Placed an order with standard delivery and it arrived in 2 days. I ordered the incorrect item and the customer service team replied and sorted the issue out very quickly. The products are so lovely, would definitely buy again.
Terrible Customer Service
Ordered items for a school prom with around a months notice, 20 days after ordering i chased the order. There was no apology, no explanation of when it may arrive, no trying to rectify getting the delivery to me in time, just offering a refund. Between ordering and chasing the delivery, a message went online to say there may be a delay in deliveries but this was not there when i initially ordered as i would have gone elsewhere.

Great experience. The website said it would take 7 days for my order and it turned up within 2 days, dispatched the same day I placed it!
I had emailed customer support to ask for a delivery asap and they were quick to reply and gave me my royal mail tracking number. Love the party products for my sisters birthday!

Order cancelled a week after being placed
I placed an order in plenty of time for a birthday that's happening tomorrow - have just received an email from Ginger Ray saying they're cancelling and refunding the order. No excuse, no alternative, not enough time to repurchase the things I need now.
I've used them in the past and been happy, but this is just ridiculous - the lack of care and consideration for customers will make me think twice before I use them again.

No sign of my order and nothing from Ginger Ray
I was delighted to receive an email from Ginger Ray to tell me that the product I had been waiting for was back in stock. I carefully checked the website and it said that delivery would be within 3 to 7 days and so I immediately ordered 5 packs of bunting. That was 8 days ago and the party I need it for is very soon. Needless to say I've heard nothing from Ginger Ray since I placed the order. I contacted Customer Services and they can't track the order, can't tell me if, let alone when it will arrive and there was no appology!

Cancelled My Order at the Last Minute
Having placed the order nearly 2 weeks in advance, no one contacted to me to say that there was a delay in shipping and therefore it was not going to make the booked delivery date. As they were inflated items, I asked for them 2 days before my party. I emailed to ask where the items were on the day and they emailed the next day saying they could no longer be sent. When I asked for compensation they refused, blaming me for not notifying them sooner even though I reached out to them on the day of delivery! I'm not sure how I'm meant to know there was a shipping delay with no communication. I was a customer for 6 years, sadly not anymore.

Ginger Ray is one of the worst…
Ginger Ray is one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. I was sent a clearly damaged and previously used item, which is completely unacceptable. When I contacted them expecting a straightforward resolution, I was met with blame-shifting and outright refusal to reimburse the return postage. They also flat-out refused to provide a free return label—even though the mistake was entirely theirs.
The customer service was shockingly rude and unprofessional, showing zero accountability and no willingness to help. It felt like they were doing everything they could to make the return process as difficult as possible.
After checking online, it’s obvious this isn’t a one-off experience. There are countless negative reviews describing similar treatment—faulty goods, unhelpful staff, and a total lack of care for customers.
Ginger Ray should be ashamed of how they treat people. If you’re thinking about ordering from them, do yourself a favour and go to Amazon. They desperately need a serious overhaul in both product quality and customer service. I’ve raised a chargeback with my bank.
UPDATE - I was successful with the charge back, clearly my bank agree this company is a joke. The countless negative reviews are spot on!

Fantastic Company
I’m shocked at the negative reviews for Ginger Ray.
I didn’t read them before ordering and I’m glad I didn’t.
I placed my order at 4:08pm yesterday and it arrived at 9:56am this morning!
I’m blown away at how quickly the turnaround has been.
And the candle holder set I ordered is beautiful! They are just too big for the area they were bought for. 🤦🏻♀️ Totally my fault for misjudging the sizing!
But, I’ve already found a new home for them and they look beautiful.

Missing item quickly sorted, items all look lovely
Placed an order with Ginger Ray on Monday, items arrived on Wednesday. Unfortunately only 2 of the 3 items were in the box. I dropped them an email Weds evening, got a reply on Thursday with apology and confirmation that the missing item would be despatched on next day delivery. Tracking confirmation also received on Thursday and the item arrived before lunchtime on Friday. There’s a lot of poor reviews for this company here, so I really wanted to reflect the positive experience I’ve had with them. Everything I ordered looks lovely and I’m all set now for my sister’s hen weekend!

Do not order party supplies from Ginger Ray!
I ordered a balloon backdrop for my daughter’s first birthday. It arrived the night before. The box it came in looked like it had been battered to death. It was supposed to be light pastels. The balloons weren’t pastel. The pink crepe paper rolls were ripped. I complained, hoping to get my money back as I couldn’t use it, and was told if I had blown up the balloons they would have magically changed colour. When I told my aunt this she said ‘well how does the crepe paper change colour then?’ She is quite right. Rolls of the crepe paper are bright green. So this company hasn’t just not given me what I needed for my daughter’s milestone birthday, its customer service department has attempted to gaslight me. All I want is a free returns label so I don’t have to pay more money to send back a product which has clearly been sent out and returned by multiple customers before me.

