Founded in 2002 by Larry Ursich and John Jansson, acquired by Henley media group in 2005, then by Towergate Underwriting Group in 2007, and by Swinton Group Limited in 2020, insurance4carhire has grown in its product offering but has kept one thing the same: customer value. We offer straightforward and low-cost alternatives to the expensive car hire excess insurance policies offered by car hire companies. Our policies are simple yet effective. They are designed to reimburse you for excess if your hire car is damaged or stolen. They even include cover for damage to roof, windows, tyres, undercarriage and headlights - parts that are often excluded by car hire companies.

Easy renewal process with a competitive price.
Good website with a choice of different policies on offer. The price on renewal increased slightly from the previous year but when comparing equivalent policies with other companies, the price offered was still competitive.

Brilliant service
Nice and easy to do, complete on lining minutes and it’s a good price giving you that piece of mind knowing if something happens then your excess is overcame you didn’t re mortgage the house or give any bodily parts in to cover the costs.

A good company that does what it promises
I have had insurance with them for several years. It is usually just renew and forget but this year I had to make a claim. The process was easy and was settled to my full satisfaction. A very good company to deal with. I have renewed for the next year.
