SCAM SITE!! -Never got my etickets supposed to get them four hours afterwards. AVOID!!

The agent misled us and changed the flights to a city 4 hours away. Not what ee asked for or agreed to. Spoke to 2 different supervisors and all they did was argue and refused to correct their mistake or refund

I was stupidly lured in by the crazy cheap prices and made a reservation on Smart Cheap Fares (SCF). my credit card was declined. Capital One automatically declines transactions from them as they have so many fraud complaints. I canceled my card. SCF called and emailed me for the next hour until I finally blocked and reported spam. The confirmation code I received wasn't legit. AVOID!

This is not a real company, but just scam by bait-and-switch pricing. They lure you in with a cheap flight, email you a booking confirmation and then ring you the next day to say it’s a standby flight, and you have to pay more if you want a standard cabin flight. No refund of course. A bit later, you get a mail demanding you pay extra taxes. And so on.
Wonder why this scam business hasn't been closed yet.

Absolute worst experience EVER. They lie, they scam and they are unhelpful. They said the ticket was not confirmed and that there was no carry-on. Telling me i should have gone to their website, when i clicked on the ticket directly, not through their website. They lied and conned me out of an extra $100 for a carry-on I asked for. Instead, they "upgraded" my personal item 5lbs for the extra $100 AND changed my ticket for the next day. Then I had to pay $140 to the actual airline for my carry-on. I had to spend 30 hours in the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Which, if anyone has been there, they won't let you into the actual airport until the day of your flight. I had to spend 24 hours in the lobby of the airport with no access to anything except the restrooms. I called their customer service line and spoke to a supervisor who kept reassuring me that their guy did nothing wrong. He sent me a document that said "personal item" and not "carry-on". That i paid the extra money so I could have the option to pay even more money for a carry-on. I went from $140 for the ticket to $400. I was going to go through the airline website but they didn't have the times I wanted, which is how I ended up buying their ticket. I could have bought a round trip ticket for less AND have a carry-on. SCAM BUSINESS! No wonder the BBB has investigated them! This was a life lesson I will not ever forget!!

Scam website, bait and switch.

They will rip you off and shred you to pieces. They will NOT issue a ticket and charge your credit card. Scammers need to be reported to FBI Cyber Crime Team

I wish I had checked this before I bought my tickets. Smartcheapfares site is a complete scam. I booked my tickets they changed the date saying the airline was overbooked for the flight I picked to go. I could upgrade at twice the cost of the original ticket to fly on the original date. When I went direct to the airline page it is not overbooked. Absolute scam. DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THEM!

The only reason I gave 1 star is because a negative rating is unavailable!!!! BEWARE ‼️ I booked 2 round trip flights for a funeral, 5 hours later I was contacted by this company demanding another $600 to confirm my flight date or my flight would not be guaranteed. I requested a refund and was very rudely told it was not refundable.... Nowhere on the ticket site did it state the tickets were nonrefundab or dates were not confirmed, I fly all the time and this is the first time I've ever been contacted by a 3rd party demanding more money to confirm dates or they would absolutely be changed to a later date (not of my choosing) SCAM‼️ SCAM‼️SCAM‼️

I literally received a call 5 minutes after booking saying my flight is going to be cancelled and I needed to pay $159 more each way to secure a new ticket it’s A SCAM the people are rude af they need to be sgit down in just out of my money

I booked a flight and I made a mistake with some of the details. Ruby was so helpful and was able to get me a full refund!!

I dislike that they never gave me my flights tickets and when I call them the first time they hung up on me. The second time Ace Cooper try to help me find a flight and ended up giving me a refund at the end.

This company is an absolute fraud, and their booking is a scam. They took my money and gave me a booking reference number only to contact me later to change not only the dates of my trip but the available prices. Oniginally $267, they wanted over $900 for completely different dates. For the dates they had available, they did not have economy seats, so I could pay the higher price for tickets on a different date or cancel my ticket and receive no refund. $267 down the drain! A total bate and switch operation. BUYER BE WARE!

I had an extremely frustrating and misleading experience with SmartCheapFares. I paid $908 for a flight, thinking everything was confirmed, only to be told AFTER payment that I would need to pay an additional $800 to actually complete the booking. This was NEVER clearly disclosed upfront.

No transparent pricing, no clear explanation of total cost, and no chance to accept or decline these terms before they took my money.

What makes this even worse is that their own policy states that refunds can be processed if a cancellation request is submitted and falls within the fare rules. I requested a cancellation, I am NOT a “no-show,” and yet they are making it difficult to resolve the issue.

This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic:

* Advertise low fares
* Take your payment
* Then hit you with unexpected additional charges

Now I’m stuck trying to recover my money while also needing to rebook travel for my trip (June 5th–7th). This has caused unnecessary stress and financial strain.

Customer service has not been helpful, and there is a clear lack of transparency and accountability.

I will be escalating this through my financial institution and reporting this to consumer protection agencies.

🚫 Save yourself the stress, time, and money — book directly with airlines or reputable platforms instead.

1/10 experience. Would NOT recommend under any circumstances
