account with a different email which I did. If I click on the quote it takes me to my old account which has no policies. If I log into my new account the renewal is there. I get as far as the Payment page and it says I have to log out and log in again with my other email. Obviously if I do that I don't see the renewal as there is nothing in my old account. I spent about 30 minutes on the Chat but she could not grasp the problem so I gave up and just started a new policy from scratch using my new account and email - same as I did last year. I'm still getting renewal notices to my old email even though I have a new account. There is a cross linking somewhere in their system and they can't seem to understand the problem. I've tried deleting the old account but there is no option to do that.
The policy itself is very good and I've claimed in the past with no issues. I really wish they could sort out the account issue as it's getting tedious going through this every year. Also with no email contact option it is very difficult to get anyone to acknowledge that there is a system fault.
After your reply I have now downgraded you to One Star. The link you posted simply leads to a contact page that only has OnLine Chat as the option. It has been impossible to get my issue sorted out via online chat with the advice given as 'just keep trying'. Very useful for a problem that has been ongoing since you moved to the Swinton platform. Is there any way to contact you apart from OnLine Chat? I have tried emailing various addresses but everything just bounces.
