I want to give a HUGE shoutout to…

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Carhartt.

My wife got me a couple of Carhartt vests for Christmas — along with a pretty expensive GoPro camera. The vests ended up being too big, so we boxed them up and sent them back.

What I didn’t realize… was that I had accidentally left the GoPro inside one of the boxes before we shipped it.

When it hit me what I had done, I was sick to my stomach. I immediately called Carhartt customer service. I honestly thought I’d never see that camera again. They made a note on the account that it might be in the return box — and then we waited.

Weeks went by.

Tonight we opened our front door… and there it was.

They shipped the camera back to us.

I can’t even begin to explain how relieved and excited I was. In a world where customer service can sometimes fall short, this was next-level integrity and professionalism.

Major respect to not just Carhartt customer service, but everyone involved behind the scenes who took the time to track it down and make it right.

That’s how you build brand loyalty. 👏

Dramatisch slechte kwaliteit!

Ik heb 6 hoodies van Carhartt gekocht. De kwaliteit is echt dramatisch! Na twee keer dragen zitten ze onder de pluisjes en na een paar keer wassen is het model er helemaal uit. Ik heb ze na een half jaar allemaal tot poetsdoek kunnen maken. Ik heb de klantenservice gemaild, maar die reageren nergens op. Wat een kansloos merk en een kansloos bedrijf.

Quality has left Carhartt

I have had great experiences with Carhartt clothing until recently. I purchased 2 pair of a style of jean paid 50 plus dollars a piece. Within 2 months one pair tore down the seam by the zipper bad enough where they are garbage and the other pair started ripping by the left rear pocket I made Carhartt aware of it never asking for replacement. Just telling them the quality went down hill. They said no we want to replace them. I sent them pics and they said we will complete the claim and send them out right away. Now they are saying send them in and we will decide within 14 days. I works 14 hour days. It’s not worth the hassle. I can just go to Tractor Supply and by 2 pair off cheap pants for a quarter of the price of Carhartt and get 6 months out of them. Don’t say one thing and do another that’s how people turn there back on you. Been a customer for I don’t remember how many years. Never thought of writing or reading reviews but after this incident and reading the reviews I don’t know if Carhartt is a wise choice anymore. Brought it on yourself Carhartt.

A disaster from start to finish

A disaster from start to finish.

Not only do they have about 75 different companies, all apparently with different customer service teams and processes, but if you’re based in the UK you’re forced to call their German team at a high cost. They don’t even answer, which makes the cost seem all the more pointless.

I am sick to death of chasing for updates. Their team are flippant, lacking in empathy and lazy in their responses.

This used to be a class brand. Now it’s a shell of its former self, relying on snide tactics and smoke & mirrors techniques to evade doing the right thing by their high paying customers.

A ridiculous way of dealing with people. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere, these money grabbing charlatans don’t deserve a penny of it.

Carhartt Rain jacket

I bought a Carhartt Rain jacket similar to the Monterey jacket. The first day I wore it there were patches of the rain jacket that would soak with water rather than bead off, chest back and parts of the sleeves. I was left soaked after just a few minutes. I contacted Carhartt customer service for warranty the following Monday. I have been emailing back and forth since January 3rd its now the 21st. They are trying very hard to make the warranty process difficult to avoid the warranty. At first it seemed like they were going to replace the jacket. I provided everything they requested and photos of the jacket soaked thru in places and others dry.
I always loved Carhartt but things seem to have changed with this company.

The only problem I have with carhartt…

The only problem I have with carhartt pocket t-shirts is the threads come loose in the bottom of the pocket and things fall out of the pocket. This has happened on almost every shirt I have. They need to be sewn better on the bottom of the pocket.

Bad product

I bot 3 pairs carhartt carpenter jeans end of august 2025, and the first jeans broke within a month, the second jeans broke in two weeks, same way and same spot.
Shitty quality, looks like they're made from recycled toilet paper

Un vero e proprio INCUBO

Un vero e proprio INCUBO, non comprate assolutamente nulla da questo sito. Ho fatto un ordine con consegna garantita entro Natale se effettuato prima del 16 dicembre. Ebbene sono stato tutta la vigilia ad aspettare un corriere che loro sostenevano sarebbe certamente arrivato (forse intendevano Babbo Natale?), in tutto ciò non ho MAI avuto il link del tracking funzionante. Finite le festività, comincio a tempestarli di email, e mi dicono che il pacco è tornato in magazzino per problemi e che me lo stanno per rispedire. Gli dico, anzi gli intimo di non spedire per nessuna ragione al mondo e di rimborsarmi. Niente mi dicono che non è possibile fermare la spedizione e che dovrò poi procedere con il reso. Mi hanno detto che lo rispedivano in giornata e che sempre in giornata avrei ricevuto il nuovo tracking. Dopo 7 giorni non ho ancora nessuna mail né con il tracking né con la conferma di spedizione. Adesso li bombardo di chiamate e se non mi rimborsano subito dovrò agire per vie legali per recuperare i miei soldi. NON COMPRATE DA QUESTO SITO E' COMPLETAMENTE INAFFIDABILE!

