The perfect scam I found cheap flight buddy on The web and tickets were only $380. My wife was searching and found the same tickets for around 600 and some dollars so I booked a 380 and immediately got an email saying that they’re confirmed but not guaranteed this. Was it 9:30 in the evening at 7:30 the next morning I get a call from them telling me these tickets are nonrefundable non-cancelable and I couldn’t take any luggage. I couldn’t even pay for extra luggage when I get to the airport and they can change the dates or times or airlines and I went back and read the fine print and I did not see all of this it does say they are not guaranteed called Discover card and they said that I had to wait till posted before I could protest it so I called the cheap buddy back and told them I wanted to cancel get a full refund and a confirmation number. They kept giving me jibber jabber about additional prices and they could book my airfare and different things but I kept saying cancel refund confirmation number. They finally hung up and half hour later they called me back and they says we can cancel your flight and due to the airline charging $50 per person they would refund $280 of my 380. I did accept their offer and told them this is a perfect scam. I really wanted to wait 30 to 90 days and get a full refund through Discover but for peace of mind, I accepted your offer for a refund of $280 so they scammed me out of $100. This is truly the perfect scam.

If you're able to give a -0 review I would. I have a family emergency thought this was a great price for an airline ticket. Within 10min they were calling me (leaving no messages) and sending me emails to quickly call them back. I called back a male answered and immediately put me on hold. Someone else picked up told me they had to reprocess my payment since it had declined. Then after being on hold for awhile a manager picked up started asking me if I was ok with the restrictions of my flight. I said I wasn't agreeing with anything til I heard these restrictions. Well according to this mgr I bought a non-refundable greatly discounted ticket, but I wasn't guaranteed the trip. What I paid for was for a stand by ticket, no carry-ons or checked luggage allowed only an 8in purse. Since I wasn't agreeing to that I can upgrade but had to pay over $1000. Once again I wasn't agreeing to that at all. Was told multiple times that my monies were non-refundable. Then they found another airline that I can take a personal and carry-on luggage but once again had to pay more money. After telling this manager we wanted nothing to do with this scamming business he had & us hanging up on him multiple times. He kept on calling back to continue harassing us. My husband had to threaten this so called manager that we were gonna call the police for harassment. They stopped calling for about 2hrs then started calling us back again from different unknown numbers. This company shouldn't be in business at all. THEY ARE JUST SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!

Typical bait and switch. Booked a round trip ticket for 400$ which cheap flight buddy confirmed and accepted the payment. 2 weeks later they sent a letter saying that they are canceling the reservation with no explanation. When we called to rebook it all the seats were taken and that the $400 was now only good for one way. Those shisters for some reason did not run the credit card and was planning to steal from a client, me again like by making them rebook at almost double the price. They said that they did not cancel the flight until I read them the letter that they had sent me.
I will say that they train their employees know how to lie and deceive as they have a lot of practice doing so according to their reviews on several sites.

TOTAL SCAM Non-US representatives stock calling me saying my flight is subject to change and I would have to spend $700 more to get my flight with a 17hr layover instead of my original direct 3hr flight. I hope you were able to read this before they scam you. Only use Expedia or Travelocity.

This company is a Scam,I made a reservation for a ticket from Carlifonia to New York and they took the money and did not issue the ticket they told me if I want the ticket i must pay twice the price because they didnt want to refund my money ..I would not recommend anyone to book their flight tickets with them.

I’ll be quick and to the point because it is very clear that all the other reviews say what I’m gonna say. It is very evident that every positive review here except for maybe one is not a real review. Just go look at their history of reviews. Honestly, I’m not one to care and don’t like giving bad reviews but holy heck this place is impressive on how much they try to scam you. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Also I was on hold for 5 hours and nobody answered because they are a scam they don’t want to be contacted they want to only contact you if they have your money. Seriously they will screw you don’t do it.

Watch Out Booking With This Company...I booked a flight paid it in full...then they called and wanted more money and said my flight was only booked on standby unless I paid almost double the price on top of what I already paid to 100% confirm my reservation...that's a total scam..... DON'T USE THIS SITE....

This company is a scam.

I paid $708.02 and received a confirmation that my booking was successful. After that, they called me and tried to force me to pay an additional $589 per passenger, which was never disclosed during booking.

