I had to return my humidifier/purifier…
I had to return my humidifier/purifier twice because it wasn't producing humidity. The first time they replaced it with a refurbished unit that didn't work either. I returned it for repair. Purolator attempted delivery today (3 weeks after I shipped it) and said it was being returned to Dyson because my apt. number was not on the shipment label. I give up!
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Received a humidifier/purifier and within a few months it started emitting a really weird smell.
I contacted them, they sent me a box to send the fan back, and then sent me a replacement.
Within a few weeks I was having the exact same smell issue. I contacted them again and they said they would set me up with a free repair this time, and let me know a box to return the fan is on the way.
2 weeks later, no box in the mail, so I contacted them again. They apologized and said they'll make sure I receive the box to send it back this time.
2 weeks later, still no box in the mail. I contacted them a third time, and the same thing. They apologize and said there was an issue or something and assured me I would receive the box this time.
2 weeks later, for the third time, still no box. I contacted them a fourth time and got the exact same responses. I was on support chat for 3 hours, and asked for proof that the box would be sent this time, either in the form of a shipping label, or a picture and they said they can't provide that. Instead, for proof they just sent me an email with a random return number. I said this isn't proof and I want to make sure I get the box this time.
After going back and forth for hours I gave up and said if I don't receive the box this time I'll be sharing my experience online, so here I am.
I don't recommend them.
Dyson Doesn’t Care About Loyal Customers and their service is a Joke!
My recent experience with Dyson customer service was beyond disappointing and frustrating. On March 8, 2025, I reached out to inquire about the 20% owner discount for purchasing their Airwrap. Instead of assisting me, both the customer service agent and their supervisor were completely unhelpful and unwilling to provide clear answers. They falsely claimed that the discount had been discontinued and that the only way to get it was by trading in a Dyson product, which is absurd. What makes this even worse?? Two of my friends received the exact same 20% discount on February 28th and March 6th without any trade-in. I kept inquiring about that and the customer service agents and supervisor didn't comment on this and were persistent on maintaining their stance while providing false information to clients. The inconsistency and dishonesty from a brand that charges premium prices are unacceptable.
As a long time Dyson customer, I expected better service. But it’s clear Dyson doesn’t care about its loyal customers. This experience has made me seriously reconsider supporting the brand. Why stay loyal to a company that offers subpar service when competitors provide both premium products and a far better customer experience? Thanks Dyson for losing me, my family and friends as your Customer. I also assure you that I will share my frustrating customer service experience with everyone so they can avoid this brand.
I bought two Dyson air straighteners by…
I bought two Dyson air straighteners by mistake. I sent one back using the label that they sent me. It was still in the original packaging. The package was accepted at their warehouse North of Toronto. I have been dealing with this for over 6 months and still have not been given my refund.
At first they claimed that I only sent back the label which is literally insane. When I pointed out that the label does not weigh 2kg they escalated it to another department. I was told on two separate occasions that I would have a refund within 24-48 hrs. Nothing.
I called again and THIS time they claimed they had ALREADY issued the credit back to the Visa card I had used. They claimed that they did this on December 10th 2024. That card was closed in Sept, 2024. At any rate they insisted they sent it and that was that.
SO, I spent MORE of my time to go to the bank that issued the card. They said there is no record of any transactions of any sort since the card was closed. They assured me that if DYSON HAD issued me a refund it would show. The bank told me that I should contact VISA as they might be able to see things on their end that the bank couldn't.
So I spent even more time with Visa. They confirmed to me that there had been NO transactions and assured me that if Dyson had deposited the refund, it would show and the card would issue a cheque to the billing address.
However, there is no record of activity of ANY sort since the card was closed. Not even an attempt by Dyson (which would also have shown).
I am frustrated beyond belief. I have all my paperwork in order and feel that I am going to have to waste MORE time and energy taking them to small claims court. I will win too.
This is either complete incompetence on the part of Dyson or there is something seriously wrong there.
Please note that I can not give a single date for the experience as it has been ongoing for months and months and months.
Horrible company with excellent marketing…
We all really need to start reading other people’s experiences with the companies that spend a lot of money on marketing and advertising. Dyson is a hype created with extraordinary marketing strategies that they have in place.
However, we don’t get what we pay for from this company. Their products are expensive and they break down within one year. Instead of fixing the issues or stop over promising, Dyson is taking the route of cheating their customers. They ask you to send the machine back and promise to send a new machine back within 18 days. However, you have to keep calling them months after sending it back to get any kind of response back. This is a horrible company with very bad customer service. On every platform they have bad reviews and they are doing a really good job at hiding them.

