I have been using Extra Help MK for just over six months now and I'm finding the organisation fabulous.

Alexandra (Franchise owner in Milton Keynes) is very efficient and effective in arranging Cleaning for me (at the moment it's only this element of their services that I've been using, but I would have no qualms in using any of the other elements such as befriending, shopping et cetera).

Alexandra organises the specific cleaner for me who comes very promptly on the arranged day each week. She too is lovely, very efficient, very helpful and I would have no difficulty in recommending her to another person). Alexandra is very quick in offering an alternative visit if ever my main Cleaner isn't able to come for some reason.

Keep up the good work folks, I am so grateful to be using you.

I had changed my mothers care to Extra help Plymouth a couple of months ago now and can honestly say that to date I have been extremely satisfied with the company.
Luda the manager for Plymouth was very accommodating from the start!
The first day that I enquired there was no answer by phone, I left a message as instructed but to be honest as it was late afternoon on a Friday I never expected a call back that day and wasn’t full of hope that a call would come.
I intended to ring again the following week.
But ten minuets later Luda rang me back out of working hours all apologetic that I had to leave a message.
We arranged for a home visit with my mother so Luda could meet her and see what her needs were. Luda arrived well on time and was the most lovely warm person ever.
I could tell straight away that Luda was very passionate about her role and that of the clients needs.
William is the carer that visits my mother once a week to get some shopping, change her bedding and do a bit of housework and he is just so lovely. I feel blessed that William is my mother’s carer.
William really does go above and beyond, is caring and very thoughtful! Only today William rang me with great concern that my Mother had a nose bleed and (as I was working) I asked William to ring me back later in the day to say that she was ok which he did without hesitation! A lovely compassionate individual.
I have had to ask for my mother’s normal time to be changed on occasion so that she could attend dental appointments which with no hesitation was granted.
I have txt out of hours and always had a response.
All the above I never experienced with the last care company that she was with and they were more expensive.
Extra care to date has delivered an above and beyond service of which I am very grateful for but of course I can only speak for myself.
In a job that in my opinion is underpaid and can be very Stressful Luda and William have shown compassion mixed with professionalism that other companies could learn from.
Long may it continue and I thank Luda and William immensely!

Luda and her team have been caring for my mum for the past couple of years, and the support they've provided has been outstanding. They started with a bit of light housekeeping, but as my mum’s health declined, they seamlessly took on more—helping with meal preparation, daily tasks, and offering companionship.

What really made a difference was the personal touch. They often took her out for a coffee, which gave her a much-needed change of scenery and helped lift her spirits. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication have been a huge comfort to our whole family. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done.

Highly recommended.

I have a complex care package. Over the years I have had a lot of companies and 4 years ago I decided to add Extra Help Plymouth/ Saltash branch to my package. This has been the best decision I have ever made. Nothing is too much trouble, and Luda's team work so hard to meet my family's needs. I would be lost without them. Luda and her team are amazing cooks, cleaners, helping with paperwork, taking my disabled son to school, you name it they do it. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The best company I've ever had!

Extra Help Plymouth were supporting me since April this year . Luda and her team were absolutely wonderful, I can't be thankful enough to a specialy Luda, she is top star :)) , she always responded to any of my daily lives needs , always try to help . I’ve been with Extra help for almost 9 years, I’ve had amazing staff, currently have two lovely ladies that help me, we go shopping lunch, fun activities. Also help with cooking, cleaning, paperwork. Always have lots of fun.

Luda, in Plymouth and her wonderful team have shown real commitment in providing marvellous service to my 95 year old Mum, starting with weekly cleaning, then increasing to every day when she had a few falls and required a lot more assistance in the house. They do anything at all Mum needs help with, except personal care, and Luda made sure that Mum had someone available in evenings when necessary to give us the capacity to spend a day or so away. Mum really loves the team of ladies working with her.

Friendly, helpful staff. Punctual and hard working, resulting in a very good job being carried out. I would happily recommend to others.

Extra Help Plymouth have been amazing with my elderly father in law age 93.Luda and her team looked after him from early in 2022 to May 2025. There is no family in Plymouth so it was important to get help which we could trust . Extra Help did not disappoint , Luda kept us informed about everything and looked after him and his house so very well! they went above and beyond to help us when my father in law was admitted to hospital and when he was discharged. This enabled him to live in his home for as long as he did . Luda and her team became like a second family for my father in law . Unfortunately my father in laws health deteriorated and he is now in a care home but we still keep in touch with some of his carers.

Lulu and her partner Villi, are friendly,polite,they are also very hard workers. They will contact you to arrange a date and time,to come,they will also contact you to let you know when they’re on their way. I would highly recommend them to anyone,who is looking for home help,in the Plymouth area

I have a cleaner from Extra help as I am disabled.
My cleaner is lovely, helpful and kind. She does a tip top job in keeping my house clean. The owner of the service is also lovely and knows just what you need. I recommend them very highly.

I wanted to leave it a while before I gave a review so I didn't get too carried away with initial enthusiasm for the service I've received, but after a couple of months it's still been consistently fantastic! I was perfectly matched with Zoe, who had incredible understanding about my disability needs and also more than competent in the help she's provided! The work has been to a high standard and her personality is as sparkling as my taps! Worth every penny to have someone like her to help me with chores when I have limited energy, my quality of life has improved significantly. Massive appreciation to Extra Help for an excellent service and Zoe who goes above and beyond to make my humble abode a clean, tidy, happy place.

Pleasant in the house without being intrusive.

Myself and my husband used Extra Help for the second time for a deep clean, as we were impressed the first time and wanted to surprise our daughter, who gad been away for a few weeks.

Well, 2nd time, we will never use them again. They didn’t clean to a high standard like a few years ago. Also threw Matt’s clean uniform on the floor, I had to wash it again. They owe us about £200. You quoted £450, then it went up to £700, including £25 for installing fence panels, which should of been free for 2 minutes work. I have told my husband’s parents and his Dad hit the roof. They never gave me any money, never gave us back £25. Also overcharging £35 for pensioners is disgusting and disappointing, as we gave them lots of work.

The team are amazing, if your cleaner can’t come Alexandra will do everything she can to get a replacement. The ladies are also amazing, they have made such a difference to me, and my home. Sorry to be leaving them as moving out the area.

The cleaners who come from the company are very efficient. They are willing to anything that is asked of them, even if these things are not directly to do with cleaning. The lady who comes to me has helped me to put together an air fryer and a vacuum cleaner. She is also very sympathetic to any problems I have.

A lovely lady and so thorough. Arrives on time and does 2 hours in my bungalow leaving it sparkling. Hourly price is good. Highly recommend.

Caralee has been a great help with Mum. She helps around the house, takes Mum to the shops and out for coffee and trips to the seaside! Thank you for all that you do. A little bit of help goes such a long way.

Extra help Plymouth have been great! We've been receiving weekly help for my aunt for a while now and they're always reliable, friendly and professional. They've been great with cleaning and taking my aunt shopping and have made our lives so much easier- I really can't fault the service. The manager Sarah is friendly and communicative and keeps us up to date with the visits via the app. Would highly recommend!
