Awful service - and I am one of the fortunate ones to not have purchased from this company.

Unhelpful. Unresponsive. False promises to send info across. Words of “I’ve got 20 years in this trade with unrivalled knowledge…”. The only traits they possess are those of negative ones.

Wouldn’t trust this company as far as I could throw them. Constant promises made to send info across. Received in part/not at all. Even when a provisional offer was made; “I’ll get back to you in 5 minutes my mate”. I then had to chase at the 11th hour. Only to be told “I said I’d only call you if the boss would agree to the sale”.

Overall - avoid avoid avoid. Isn’t worth the hassle. Lessons in good customer service required.

I was sold a faulty vehicle which broke down repeatedly only 3/4 weeks after purchase. I was told by the garage who tried to fix it that 'they did not know what the issue was'. They also informed me to return the vehicle immediately due to the state of the vehicle its self.

The dealership were extremely unhelpful & did not seem to care at all about the stress & hassle which they caused upon my daily life.

I am extremely grateful to not have to deal with this company again & I can assure you all the bad reviews are bang on the money in terms of honesty & what they do (or should I say, don't) provide.

After purchasing a car that had PASSED its MOT three days earlier, I thought I would be able to enjoy a safe and peaceful drive. However, that didn't happen. And I had to spend £580 at the mechanic.
After two weeks, I took the car to the mechanic for a health check and service. I didn't think that the condition of the car was such that I wouldn't be able to leave the garage without repairs. There was a broken reverse gear sensor, and NO oil in the gearbox! It's a miracle the gearbox didn't break!
However, for the mother of two small children, the more serious issue turned out to be NO BRAKES! After removing the front tires, it turned out that the discs, pads and calipers simply did not exist! In addition, the rear tire was only 10 psi, the other three tires were 32 psi. Every morning I have a problem with the steering wheel. It is simply unacceptable to sell a car in this condition. The person I exchanged email with said that I should come and they would check the condition of the car. I live in Wolverhampton and in the condition the car was in, it's simply not possible!
After sending the photos I received from the mechanic, no one contacted me again. I feel cheated and am forced to report this matter further.

Left a deposit over the phone and was told the leg work would be done in the back ground, vehicle prep etc.

Caught the train and was directed from the station (was even offered to be collected but needed the walk after the journey)

When I arrived I sat and got all of the formalities done. Mean while the car was given a final valet before I set off.

2 months in now and we have been able to enjoy some great family trips during the school holidays.

Everything was very smooth, this dealership has a vast amount of cars and I could appreciate that sometimes some things do happen but surely it is law of averages.

I purchased a vehicle from a well known nationwide business (TC) and compared to them these guys were faultless. No pressure selling and even little niggles were addressed. The thing I most liked was the fact it still had a family run vibe, that’s how personal the reception was from everyone there.

An absolutely gorgeous car at a great price with excellent service. I recently bought a 4 year Old Ford Fiesta from Hearsall common car sales and I have to say what a brilliant experience I had from start to finish. They have a big selection of cars at realistic prices to suit most people. The service with preparing the vehicle the mot delivery time were all very print and efficient and they done exactly everything which was discussed when we bought my car. My father also bought an older part exchange off them at the same time it was an older car with high mileage and as it was a part exchange it had a few issues which Stuart told him about and helped him with a few cheap repairs. Do two cars bought and overall very happy with both. We would highly recommend and would add that if your expectations are sensible and realistic you will have a great deal there.

3 big warnings here regarding their Graylands branch and I've waited a month after buying to give an accurate review as possible. 1) I was told that I would have a 1 month warranty as standard, however, after paying the deposit and car tax I was then told when collecting the car this wound be a 50/50 one month warranty (I would have to pay half of any cost). 2) I was told they would do a full service before I collected the car, however, when they filled out my service book they wrote that they only did an oil change. The oil was a heavy dark colour so I doubt they even did this. 3) The biggest issue.... They said they would do a fresh MOT and any 'non wear and tear' advisories would be fixed', 3 months prior to this an MOT stated 'leaking exhaust'. When the new MOT was done the exhaust leak wasn't mentioned (OK it may have been fixed) and there was an advisory stating 'rear service break binding'. I expected this to be fixed as it's not a wear and tear issue, but they refused, claiming this was just down to some dirt on the breaks as the car had been stationary for a while. Over the next month I had a lot of problems with the breaks (noisy, steering wheel shaking occasionally when breaking at speed). I didn't trust these guys to fix it, especially with the dodgey 50/50 warranty they gave, so I took it to a garage I trusted. They found that one of the rear service breaks where jammed solid, worn down to the metal and should never have passed an MOT. The exhaust was leaking too. So in a nutshell, they lied about what they would fix on the MOT, they lied about the warranty, they did a dodgey MOT, and they didn't fix important faults, even when it was on the breaks!.
I've reported them to trading standards and reported the MOT provider too.