I am writing to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my broken Air Wrap, which I sent to dyson facility for replacement on January 10, with a label provided by dyson. Since then, I have been without the product and have had to follow up multiple times to get any clarity on the status of my replacement.
On my initial call after sending the Air Wrap, I was informed that the replacement would be shipped to me by February 5, 2025. However, after not receiving the item, I called again on February 11, only to be told that they could not provide me with any information on the status and asked me to call back. February 12 when I called, I was informed that it could take another couple of weeks before I receive my Air Wrap.
Feb 22, still no update on the replacement. I called again and spoke to supervisor. They are blaming me for apparently creating my own shipping label and sending to the wrong warehouse, which is completely false. I used a shipping label provided by them to purolator. I have been told time and time again, wait 24 business hrs, wait 48 business hrs etc. with no resolve.
This delay has been incredibly inconvenient, especially given that I’ve been without a product for two months now, and it seems that there is little transparency around when I will actually receive a resolution. As a brand marketed as high-quality, I expect a higher standard of customer service, particularly in resolving issues like these promptly and clearly.

I bought a refurbished vacuum cleaner. 2 days later they are $170 off. They refuse to grant me this discount on the pretext that I bought a refurbished one. Oh yes, I forgot, I can't return it either. I've never experienced this with a company. It's almost dishonest!

The worst company I ever dealt with.my Airwrap didn’t work I bought it refurbished. I contacted them to exchange I got 6 different people to talk how or what I should do. First of all I wasn’t aware I can’t get my money back if refurbished, Airwrap came dirty, with scratches and the box saying it’s been cleaned and as new. Not at all!!! Then asking me to stay home and purolator will pick it up and send it for free. Waiting but purolator never contacted me to pick it up as they had no idea I had something to ship!! So now emailed them to learn that actually ‘we don’t pick up from home’ while the guy online said I don’t even need to print the label as they’ll do all for me. Today I called and the guy said they don’t deal with Airwrap to pick it up as they’ll customer has to go and drop it at purolator. The label he sent in email can’t even open so who is F saying the proper order?!? Everyone in that company send the same ‘sorry for inconvenience’ letter and how they understand the frustration and problems. It’s BS. Sell the good machines for that money!!!! That’s my first and last Dyson I bought as there is better out there. I wish I read all the reviews here as I don’t think I’ll ever have any Dyson. I should be using my Dyson for a month now and I don’t have any money or Dyson!! Scammers!!

Not Honoring the Warranty
Dyson's warranty client care team is very unprofessional. They are not standing behind their product and not honoring their warranty terms. Muskan, Sadiq, Kanaka, Hose, Ankit are extremely unprofessional people - and treating their customers (especially long term, loyal customers) unfairly. I still have 1 year left in my product warranty, and I will continuously keep fighting until end. This is not what I was expecting from Dyson, very frustrating.

Avoid Dyson at all costs – you'll regret it.
I purchased a Dyson V15 Detect, and within less than a year, the brush bar attachment for hardwood floors stopped working. Despite regularly cleaning out dust and hair from the machine every three months and taking good care of it, the vacuum failed in under a year. For a premium, expensive product, this was deeply disappointing.
The real nightmare started with Dyson's customer service, which has been nothing short of abysmal and disgraceful. The representatives are inconsistent, often providing contradictory information, and seem more focused on pushing you off the phone than actually resolving the issue. I’ve now called Dyson close to 10 times, and 90% of their customer service reps have been scummy.
It’s now been 37 days without a vacuum, and I'm still waiting for a replacement. Dyson, a supposed premium brand, claims they need to inspect my return before sending out a refurbished replacement, but they somehow fail to ensure that the replacement remains available while the return of the old machine is processed. They lost the tracking number for my return, and after much effort on my part to track it down (calling Purolator multiple times and begging for it), I was told the replacement was out of stock at the particular warehouse. I was then offered the replacement from another warehouse from which it was in stock. After a week, and multiple calls I'm told that it's out of stock and that's why it hasn't been shipped yet. So we make zero progress over that week.
I then requested a brand new replacement, which was agreed to, but after another week, it still hasn’t been shipped.
Dyson's policy of not shipping replacements until the old unit is returned significantly slows down the process. Combine that with the incompetence across their customer service, warehouse teams, and other departments, and the entire experience has been an absolute nightmare.
Save yourself the frustration – don’t buy Dyson.
These products are a joke
These products are a joke. I own not one but two vacuums, the full hairdryer curler kit and the hot cool fan, only one of them works well. The hair dryer is great right after you use it but within a half hour my head is a big frizz ball, I understand the lower heat changes things but my hair turns out fine if air dried so this product only produces frizz. The one vacuum was a refurb, a gift and it literally works for a total of 1-2 minutes, this is NOT an exaggeration as I have video footage to provide it. My second vacuum was purchased last less than two years ago and I now I can’t even vacuum 25 sq ft before it dies. I clean the filter and dust bowl after every use, I have only one old short haired dog and it’s mostly dust and crumbs that I vacuum. I will never buy this companies product again. The only reason why I did was because 12 years ago I purchased the hot cool fan and it’s still operating. Dyson is a shadow of the company it once was and as per the current agenda has decided to choose profits over quality. It’s only a matter of time without proper customer support and retribution for poor product quality that they will meet their demise.