I ordered a gift card for Christmas on…

I ordered a gift card for Christmas on 12/7/2025. I had not received on December 23. Called company, was transferred to third party "gift card" company. Was told that I needed to wait until JANUARY 10 to report a problem/get a refund. Called on January 10, was told the gift card has been sent and I could not cancel, just need to wait to see if it arrives. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. 5 weeks for a gift card to arrive is unacceptable!

Carhartt Nylon Duck Lay-Flat Clutchunusableand unreturnable

I received a Carhartt Nylon Duck Lay Flat Clutch Wallet for Christmas. The Clutch is unusable, The main purpose is to hold credit cards and driver's license but the pockets are so tight that you can not insert more than 2 credit cards in the five pockets, and once you get them in it is very difficult to get them out. The nylon duck will not stretch. I believe Carhartt knows this product is unusable as they have discontinued the product, but they will not allow you to exchange the product for any other Carhartt product unless you have an order number. Of course I do not have that order number because it was a gift.

I have been trying to get help for months

I have been trying to get help repairing my bibs for almost THREE MONTHS now. The most ridiculous customer service I've ever experienced. They would ask me one question, I'd promptly respond, with details, pictures, anything requested, and then it would be over a week and then I'd get another one line response. It took a month for them to tell me if the rip is over 3" they can't repair it. Took two months for them to tell me- I can sendy bibs in and they will see if they can consider them for an exchange. It's been three weeks since they told.me UPS would be sending a label to send my bibs back.
Seriously, SERIously?? I am now halfway through the ski season with torn bibs. I'm using some old Burton pants right now, which don't have the Backcountry give in them but at least aren't torn up the butt. I could almost 100% guarantee you if I was to reach out to Burton, I could get help within the week. I've been a Long time buyer of Carhartt, think early 1990's ranch kid turned Backcountry enthusiast, but this Absolutely Horrible handling of what could have been an easy fix lost my business.
Carhartt, I've probably spent 5 grand with your company in the last 10 years alone. Those days are done. Anyone asks, and I talk with a Lot of outside minded folks given what I do professionally and socially, I will be directing their interest elsewhere.
If you're looking for bibs, and you plan to wear them hard, unless you're fine just tossing them and buying another pair, look elsewhere.

I've bought carhartt for years but not again the quality is that of cheap knock offs thin and flimsy not like previous Odessa Caps.
Another company putting profits over quality. I'll go to primark same quality and a third of the price.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, terrible shipping.

For whatever reason, Carhartt use GLS for shipping. So won’t be ordering directly again, if I ever get my order.

Ordered a coat during Black Friday. Followed the tracking, the code supposedly arrived in Ireland on the 5th of December. After a four week of sitting in the depot, I contacted Carhartt to ask them if they have more detailed tracking. I was then told that because my item was still within it 11 working day delivery timeframe, they could do nothing about it. 11 working days, to ship within Europe in 2025 let that sink in. Also, the idea that nothing can be done and a query couldn’t be raised is utterly preposterous.

Anyway, on the 11th working day I managed to get through to the courier to be told that my parcel is likely lost. So, email from the courier telling me my parcel’s likely lost, the courier’s own website tracking shows that the item has been stuck in Ireland and not moved.

I contact Carhartt and tell them this, and send evidence of this. Their response, when they actually reply? They ask me to complete a form from the delivery company confirming I haven’t received the parcel and entering into a binding declaration that if I’m lying, I’m committing fraud. Oh, and this form has to be printed off and signed. Again, in Europe in 2025.

I don’t think any customer should be signing a document for a courier, in any situation. Customers have contracts with retailers, not couriers. Here is the mad thing, though, I’m not disputing the courier company tracking. My account aligned with their internal emails and their website tracking. I’m saying I’ve not received the parcel, which their system is also show.

So why does Carhartt think it’s acceptable to offer this as a solution? Absolute joke of a company. I’ll wait two days for another reply. Reading through response is here, people are awaiting 21 days. 21 working days. That’s over a calendar month for a refund. Again, 2025 in the EU.

Utterly farcical. I don’t know if Carhartt Europe is run under a franchise model, but this level of customer service really needs looking at.

Seit etwas mehr als sieben Jahre trage…

Seit etwas mehr als sieben Jahre trage ich bei der Arbeit Sicherheitsschuhe von Carhartt den Hamilton Moccasin. Und das erste paar konnte ich noch neu besohlen lassen, die waren noch in einem so guten Zustand. Bei neueren Paaren war die Sohle Schneller abgelaufen. Das paar, welches ich letztes Jahr gekauft habe, war in kürzester Zeit die Schutzkappe sichtbar und die Sohle löst sich vom Schuh. Und die, welche ich gerade bekommen habe, denen sieht man das schlechte Leder schon von weitem an, von der Sohle ganz zu schweigen. Das werden wohl die letzten Schuhe sein, die ich von Carhartt gekauft habe. Schade
