On the positive side:
The guides in Cairo and on the Nile cruise were knowledgeable, interesting and fun to be with. The hotel (Steigenberger) was outstanding as was the new Cairo museum and of course the magnificent pyramids and temples.
On the negative side:
Our arrival and immediate transfer to a dinner cruise were shortsighted: we were extremely tired and jet lagged. A quiet dinner would have been far more appropriate.
The Liberty is a well-appointed ship but the staff lack professional training in the service department. For example, the wait staff didn’t know how to serve wine or promptly clean the table. The meat was frequently overcooked, hence dry and tasteless. There was a sameness to the salads. The fact that we had to pay extra for water, coffee and tea is uncalled for given the cost of the package. There should not be begging for tips from the room attendant.
Lastly, there was no reason for my luggage to be misplaced, having been diverted to another vehicle on the last day of the cruise ….. causing me severe anxiety as we had a flight to catch on that day.
Sadly, I’m sorry to say that I would be very reluctant to recommend your services.

My wife Sonali and me Dipankar *Sanyal) had a great 3night-4day cruise from Aswan and Luxor with Egypt Tours from October 21 to 24. Our pick up from Aswan airport, stay and travel on ship interspersed with guided tours on comfortable cars ending with the hotel drop at the end were exquisitely arranged. All the staff are very cordial. Their fullest cooperation enabled us to enjoy the hot-air balloon ride in the early morning before checking out from the ship after the breakfast. The food was very tasty and healthy. I strongly recommend Egypt Tours for the value of the money

The greatest part of the arrangement was indeed our English speaking jovial guide Mahmoud Hassan. He is very knowledgeable and combines the lengths of description and free time with great skill. I am thankful to him to handle me with some interest on the history part of every visit and my wife more inclined to more free time. Mahmoud absorbed our divergent requirement smilingly. He is not dominating, yet immaculately suggestive. One dilemma arose - whether to visit or skip Edfu Temple. We skipped it and got greatly benefited by spending more time at Luxor. One of my friend travelling in another ship was not given the option. They visited the temple, but reached Luxor late night by getting trapped at the Esna lock on the way. While we cleared the lock between 10 and 11am that itself is an experience, they were held up at the lock from 2pm to 7pm. We visited Aswan high dam, Philae temple and Unfinished Obelisk at Aswan on Day 1, Abu Simbel at Kom Ombo on Day 2, Karnack and Luxor temples on Day 3 and on the final day the valley of kings, the temple of Hatshepsut and Colssii Memnon. Well done Habibi - our dear Mahmoud. Wish you great future ahead.

We had a great experience, the boat was clean and well equipped. The service was great and the food was varied and tasty also with local flavors. The service at the upper deck could be improved, in a couple occasions the bar was empty with no waiters around. Our guide Bassam was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and prepared, it helped us to understand the tour with great depth and quality of information. He was all the time taking well care of our group! 5 stars for him! The sales process was good but we had a few minor miscommunication details with the price. Also the itinerary changed based on the navigation schedule and it would have been good to know in advance that the scheduled may be subjected to a couple changes. Two tours in a row at 4am was hard to adjust to. Thank you!

Everything was perfectly structured, precise, on time, and very well organized.
Our guides were fantastic and truly attentive to our needs.

Experiencia totalmente recomedable. Manal fue nuestra guía durante los días que estuvimos en El Cairo, nos enseñó sobre la historia, la religión y la vida en Egipto a lo largo de los siglos, tiene muchísimo conocimiento y lo transmite maravillosamente, además, se sabe todos los trucos para visitar los museos, mercados, mezquitas… a las mejores horas para encontrar menos afluencia de público y nos llevó a comer siempre a sitios en los que probar la comida local (riquísima), pero con opciones occidentales para los menos atrevidos. Todo el grupo quedó encantado con la experiencia.

Had a wonderful experience touring Egypt with our guide Essam Elsayed. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited - an expert at what he does! Each day was well organized and flexible to the groups needs.

