Purchased a Dyson V10 Animal for my…

Purchased a Dyson V10 Animal for my wife in 2020. Now lately she complained, rightfully so, that the battery is not lasting. We can use the vacuum for only a few minutes (no more than 10 at the lowest setting, not even reaching 2 at high speed.) We wrote to Dyson Today. Here is their reply:
"Battery degradation is not a fault of the machine. It happens to all batteries in everyday items, such as mobile phones and laptops." My iPhone is 3 years old too. Its battery didn't go from 100% to about 10%...

They then talked about the supposed run times and ended up the email with the following:
"Has this resolved the problem?" AS IF TELLING US THE RUNNING TIME WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM...

On their website, they are selling a battery pack for 175$ (which is a lot of money to put on a vacuum that is only 3 years old after you paid near to 1,000$)

My RECOMMENDATION: STAY AWAY OF DYSON VACUUMS (unless you have a big budget to spend)

My 2 year warantee ran out 3 months ago…

My 2 year warantee ran out 3 months ago and of course here I am with a problem with my Dyson. I called Dyson Canada and they offered to repair it for 170$ + taxes which I had to pay before they send me the box to ship them my Dyson and they told me it would take about 3 weeks to repair it. Still don't know what the problem is and if it's going to cost more than that. The product is already expensive enough, what a scam to have to pay 200$ for repair. I would have expected a lot better from a product that expensive... very disappointing. I do not recommend people to buy a Dyson for sure!

Very low expectations about replacement parts

Our Syson warranty ran out and 2 weeks later the main attachment died. We called and they offered us a discounted rate on a new attachment which we were okay with - but that was in February - it is now the very end of July and still no replacement part and no option to rectify the situation. We have had to go back to our central vac, which although doesn’t have as much suction power - is way better than a Dyson motor without an attachment. Very disappointed and would not recommend a Dyson to anyone

I purchased a Dyson Airwrap from your store in Dubai. I relocated to Canada due to personal reasons. However, to my utter dismay, the machine simply does not work here. I promptly reached out to your customer care department to report the issue, hoping for a swift resolution.

The response I received from your customer care representative was not only unhelpful but also completely disheartening. I was informed that the Dyson Airwrap is not designed to be compatible with different voltages, and therefore, it cannot function outside the country it is intended for. I was shocked to hear this, as it is a fundamental design flaw that renders the product useless for international customers like myself.

What disappoints me even more is the fact that this crucial information was not conveyed to me by your customer representative at the time of purchase. As a consumer, I should have been made aware of this limitation, which clearly demonstrates a lack of transparency on your part. It is unacceptable that I am now being asked to order a new machine from Canada at my own expense to rectify a problem that was not caused by my actions but rather by a design flaw.

I bought a dyson air wrap for my daughter a few years ago and from the time till to date we had to keep buying the volumizing round brush attachment three times already and the one we got two days ago wont even attached. Very bad design poorly made with cheap plastic. Seems dyson is putting more affects in technology then the quality of the product. It is not cheap to keep buying $80 attachment on a $800 item. I am so furious and warning all the new buyer to be aware and not waste your $800 on a product they rave about but is so badly designed. Instead of making a better attachment design they keep introducing new attachments. If I had my way I would throw it in the garbage. I am done spending money on this horrible product. Dyson to just stick with vacuums as the one I have is the best thing ever but sorry to say Dyson you suck at this air wrap design.

How is it so difficult to send a box?

Handle (base) of Dyson hair dryer split apart within warranty time. I had registered my hair dryer like I have all my other Dyson products. I was told I would be sent a box to return the dryer in 2-3 days. It's been almost 1 1/2 months and after 5 phone calls and still no box, I have no faith that after I send in my dryer I will ever get a replacement one back. Don't know why it's so difficult to get a box sent to me. What's the problem? I could have driven there myself 10 times over and gotten this done quicker. Very frustrating for such a large customer to have such very poor customer service. Don't think I'll ever purchase another one of their products. Customer service is part of the total experience when shelling out such a large amount of money for a product.

This is a 3th Dyson ph04 that needs to be replaced due to poor workmanship and even worse consumer service.
It is already 8 days from ordering box to send unit back but it still hasn’t sent and calls to consumer service leads me nowhere
Very bad service and I would not recommend to buy this product shame

Terrible Customer Service - Warranty Is A Scam!!!

I purchased a Dyson air wrap last may and it has already died. I asked for a replacement body and they said the part I needed was out of stock, but if I shipped back my unit, they would send me a new one.

I explained that I have a cognitive disability, as well as a physical disability that prevents me from mailing the unit on my own, but if they could have it picked up from my house by a carrier like UPS or FedEx, I would be happy to pack it up.

They said they could not provide this service. I explained I really needed this replacement, but the online chat wasn't going anywhere, so I opted to end it and try again on a different day--perhaps another agent would be able to provide a better experience.

The second agent told me that the part I needed was actually in stock and the first agent I spoke to was wrong. The agent informed me that she processed the shipment of my replacement part, and I saw emails notifying me of it as well.

