Helpful staff that went above and beyond to make sure I had the car I wanted. It was serviced, cleaned and the couple of marks were dealt with ready for collection. Staff were friendly and approachable. They were happy to arrange a test drive of the car and put me at ease when talking about if i was ready to buy the car. Thank you to Lewis and Ioni for arranging a smooth handover.

⭐️1 STAR – Extremely disappointing
experience with Nuneaton Car Sales
I purchased a Peugeot 2008 from Nuneaton Car Sales in December 2025 through Startline Motor Finance. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have experienced repeated problems relating to fault code P0035.

The vehicle has been returned to the dealership on at least four separate occasions in an attempt to resolve the issue. I have also obtained independent diagnostic evidence from a VAT-registered garage and three separate RAC diagnostic reports, all of which I have retained as evidence of the problems I have experienced.

This has gone far beyond the inconvenience of having a faulty car. I rely on my vehicle for work and live in a rural area with no accessible public transport. I am the only driver in my household, meaning that whenever the car has been unavailable, I have had very limited alternatives. On several occasions I have had to hire another vehicle at my own expense simply to get to work and attend essential appointments.

What makes this situation particularly difficult is that I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, while also caring for my young child. The repeated breakdowns, repairs, transport arrangements and uncertainty have caused a huge amount of additional stress at a time when I should be focusing on my health and my family.

I have now formally rejected the vehicle. My rejection was initially accepted for consideration, but approximately five days later I was informed that it had been declined. I am therefore left in the position of still making finance payments for a vehicle that I have formally rejected and no longer feel able to rely on.

We are now facing the cost of the existing Peugeot finance alongside another vehicle, as well as insurance and tax. The combined cost relating to the Peugeot is approximately £500 per month, before taking into account replacement vehicle hire and other expenses.

This is particularly concerning because I am due to start maternity leave. Instead of being able to financially prepare for the arrival of our baby, we are now facing additional borrowing and ongoing costs because of a vehicle that I no longer consider reliable or suitable for our circumstances.

I have made repeated attempts to give the dealership the opportunity to resolve the problem, including returning the vehicle multiple times and obtaining independent diagnostic evidence. Despite this, I am still left dealing with the same underlying issue and the financial consequences that have followed.

I appreciate that vehicle disputes can be complicated, but from my perspective the way this situation has unfolded has been extremely stressful and financially damaging. I feel that the impact on me and my family has not been properly appreciated.

I would not recommend Startline Motor Finance based on my experience. I simply wanted a reliable vehicle for my family, work and the arrival of my baby. Instead, I have been left with ongoing uncertainty, additional costs and significant financial pressure at one of the most difficult times to be dealing with it.

My complaint case was closed even with masses of evidence for it to be reopened. Startline have closed this off, they will happily take money from you and your family putting you into hardship than work with you to resolve any issues that will be a financial loss for them

The lack of customer aftercare is absolutely horrific. Sales team are phenomenal at the point of sale in customer service.

This matter has now been taken further.

Great experience at Nuneaton car sales. Both Lewis and Dan went above and beyond to help me find the best car and make sure I was happy. Really good customer service from both. Definitely will be back for all my future cars. Lewis was happy to help with everything and was very patient with my indecisiveness! We purchased a Mercedes a200d from Nuneaton Car Sales . Within a couple of weeks we noticed the water coolant level warning on . I contacted Car sales and they said any problems would be covered by the £600 worth of extra warranty we purchased at the of buying the car .
turns out it needs a new water pump which is an engine removal job so I brought it too Mercedes main dealer in Coventry to have the work done . Nuneaton Car sales flat refused to honour the warranty !! which left me paying £500 per month for 9 months to Bumper finance on top of the cost of the car finance from Nuneaton car sales. these are the facts .

Fantastic service from Ivan from initially test driving the car, to reserving it and collection. The car was immaculate on collection and ready earlier than expected. Ivan kept us up to date and well informed throughout. Definitely recommend.

Iona has made the buying process very smooth, and has been very friendly throughout the process keeping me updated regularly on how the car has been getting on. Car has also been prepped beautifully on arrival for collection, smells amazing! Dan has also helped out with sorting our finance which is greatly appreciated . A very smooth and easy process, and we have been treated with utmost kindness. Would recommend.

Be careful Buying a car from here and make sure to check it out properly Within two weeks of having my car it went back to the garage for repair not once but twice and still didn't complete all the repairs and there was a few. There was advisory on two previous mots for breaks , which I discussed about having repaired and they told me yes they was done only to receive the car and have the same muggy wornout breaks on it. In the advertisement they said that the electric battery holds 39 miles when in reality it only held 13! Then they finally agreed for a hybrid check for me to pay And they would reimburse which they ended up refusing. Only Good thing I can say is that the staff was polite.
