We offer straightforward and low-cost alternatives to the expensive car hire excess insurance policies offered by car hire companies. Our policies are simple yet effective. They are designed to reimburse you for excess if your hire car is damaged or stolen. They even include cover for damage to roof, windows, tyres, undercarriage and headlights - parts that are often excluded by car hire companies.

This is the second time I’ve purchased…
This is the second time I’ve purchased car hire excess insurance with this company. I purchased the policy in my name for a hire car that was booked by our breakdown cover. When I went to collect the car I realised the car was booked in my husbands name and it wasn’t possible to change this. I assumed I would be able to change the name on this policy easily but this is not the case at all. It’s impossible to change through the portal and when I tried to discuss with live chat it seemed that the person didn’t even understand what I was asking for and was unable to help me. Would not recommend this company at all. I’ve been left with a policy that is essentially useless since they insist it’s in the name of the lead booker on the hire agreement. This is fine if you are booking the car yourself but if it’s being booked by a third party it’s not always possible to know in advance of collecting the car.

Quite easy to apply online. Swinton is a company I know so went with them. This is one protection cover I hope I never have to use. Money well spent.
