It is taking far too long for Canada…
It is taking far too long for Canada Life to release funds, up to 30 days, and form are sent by post, it is archaic in the 21st century. I am very disappointed

Great value investment opportunities

Fixed term income plan
I spent a long time on the phone as the process was not explained clearly, and I did not really understand what was happening throughout.
After eventually receiving the paperwork, I discovered that someone else’s Key Facts document had been included, which was very concerning from a data protection and confidentiality perspective.
Overall, the experience was confusing and poorly handled.

Awful experiance
Awful experiance, Canada Life use an emergy tax code dispite having your correct code, I suspect it's easier for them than to do their due diligence. HMRC send them your tax code each year so even if only a small part of your drawdown should be subjected to tax they charge you the upper tax limit using the emergency tax code. One has to ask does this save them money ?.Also to send a simple email takes them three weeks from request. I would never advise anyone to use Canada Life.

A life gift to your family
Confident about Canada Life they had a good review.
Information given and process went through smoothly and quickly.
It was the best way for me to use Canada life to get money from my home without dipping into savings and leaving myself short. If l go into a home my house would have to be sold to pay for care this way my family can have something a life gift.

Canada Life can’t calculate Tax
Canada Life appear unable to calculate tax correctly in a quarterly payment cycle. HMRC confirm the error and CL complaints in the last tax year assured me that they ‘now’ had the correct tax code and my deductions would be correct in the 26/27 tax year. They were wrong, as again CL have allocated 1 month of my personal allowance against a quarterly payment (3 months) which selects in too much tax being deducted. Their response is to direct me to HMRC to reclaim it, which I cannot do until the end of the tax year.
I would advise everyone to avoid Canada Life if considering an Annuity.