Same as all other reviews. Paid express delivery for it to guarantee arrival on 5th.
No communication since the World Book Day delayed email. I asked for it to be cancelled.
No response.
World book day came and went.
I messaged on Facebook. No response.
The phone number on the website does not exist.
Got a dispatch email and item was delivered today 8th or rather just left on doorstep. I would have refused the delivery and given it back. Item is completely useless to my 5 year old now.
Paid via PayPal and have disputed the case since I have now read that refunding through the company may never happen or either extremely delayed. I refuse to pay a refund delivery charge.
I put all the communication screenshots to PayPal so they hopefully take my side.
It seems they are affiliated with a company called gingerray.co.uk (who also have appalling reviews with similar issues) as the packaging is not partydelights branded, but gingerray.co.uk.
What a waste. Complete joke of a company.

Overall, AVOID! And I would recommend anyone in the same situation to dispute it with their bank/method of payment.
Never buy from them or gingerray.co.uk.
Rubbish customer service
Rubbish customer service, there’s no point in them having that department as they don’t do anything!
I accidentally ordered too many of one item & asked them to amend the order. The response I received a day later was ‘we’ve automated processes so cannot amend the order’
So I said ok I’d like to cancel the order completely, the response back was ‘I’m afraid it’s with the warehouse now & due to be picked & we are unable to amend or cancel it’ - I’m sorry what?! You can’t contact the warehouse to amend or cancel an order. So what’s the point with saying on your website ‘contact us for any amendments or queries with your order’
Looking at other reviews I wish I’d not ordered from them at all, I certainly won’t be using them again!

Item not Delivered
Hi ,
I am quite disappointed. I ordered Mettalic Garland Balloons from Ginger Ray since on the 11th of February through Argos. It has been marked as delivered and there is no delivery that got to me. I have requested for evidence of this delivery and yet to receive one.
I have tirelessly been chasing this resolution and Argos customer service has even raised multiple tickets to Ginger Ray for resolution but to no avail.
Now, I am left with no option than to chase this directly. How long does it take to respond to your customers?
If this item was delivered where is the proof of delivery?
Please I am no longer interested, I need my money back.
I promise to stay away from your products and services.
Please just issue me my refund .

Worst customer service!!
Ordered a parcel for my friends hen do. Was supposed to be delivered on January 4th. It was left in my doorstep and was missing when I returned home. I have reached out via the website and email repeatedly-no response whatsoever. I have now opened a PayPal case to get my money back! Lovely looking products but customer service is absolutely atrocious!!

Poor service
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I paid extra for next-day delivery for baby shower supplies that were meant for a very special day I arranged for my wife. Not only did the items NOT arrive on time, but I was told they were “lost in the post” a day after the event. This completely ruined the baby shower I had planned, leaving me scrambling to find alternatives at the last minute.
I trusted this company with an important occasion, and they let me down in the worst way. If you can’t guarantee next-day delivery, don’t offer it. The lack of reliability and communication is shocking, and the experience has left a bitter taste. I won’t be ordering from here again and strongly advise others to avoid this service. Poor service, no accountability, and no consideration for their customers’ needs.

Appalling Service
Purchased a number of items direct from Ginger Ray. They were unable to supply several items but still charged my credit card. Months later still waiting for a refund. No response from customer service, apart from their standard email 'Thank you for your message ...'

Great customer service saved the day!
The products Ginger Ray offers are beautiful and reasonably priced (especially in the sale). So, I bought party supplies and was initially very disappointed with my order, because it arrived poorly packaged, ripped and open to the elements, meaning that the paper tableware I purchased was unfit to use. Also the paper garland box was crushed and torn.
I expected these items to turn up in a box with sufficient padding, but they arrived in a single plastic wrapping, which had been sliced open in transit several times.
However, when I raised this with their customer service team just after New Year's they arranged for a new order to be sent out in time for my son's birthday. The order arrived in perfect condition and in plenty of time and, given all the bank holidays, I really can't fault the customer service or the turnaround time. Thank you Ginger Ray!

I ordered an item and after 8 days it…
I ordered an item and after 8 days it still hadn’t arrived. I had been sent an invoice but no tracking information was included. I tried the chat function on the website and no one was available. I left a message and no one got back to me I tried calling the number listed and got a message saying ‘this number has not been set up to receive calls’. So disappointing and frustrating. I would definitely not recommend, it’s such a shame to let customers down for Christmas.