Ms Marian of Egypt Tours Portal is very knowledgeable on every Historic sites that we visited. She can even explain some hieroglyphs on the wall inside the temple of Queen Hapshesut. My only suggestion to Egypt Portal is to bring first the tourist in an open area early in the morning(the first hour of its opening) so that its cooler for the people to appreciate the open temple. Viewing in the Valley of the Kings can be done even much later when the sun is higher because at least the visiting is inside the tomb, unlike at the Temple of Queen Hapshesut. So I hope you may consider also this suggestion. Over all, we enjoy every part of our adventure in Egypt.

My wife and I just had a tour to Egypt with local company called Egypt Tours Portal. We felt so lucky to select this company. There services are very flexible based on our requirements with reasonable price. During the whole trip, we can always talk to our operator Marehan Sham for everything like changing the departure time, asking itinerary questions. She always replied to our emails quickly even after working hours.

This was a truly unique experience. The ancient sites we visited were magnificent, unlike anything else in the world, and the Steigenberger hotels selected by Egypt Tours were excellent.
The highlight of our journey, however, was our two tour guides, Hossan Hassan and Ahmed Refaat. They truly made the difference, greatly enriching our experience and making our visits to these extraordinary sites all the more memorable. Their contribution deserves special recognition. Despite the shortcomings described below, we came away with wonderful memories, and much of that was thanks to them.
Several aspects of the trip were disappointing. After flying in from Canada, we learned upon arrival that the itinerary had changed. Instead of going to our hotel for a nice and relaxing dinner, we were taken on a dinner cruise with loud music and a poor belly dancing performance. We were tired and jet-lagged and would have much preferred a relaxing dinner at the hotel followed by a good night’s rest.
For the first day of the cruise, the boat did not move! It stayed docked in Luxor. Accordingly, given the conditions on the boat, it would have been much more enjoyable to stay an extra day at the Steigenberger hotel, even if it had meant paying extra. I understand that some issues may have been beyond Egypt Tours’ control, as we were told that most cruise boats offer a similar experience. Nevertheless, despite our boat having recently been renovated, the facilities and service were below our expectations.
Despite taking precautions, my wife and I experienced travellers’ diarrhea during the trip. The mattresses were very hard, and by far the most unpleasant issue was the persistent smell of diesel exhaust while the boat was docked. The cabin’s air-conditioning fan was also very noisy, leaving us to choose between a quiet but overly warm room and a cooler room with constant noise. We never managed to get a good night’s sleep onboard.
Entertainment was limited, and once again the belly dancing performance was mediocre. While the conditions on the boat detracted from our enjoyment, the remarkable sites, excellent hotels and, above all, Hossan and Ahmed made this a memorable journey. Our sincere thanks to both guides for making such a difference.

Quiero agradecer especialmente a mi Alshimaa Achmed por su estupendo desempeño en el Cairo, por prestar atención a las necesidades del cliente, su experiencia es indudable. Durante mi visita a Asuán y Luxor, el alojamiento en el crucero y en el hotel fue muy bueno. Quiero agradecer a todos los conductores por su amabilidad, y discreción, en especial a Yasser y Ahmed. Our guides were Reham and Omar during our trip. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable, well experienced, very professional, and amazing guides to be wish us. They gave us a great dept of information and answered our questions. We had a large group with young kids and they were very accommodating, flexible, and patient. Truly amazing! I want to recommend Egypt Tours Portal for a well planned and executed trip throughout Egypt. In Cairo and Alexandria we were educated on numerous historical sites and museums by our highly knowledgeable Egyptologist guide Ahmed Rezk, with 21 years experience teaching visitors about Egypt. On our Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor our group visited numerous temples and tombs with our guide Walid Alsamman. On our overnight trip to Sinai we were escorted every step with our tour manager Abdulrahman Mosbah and driver Mohammed Iesa.

Ahmed at Egypt Tours was a terrific host and guide for my family and I. We were traveling with small children as well as elderly. Ahmed was very friendly and patient while guiding us through and around Cairo. He did a wonderful job of explaining the history and culture in a way that was easy to digest. I would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone else traveling to Egypt, whether in smaller or larger groups. My family had a wonderful time. Thank you so much Ahmed!
