They never have what you reserve
The car you reserve ahead of time is rarely if ever available. Instead of them putting you in a vehicle, they try to upsell you an upgrade that’s 2X the price. If you don’t have the car I reserved, I should t be charged because of Hertz’s poor planning and lack of fleet. The cars are never ready and are often poorly cleaned.

My flight home got cancelled after the Philadelphia airport’s radar went down and there wasn’t another flight from Jacksonville until the end of the week. I was able to rebook a flight from Orlando the next day. I turned to Hertz to help me and booked online in minutes. While unfortunately the Philips Highway location was unable to fulfill my request, they called me and pointed me to the Southside location. I got a hold of them right before their location closed and they said they would honor my reservation price and get me a car. Once there the next morning at opening, the process was very smooth and I was on my way. Thank you so much for helping me pull this together. I made it to my flight on time and home.