When I refused, they denied issuing the tickets and refused to refund my money. The representative Ashley was extremely rude and unprofessional and even said my bank would not be able to help me. The call is recorded.
This is clearly misleading and deceptive business practice. Avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely DO NOT use this company. It is bait-and-switch. They make you pay for the flight, tell you that you have the flight, then call and say you have to pay $400 more for that flight and there are NO refunds for what you already paid. You cannot get any money back even though it was 30 min later. DO NOT use them.

Purchased round trip tickets for 3 people from Rochester, NY to Reno, NV. Website was cheapflightsbuddy.com Was given a purchase price of $630.45 and received my itinerary. The following morning I received a call from the company stating that the standby tickets were no longer available and that they would work to get me a better deal and call back. I googled the website and found out information that they scam many people and use a bait and switch tactics to con people into paying more than double that they originally offered for the fare. Received a call back within a few hours. They stated the total trip now would be $1400 for basically the same airline and times. I politely said no thank you just please refund my money as no tickets were ever purchased. He said we cannot refund you would need to purchase tickets thru them. I ask why my money would not be refunded and he stated it was a standby fee at this point without purchasing any tickets. I have contacted my credit card company, they said nothing they can do until the transaction is no longer pending.

Only rated 1 star cause no stars were not an option. terrible that these people scam you out of your money then offer you a flight 20 days later. IF i needed to fliy in 20 days I would have bought a ticket for that day.
They are nothing but a scam. Their "upgrade fee" was MORE than the ticket price from Southwest directly. Then they said I should have known it was a scam when i saw the price. The disclaimer about historical data means you can only fly when they say you can not when you are scheduled for this company sucks and should be shut down.

This agency is a scamming business, don’t know why UA and many airline use them as the agency to sell ticket. They firstly bait customers which cheap fare, then when customer check out to reservation and pay , they then create situations telling customers the fare only one stop , customers need to pay more to get the flight on schedule.. I booked and paid 2 weeks in advance and they waited for last hours to send the confirmation.. I called them many many times in 24 hours rule to check in on line , they have never picked up the phone… they ran this business couple guys , I remembered Trevor .. which I talked to him, the conversation acted like scammers, they tried to rush you and squeezed you after checking out and paid … never book the flight through this agency… FBI should watch their eyes in their monkey business.. I had to book another flight through Expedia which I got a confirmation at once after booking. Now I am asking for refund , UA only accepted to use the opening ticket for a year.. very frustrating in this Cheapflightbuddy… got hard time and anxious , worry…

This airline is absolute trash. Absolute scam. Called and told me that I had no carry on and tried sending me to Canada saying that it was a closer airport while it was way different from where I needed to be. Lost $600 because of these people. Also tried sending me to an airport three hours away. Also tried to get me to spend and extra $300. I do not recommend them.

Definitely a scam. I purchased a ticket on 3/13/26 for $198 round trip to Miami. My phone immediately started ringing. They called six times in a row but never left a message. I got an email last night saying they needed more information. I called and the rep told me there were no more seats on the my flight. But then he proceeds to tell me if I pay an additional $280 I could get a flight similar to the time I had requested. I asked him if that was the case why did they seat me on the flight in the first place. There were plenty of seats when I made the reservation. He was rude and told him I would call back after I checked some things out. I hung up and he called right back asking why I hung up and he needed me to pay the money now if I want to go on my trip. He also stated that if I didn’t pay it I would just be wasting money because it’s non refundable and I might as well pay the extra. I’m furious! I set my flight up with my family because we are going together. Now I’m out of the $200 and still don’t have a ticket. I called my bank and they said I can’t dispute it until after the money is pulled from my account. It’s currently pending because they want me to pay more. I don’t how it’s going to play out because I’ve never had this happen before. But either way I’m screwed. I’m really sorry to anyone else this has happened to and I hope it works out for you.

This site is a scam. DO NOT USE!! They get you by offering a very low price. With the ticket I purchased I could not select my seat, have any carry on or pay for a suitcase. The dates were not locked in they were open dates. Once I called I had to pay $300 addition for the departure and return flight. In addition, the airport was was changed. I will NEVER use this site again.
