Visited the cafe at the chievely branch and was told there was no dogs allowed after we sat down. I asked if there was any under cover seating to just be told “no”
I asked if there was anywhere dry to sit to which she said no it’s just outside.
Not an offer to wipe the tables, or to put the umbrella up, or even to give up tissue to wipe it ourselves, nothing.
I will be going public about this.

Hillier’s website is incredibly slow and it’s very frustrating
and I leave the site and shop elsewhere. I’ve been experiencing this for a long time and it’s about time they fixed their website to make it user friendly!

Ordered furniture and was told it would arrive at a specific date then it was rearranged then was notified that it had been attempted on a date and time there where people home in both addresses so definitely wasn’t attempted called and chased to find out what was going on and was told the actual stores themself can’t help and we would need to speak to the warehouse spoke to the warehouse who said they could either redeliver or we can collect we choose to collect then without any notice I had a notification from my bank saying the money we paid for the furniture is being refunded but no communication from them To say it’s been refunded or anything they pride themselves on customer satisfaction but there’s been no communication at all will never order from them again

Not very accessible for the older generation especially the cafe which is in dire need of an update. Sunny day when visited and was told no pets in the seating area so we had to sit outside for our lunch without shade …I would call that being victimised for owning a dog. Several customers complained whilst we were there with the same problem.

My daughter treated me to a cream tea at Hilliers restaurant in Horsham. From start to finish the staff were excellent. The food was fantastic and plenty of it. I would definitely recommend having a cream tea or meal there.

I bought 12 Geraniums and 6 Begonias from their Winchester shop, near the hospital for a £35.99
I assumed that I couid rely on Hilliers reputation for quality.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
The Begonias were OK.
However the Geraniums were very poor. They were small and unrooted. The soil just fell off on potting. Consequently I bought some more, well rooted a larger for £13.00 for 18.
I will never shop again at Hilliers. They don't deserve their reputation.
Hillier Garden Centre Braishfield
I telephoned before visiting the garden centre which is a 20 minute drive from me to check they had the large size lavenders I wanted. I was told they had 5. When I got there they only had 2. When I queried this they explained their computer system is not accurate. No apology - just - more will be arriving tomorrow. I asked a member of staff where the smaller lavenders were located. She pointed in a direction saying “over there”. I get better customer service at Tesco who actually take you to show you.
Disgusting toasted sandwich and slow service
I visited the cafe at Hilliers, Sunningdale. I paid £11 for a toasted sandwich with brie, bacon and onion chutney. The sandwich was absolutely disgusting with two rashers of very fatty bacon and the rind of a Brie cheese. The service at the till was very slow as the cashier was also making the hot drinks. The cakes on display had jingles in front of the cabinet, making it very unhygienic. I will not visit this establishment again.

I'm very disappointed with the restaurant at Hiller's garden centre windelshem the manger shouldn't be there since she has been put in charge Useless after going there for over 2 years for breakfast 3 times the food had to go back like warm. When it comes back it's all dry put in microwave she hasn't got a clue she has even told staff I don't want to be here. Last Sunday arrive at ten got breakfast 10.25 put 7 breakfast up on hatch at the same time so first 2 mine was nearly cold never go back for breakfast poor rubbish I've been in catering 20 never seen a manger act like this SHE SHOULD BE SACKED but they don't give a dam about customers only the money DISCUSSING USELESS

Awful place… we were charged a 100 pounds for going a few minutes over the stated parking time… our fault but no discretion applied seen as we had spent 300 pounds in the shop!!
Dorking Hiller’s what a shambles
Went into Dorking Hillier garden centre today, what a complete disappointment! I was expecting better especially with the competition around here, the place was a mess, i nearly fell over stuff twice, cones randomly placed around the soil area. Why ? A member of staff with a forklift faffing about on a busy bank holiday why ? Surely a quiet time of day would be better. There was massive trolleys of plants in front of shelves no one would could get to, with no member of staff in sight So I gave up and didn’t bother, I will buy it somewhere else, and I was trying to wheel a heavy bag of soil around the store a complete nightmare! (I wasn’t the only one )I wasn’t told until I got to the till that I didn’t need to they have a barcode at the till why did not one member of staff tell me this before ? Or why no sign at the soil area? a complete shambles I will stick to my usual plant nursery shops.

Don't try using your vouchers, staff don't know how to process them and first of all just try saying they don't accept them. What a faff.
Went to Hillers Hermitage 29 March 2026…
Went to Hillers Hermitage 29 March 2026 for coffee &cake which we do on a weekly basis. Unfortunately while sat having a coffee a male came to the table next to us with a dog (no dogs allowed), even put it on the seat. My husband told staff at the counter about it. Need bigger signs saying NO DOGS ALLOWED

This morning we went to the Banbury nursery, all I can say is what fab staff they have, Lucy in the plant area was amazing in helping us with choosing plants for our garden, her advise was amazing, and she genuinely had a interest in what we wanted. Shona (hopefully this is right) inside really was helpful with the furniture and again her patience and knowledge was fab. Thanks for all your help and advise today along with your patience whilst we constantly changed our minds.

With no table service, no longer a treat
We have often enjoyed meals at the Garden Restaurant, but now that service has changed it is no longer the 'treat' that it used to be. The new system is supposed to reduce waiting time for customers. Part of a normal restaurant experience involves a little waiting - for the order to be taken, for the food to be served, for the bill to be presented. This is expected and acceptable. What is not acceptable is for one member of a couple to be sitting alone for 15 minutes or more, while the other person is waiting in a queue at the till to make the food order. Please bring back the old system and pre-booking a table by phone.

Appalling lack of understanding
Myself and my daughter went to the garden centre for breakfast. We expected it to be busy as there was a special offer on breakfasts. My daughter is type 1 diabetic and has to inject insulin 20 mins before she eats. We allowed 30 mins to allow for a wait. When we got there, there was a queue to even get in the coffee shop to join the main queue. I explained the situation with regards to timings to the staff member there and we were allowed to join the main queue when I offered to sit outside (in January!) After queuing for a further 20 mins or so, I reached the order point. When I enquired. I was told it was an additional 30 min wait for the food to be delivered. I explained that this was too long given my daughter had injected her insulin approx 30 mins before. The lady serving checked with the kitchen staff and said there was nothing she could do, it would be 30 mins. I explained again that in 30 mins time, she would probably be unconscious as her blood sugar would have gone through the floor but no accommodation was made. I asked to speak to the duty manager at which point a first aider arrived and arranged for our food to be delivered more promptly. However, we had to sit outside in the cold and rain. Not only an unpleasant experience but actually downright dangerous. Clearly an untrained, unknowledgeable workforce who have no capacity to listen and make necessary adjustments. Quite shocking in the world we live in.

Breakfast at 3 legged cross is superb, have tried couple times and cannot fault the food, service and speed of food to table considering the vast volume of people attending 1/2 price breakfast. Outstanding value, staff working very hard, exceptional team, still smiling despite workload.
