I purchased a ticket, received a phone call that I was on standby and there were no openings until Oct. No, where did it state that I was purchasing a standby ticket. I then went to the airline where my ticket was through and purchased a ticket with the same flight that crownfares said was booked with no opening. They took my money and where not easy to work with. They are very misleading and thefts.

⚠️ BE VERY CAREFUL WITH CROWN FARES ⚠️

I made two bookings and received “Booking Success” emails, but never received the actual airline-issued e-tickets. After charging me $146.31 USD and $556.48 USD, I was later told I needed to pay substantially more money. For one booking, I was told the additional amount was over $900 USD for the second passenger.

I refused to pay more and requested cancellation/refund, but was told I could not get my money back. I also experienced calls being disconnected when trying to resolve the issue.

I have saved all emails, booking confirmations, payment records, and communications and have submitted them to my credit-card company for review.

My personal experience has been extremely concerning. I would strongly recommend verifying directly with the airline that a ticket has actually been issued before paying Crown Fares any additional money.

The lady was yelling at me on the phone and told me i shouldn’t have contacted my airline. The airline had no info with my name or booking ever being processed. Scamiest of scammy !!!

It’s bait and switch. Paid 331.56 for 2 one way tickets then was contacted the next day and told that i had to pay an additional $1000 dollars for the tickets. No refund. AVOID this site.

I booked a flight on August 31 and received a message saying that my e-ticket would arrive within approximately four hours.

I never received an e-ticket, ticket number, or final airline confirmation. More than 24 hours passed with no ticket and no confirmation, so I reasonably believed the booking had not been completed.

Then, approximately two days after I made the reservation, the charge appeared on my card.

I have tried several times to contact CrownFares by phone. On my most recent call, the representative asked me for my booking reference number. I provided it, and the call was disconnected. I have not been able to get proper assistance, and I could not find a clear way to cancel the reservation online.

Because I never received a valid e-ticket and could not rely on this reservation, I had to purchase another ticket.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience. I strongly recommend checking reviews before booking and making sure you receive an actual e-ticket before relying on a CrownFares reservation.

If I could 0 stars for this company, I would. I was totally frustrated while booking with this crappy website!

They cannot guarantee your booking dates (not even for 2 days) and charge you a fee for cancelling the booking.

Very bad experience with scummy tactics

Same as other customers. I had a bad feeling about this and I went against my better judgement. I am in the middle of the bait and switch. It’s complicated and annoying. And I’m thinking about just taking my loses and refuse to give more money. They can give me my flight at the price I bought or not. This is already an awful experience. All of this is unnecessary and wrong.
Who has advice on what I should do?

This is a typical Bait-n-Switch scam travel site. I booked a flight and after paying my travel dates was changed. Major scam site. Stay away!!

I am ashamed and deeply upset to say that I believe I have been badly scammed by CrownFares.

I booked flights through CrownFares believing I was making a legitimate travel reservation. I had specific flights, dates, and an airport in mind and paid for that itinerary based on the price I was quoted.

After my payment was authorized, I received a booking confirmation, but I did not receive the actual airline ticket confirmations or airline e-ticket numbers. I was then told that the original fare was no longer available and that I would need to pay substantially more.

Afterward, my reservation was changed to different flights, different dates, and a different airport—changes that I did not agree to.

When I tried to cancel the booking and get my money back, I was told that I did not have the option to cancel. I spent hours on the phone repeatedly asking them to cancel the booking and refund my money. I became so overwhelmed and distressed that I cried and begged them to refund me.

Instead of simply processing my cancellation request, I was repeatedly presented with more expensive alternatives and pressured to choose another date or airline.

I did not want a different date. I did not want a different airline. I did not want a different airport. I wanted the itinerary I originally paid for—or, if that could no longer be provided at the agreed price, I wanted to cancel and receive a refund.

At this point, I feel completely trapped and taken advantage of. I paid for one itinerary, my travel arrangements were changed, and I was told that I could not cancel.

I am also concerned about the address provided to me for CrownFares. The address listed above appears to be a residential property in Georgia. I am sharing this only as part of my experience and to encourage other travelers to independently verify the company they are dealing with.

I also believe that if a fare is advertised on a company's website and a customer agrees to purchase based on that advertised price, the company should honor what its website advertises rather than changing the price after payment has been authorized.

I am sharing this because I don't want anyone else to experience the same stress, frustration, and potential financial loss that I am experiencing. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise travelers not to book through CrownFares without doing extensive research and independently verifying everything.

Please be extremely careful before booking. Verify your ticket directly with the airline, confirm that the ticket has actually been issued, obtain the airline's e-ticket number, confirm the exact itinerary, and make sure you fully understand the cancellation and refund terms before paying.

I never imagined that something as ordinary as booking an airline ticket could turn into such a stressful and upsetting experience.

I am not posting this to attack anyone. I am posting it because I want my money back, I want this situation resolved, and I want other travelers to be aware of what happened to me.

If you are considering booking with CrownFares, please do your research and proceed with extreme caution.