OCT 2025 update: I NEVER GOT MY DEPOSIT BACK

I had a really disappointing and unprofessional experience with Graylands Ltd recently.

I went to buy a used Vauxhall Astra from them, and things started off okay. I paid a £200 deposit and was told I could collect the car on Tuesday, 25 July. But that's where everything went downhill.

Firstly, there were delays, and I had to call them daily to check on the car. They kept saying it wasn't ready, and it felt like they were avoiding me.

Then, things got even worse! I tried to get some answers today, but when I called, they literally hung up on me. And guess what happened when I wrote a negative review on their Facebook page? They immediately blocked me.

I've been trying to reach them through calls and emails, but it seems like they're actively avoiding me now.

Also, I noticed something fishy about their supposedly glowing reviews on Auto Trader, Trustpilot etc. All those apparent positive reviews have a pattern and look fake. Also, most of the positive reviews were all written on the same day.

At this point, I've asked for my deposit back, but it seems like they don't care about customers at all and have no intention of refunding me. So, I'm warning all of you out there – think twice before attempting to buy a car from Graylands Ltd.

DO NOT!!!! Go anywhere near this place if you are thinking of buying a car. I bought a VW Passat from there and had to take it back three times because of various issues, one being the engine dropping out because they hadn’t fitted back properly. After less than 2 years of having it I have had to scrap it.

Avoid this dealership company. Our experience was an absolutely horrible. They didn’t wanted to give us a car for almost a week, even tho money was sent and received within 15min. The owner is rude and lack of respect for customers. Never again buying or using this company in my life…

When you arrive to collect your car, having travelled 170 plus miles and need then to drive that car home (170 + miles) you would think you were in the safe hands of the dealership. Not so... An advisory on the MOT showed 3 tyres had the potential to go at anytime, not immediately known, the journey home could have been potentially dangerous. Not only this but the keys were handed to me with absolutely no fuel in the tank, and I mean none, it was empty to the point of driving of to beeps and flashing lights on my way out of the premises I had no idea where the nearest fuel station was and it was about to stop completely. This must have been evident to the guy who reversed the car out of the compound, got out and handed me the keys.
Having said all that... It was clear the car was being picked up on the day but I had to wait ages for them to valet the car (why, when they knew it was being collected). But it didn't stop there... After the valet the guy reversed, or tried to reverse the car out of the area but couldn't navigate the gap which meant going back and forth... Only to be stopped by someone else who had to take over the driving. Could have been a bit of a bash there I think
After all this....the company decide not to reply to any of my messages which does really tell you everything. Just avoid buying from here because they appear to love you when your about to buy, but it's what you don't see that you need to worry about.. With this dealership appearances are VERY deceiving.

Bought a 2004 fiesta off them a few months back, probably did 10 miles in it tops then had to scrap the car, it WAS NOT advertiseD as “spares or repairs” so I bought it for £1000. Well… no catalytic converter, blown head gasket, suspension was an absolute death trap, only 1 key, no service history (didn’t find this out till the car was delivered, MOT failed on MANY things, it was an absolute disaster. It’s also the fact I had to pay £1000 for a SCRAP car. So disappointed and angry, do not wish this on anyone so my advise, stay away.

Second car I've bought from here, no problems at all with them, Stuart is a very polite and helpful person, couldn't recommend them enough

A very nice car at a very sensible price. As a single lady it can be strange buying a car but I felt well looked after from the moment I bought my car to driving it away. They gave me a great finance deal far better than other garages I spoke to they even had a better deal than zuto and car finance 247. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good deal and great service.