Feeling confident that my replacement was on the way, I disposed of the unit that was not working. I live in a small studio, so I don't have space to keep things I don't need, and I have limited opportunities to empty my apartment because I have a social worker who helps me clean...but only once per month.

After disposing of the unit, I received a notification that my delivery was cancelled. Why? BECAUSE THE PART WAS ACTUALLY NOT IN STOCK!

Once again, I was being told I needed to ship back my full unit in order to get a replacement...except based on their information and confirmation they were shipping my replacement, I disposed of part of it.

I spent over $1000 for a useless item that died after 7 months and then had the displeasure of experiencing Dyson's abysmal and equally useless "customer service."

I used to like this company. I have two of their vacuums and their hair dryer. I will never buy from this company again and will be making it my personal mission to advise everyone against buying from them should Dyson ever come up in conversation.

Absolutely disgusting business practices.

*****EDIT***** after contacting privately with the information they requested in response to this review, I was told I needed to prove that I returned my full unit in order to get a replacement. Clearly, the person I reached out to did not read my review (and I sent them a link to it just to be thorough). What a joke. This company should be absolutely ashamed. Don’t waste your time. STAY AWAY!

Spits dirt out the back - There is no filter.
Took it into a Vacuum Service and the guy said not to waste my money. The plastic filter allows dirt and dust to go right through the motor and spits it back into the room. They fully did not recommend a Dyson. He said the old ones had a filter to capture the dust but the Cinetic does not. We have mostly dust so that's why the dust spits out the back end and clouds the entire room.

Per your reply - I keep trying.

They lose returns and don't fix the problem

I purchased a Dyson Supersonic hair dryer for my wife for Christmas. It turned out she wanted an Airwrap so I purchased an Airwrapand returned the Supersonic. I never even opened the shipping package for the Supersonic so the return should have been quite simple. When I initiated the return I selected the option to be notified of updates about the return. I have never received a single update.

After I started the return process I was sent an email with a Purolator shipping label with. I was not provided with any instructions on how to complete the return. I contacted customer support and got the instructions which I followed. I followed the tracking number and was alerted that the package arrived at the dyson warehouse Jan 16th 2023. I never received any alert from dyson. I contacted custom support on Jan 19 because I hadn't received an update. I was told that that: "we have successfully received your machine at our warehouse on Jan 16th. And I can for sure assure you that the refund would be Initiated within 7-10 business days."

I waited 10 business days and after still hearing nothing I contacted customer support again on Jan 30th, 2023. I was told that I needed to wait 7-10 business days. After I pushed the support agent they agreed to escalate the process and said I should hear back in 24hrs.

After 3 days I contacted Dyson again On February 2, 2023 and was told that they contacted a support team and need 24-48 hrs to investigate.

I waited 5 days and contacted them again and they are now saying that they received it but it was never checked into inventory. They need another 3-4 days to investigate.

There is still no resolution as of Feb 07, 2023

Horrible experience with our Dyson V11…

Horrible experience with our Dyson V11 cordless vacuum. It stopped working after only 3 months of light use. Submitted two service requests via their website, none of which they responded to within a week. After finally managing to speak to someone over the phone the issue got diagnosed and a new battery was sent out. When the replacement didn't arrive a week later I checked the tracking info and saw that they sent it to the wrong address (despite the fact that they have our address on file as I was able to confirm). Called them and explained the issue. Representative was gonna get in touch with courier to see if they can redirect the battery. Promised me to call back within 20 minutes. That never happened. When I called them again the representative again promised me they would get in touch with the courier, which I didn't accept as a solution. Demanded they send out a new battery ASAP, which they promised to do. All of this has already taken over three weeks and every time I had to call them I spent close to an hour in a queue. We are still waiting for the new battery but even if it fixes the problem I'd never ever buy a Dyson product again. At this price point this level of durability and customer service is unacceptable.

Total failure by Dyson

My fan sparked when on during the night, in Feb 2022. Dyson agreed to take back and replace. Had me sign an agt saying I wouldn't pursue anything further against them. They (claim) didn't have same model of fan in stock (Feb 2022) so sent much larger fan. Far too big and cumbersome and not useful. I told them and they said they would contact when other model available. I emailed several times over several months - since I never heard from them, and their answer always was that with global supply issues that model wasn't available. Finally late Dec 2022 they said they had the fan (in answer to my email). So I packed up the big fan in its box (which I had to store for 10 months - its almost 4 ft tall). Replacement fan arrived - seemed rather large when courier dropped it off. Looked at packaging - its the same stupid fan I just returned. Emailed customer service (about the 12+ email over this debacle) and they claimed that's what I wanted. Seriously - why would I return a model I didn't want only to get the exact same model in return? Fan in box weighs 12 pounds (courier label says this) - so not an easy thing to lug around! Horrific frustration - Dyson wasn't believable at all - I even sent them a photo of the model I wanted selling on Amazon.ca by Dyson. So now I'm stuck with this large fan, still in the box. Completely useless for me. Customer service just gave me a complete runaround for 11 months - and I doubt our little signed agt has any legal weight since they didn't fulfill their end of the bargain. Anyone want to buy a fan - I'll need to sell this one to then buy the much smaller one on Amazon. Do better Dyson - and don't give customers the run around for 10 months!!!