What a joke when it comes to customer service and price match guarantee. I would like to comment that the following people in customer service did absolutely nothing Harjit,Priyanka,Samdararsh,Om, and Gurwinder. All of them kept telling me that the team will be in touch by email 7-10 days. Nothing after 11 days so once again it is the customer following up. My issue was price matching and the TEAM didn't even follow up or nothing. Customer service only gives me the SORRY because they are thousands of miles away that is easy to do. Why do you have a 30 day return policy if it takes over 2 weeks to receive it once ordered. So you get 2 weeks to decide? If you tell me that you would look at that situation if it came to that, then that was what the price match was just 2 weeks after. That is so nice to a senior who purchased this item.
Broken Vacuum. Zero Support. Money Pit.
I purchased a Dyson Vacuum 5 years ago. 4 years ago a part (dust bin) was not sealing properly. I contacted Dyson and they told me they would not cover the issue under warranty and that the part I would need to purchase was on back order. A year later I contacted Dyson again as the part was still unavailable. But, somehow, the chat agent was happy that she could send me the part at that time and at my cost. I threw out the old part and the new one arrived. WRONG PART! It did not fit my machine and Dyson clearly had my serial number so this mistake should not have happened. So, again, I contacted Dyson. They told me to wait for when the part is back in stock and then re-order (again at my cost). No other solutions. This has happened 3 more times. I contact the company and they deny any sort of help. Except today. They offered me 20% off a new vacuum if I traded mine in. I feel taken advantage of. There is nothing I can do as the part hasn't been available for 4 years. They offer no solution and no help. I have a 1000$ piece of garbage taking up garage space. There is literally nothing I can do to fix this. Dyson refuses to help. I have paid for a new part that they sent me in error. I have chatted with several agents. I have tried every suggestion (other than buying a new machine myself). What am I doing wrong as a consumer? Please, do not buy from this company. The lack of support and sudden missing parts that never come back into stock tells a big story about how they operate. Every interaction I have had with an agent ended in an offer from them to me to spend more money. Disgusting Dyson.
Will not support products with known issues
Will not support products, when simple google search shows that there are very common problems, ie design defects. In my case it’s about the Purifier Humidifier. The pump column and electronics are clearly very know issues yet a solution via FB Messenger is 20% off a new machine if I bring my old one in. Absolutely unreasonable for a 1000$ machine with a design issue. Also, the official Dyson support email that I’m unable to post in this review….in the auto reply I received from that address, it says this address is “not a monitored inbox”. What??? Clearly

I have purchased 5 of the Dyson Hot /cold air purifiers, 4 Dyson vacuums and a Dyson Hair dryer. The products work well until they fail which when the nightmare of Dyson service begins. Dyson expects you to build a box for the product, pay for the shipping to Toronto area and then they will tell you if they will repair it and how much it will cost you. You are effectively cornered to pay whatever they ask or throw away the device or pay to have your defective product shipped back to you. This level of service for a company that charges such premium prices is unacceptable.

Shady Business Practices
I ordered a refurbished airwrap from Dyson Official Outlet via Best Buy Marketplace. I had converted a year's worth of Air Miles into gift cards in order to afford the purchase.
Went to check my order status and found it had been cancelled. Contacted Best Buy and was told Dyson must have done it by accident.
Placed another order. It too was cancelled. Contacted Best Buy again and was told there may be a problem with my credit card information.
Placed a third order with a different credit card and contacted my original credit card company. No problems with my credit card. Also, no problem with the gift cards; I checked the balance. Triple checked all my info. No problems. Dyson then cancelled the third order.
Back to customer service and was told Dyson cancelled my order due to low stock, so I contacted Dyson, because their website said it was in stock. I was told it IS in stock and offered a price match. Then they reneged and said they can't price match to non-official stores. Then they discovered that it really is an official store, but they can only price match new items. Forty Five minutes later, I was told to place the order through Best Buy again and was assured Dyson would not cancel it this time.
I replaced the order and sent a message along with it not to cancel it. The next day...CANCELLED. Contacted Dyson again. They offered to sell it to me for a much higher price.
It shouldn't be this hard to buy something for the price they are asking! It's very shady to list items as on sale if they aren't willing to sell them for that price!
I was a die-hard Dyson fan. We have two vacuums from them and I've been recommending them to anyone who asks. I know they won't care, but I won't be purchasing from Dyson again. When our vacuum breaks, I'll be finding a dupe.
Vacuum stopped working and Dyson doesn’t have parts
My Dyson stick vaccuum head stopped working a year after I bought the machine. The rest of the vacuum works fine.
I contacted Dyson since the machine is under warranty and they said they don’t have the part and have no idea when it will be available so the best option for me with only a year left on my warranty is to opt for a refurbished machine!!! I paid over 1500 dollars for this machine a year ago and it still is on warranty!!! I asked if I got the refurbished machine would my warranty then be void … it’s been crickets ever since. IMO they should replace the machine with a new one since it is still on warranty or the newest model not some refurbished one that might have more problems than my current one.