Designed to break right after warranty ending

My vacuum battery started acting up just before the warranty was going to end. I contacted them and they took me through troubleshooting which solved the problem.....now a month later the exact same problem is happening and cleaning the filters didn't fix it. They won't replace the battery under warranty even though it's the same problem from a month ago. I used to recommend this company to all my friends and now I feel scammed and that they design their products to stop working right after the warranty ends.

Horrible quality and even worse customer service

I purchased my Dyson air wrap a little over two years ago and the warranty unfortunately just recently expired. Over the course of my Air Wraps life I have had difficulty on and off with it sometimes not turning on. Each time I would reach out to the Dyson representatives who just kept telling me to wash and clean my filter. This would often work but I’m not somebody who would use my tool every single day and sometimes months would go by between me using it. Well now it won’t turn on at all, and Dyson won’t help me because I’m past the two-year point. Instead of trying to help me the representative said I’m out of luck and Sent me the link to buy a new product. These machines are $700! I saved up so hard to be able to purchase one of these and spent hours doing research trying to decide if it was the right product for me and the product was faulty right from the beginning but Dyson didn’t help me and it’s definitely not helping me now that the warranty is expired. For $700 they should have a warranty that lasts longer than two years, I actually see that they less than the warranty to know one year! $700 is insane and the product should have a similar warranty to their vacuums which I believe is around five years. I’m super disappointed now because I loved my air wrap and the results gave me but I’m now out of luck and stuck with a broken machine that was likely broken from the beginning that Dyson didn’t help me with. Oh and I only used it around 30 times. If you do the math, that costed me $23 per use. I could have gone to the salon for that price

Terrible customer service

Had trouble with Dyson V6 vacuum with no warranty available since old machine. Wrote to customer service and then phoned after completing troubleshooting. The person that answered phone call did not listen to me at all. Definitely using form letters to communicate, offered me discount on new machine but when I checked with retail stores here their prices were lower! Unbelievable. I bought a new vacuum which I like,
but hope I never have to deal with customer service again.

2 brand new vacuums and a replacement battery and still the problem persists!

I bought a V10 Animal on July 11th 2022. The one I received wasn't charging properly. I would have to use the vacuum for a minimum of 3 continuous minutes before it would start to charge. That's 3 minutes using the torque drive cleaner head which is a motorized head and uses more battery power. If I was to use an attachment like the duster which doesn't require more battery power it would probably take twice as long if not longer before it would start to charge. I contacted Dyson and sent them a video and they told me ''Based on the troubleshooting steps, we see that replacement Main body would resolve the issue but as your vacuum is brand new one I would like to exchange your machine to resolve the issue''. I had to send my vacuum back along with all the attachments and everything and then it had to be inspected by a technician to make sure there was a problem with it before they would release the replacement. They released the replacement so the technician obviously found a problem with the vacuum. I got the replacement and it had the exact same problem AGAIN. I contact Dyson again and send them 3 more videos and this time they tell me ''A replacement battery will resolve the issue''. The battery did NOT resolve the issue! Not only did it not resolve the issue but Purolator tried to deliver it to the wrong house on my street and that person wasn't home so they left a delivery notice card of where to go pick it up. The person who lives at that house came and gave me the delivery notice card when he got home and found the card in his mailbox. It cost me $35 to take a taxi to go pick it up! Anyways, so AGAIN I contact Dyson and send them 3 more videos showing that I'm still having the same problem even with the replacement battery and it has now been 6 days without a reply from them! 2 brand new Dyson V10's and a replacement battery and still the problem persists! There is very obviously a defect with the V10! I went on their website to check something and it now says that the V10 Animal has been discontinued. GEEEE, I wonder why! It's no wonder they had it on sale, trying to dump their stock of a defective vacuum. I have filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau and have also contacted Consumer Protection. I will also be making a YouTube video showing the problems with the V10 and to share the poor experience I've had with Dyson. I will leave a link to that video once I have completed it and uploaded it.

They use bots

They use bots - zero custom service. They don’t help nor read emails to understand a customers experience. Instead of troubleshooting, they push and coerce you to buy/purchase a new overpriced and expensive machine. Their products do not last and are very overpriced. Zero support after you buy. Very disappointed, zero value and no recourse after you buy.

Rude and will never get back to you.

-5 starts. Rude customer service on the phone. When I asked the agent to transfer me to a manager, she hung up on me. They ended up taking my hair dryer for inspection and said they will return back to me in 10 business days. They did NOT. I called to follow up and the agent mentioned she will call back in 10 mins. She never called back. I called again and asked for a decent human being to talk to, but actually none of their employees have any decency because basically they feel they can do whatever you want. When you ask for a manager to complain to, they deny you this right and give you an email to send a complaint, and of course, I sent several emails and nobody cares. Now they have my device that I paid for as a hostage. I can’t get it back, I can’t get a new one. I will report them to any regulating body I can find to report this theft
