Customer adviser explained very clearly how to proceed with the claim and what to expect the repairing garage to do. Also explained the maximum awards Autiguard would pay for inspection, labour costs etc.

On holiday,from the Orkney Isles in Campervan garage in Perth looked at faulty electric step and got permission from Autoguard for payment so that the work could be done on our return journey to Perth, avoiding a return ferry trip after our return home to Orkney!

I purchased an ex-DHL van from Merthyr Tydfil Car Auction on 20/7/26 it came with 6 months warranty provided by Autoguard Warranties Ltd. I had been using the vehicle and been very pleased until 20/9/26 when I pulled out on to the A47 main road, there was a sudden loud bang and juddering as if the van had been hit by something, followed by a grinding noise and no drive. The fault was found to be the rear axle half shaft splines had sheared. I contacted Autoguard and complied with their claims procedure. Despite the catastrophic failure of the transmission apparently being covered by their 'warranty' their response to a photo of the stripped splines was "we cannot evidence sudden mechanical failure, this failure would be deemed gradual deterioration due to the amount of wear on the splines." It certainly felt like sudden mechanical failure to me, I hadn't experienced any problem up until the moment it failed. If I had known this would be the response to a claim, I would have much preferred to have saved a bit on the van's purchase cost and not wasted the time engaging with their claims process. Autoguard continue to argue, a sudden critical component failure, in my case drive shaft splines is not covered by their 'warranty' as they consider it normal wear and tear. Their argument make no sense because drive shaft splines, are not usually a wearing part, like wheel nuts they also deliver torque to the driven wheel and can be expected to last for the lifetime of the vehicle. My previous Sprinter with over 400,000 miles has still not had any problem with the drive shaft splines and non of my vans before that ever had this component fail. If a critical part like this is not covered by Autoguard's 'warranty' it would appear that any claim could potentially be dismissed using the same argument.

I don’t know what they cover, I took the gold cover and after submitting the claim it says the claim is declined. While taking the insurance they said if you go for gold plan all mechanical , electrical and hybrid batteries are covered.

I’ve had an excellent experience dealing with AutoGuard Warranties and would have no hesitation recommending them.

Having worked in the motor trade for many years, I’ve dealt with warranty companies both as a customer and from the service advisor’s side, and unfortunately I’ve had plenty of frustrating experiences in the past. AutoGuard were a completely different experience.

From the first contact, they were extremely easy to deal with. They were easy to get hold of, knew exactly what they were talking about, and most importantly, they actually listened and understood the issue rather than making the process unnecessarily difficult.

The whole process was straightforward, professional and hassle-free, which is exactly what you want from a warranty company when you already have a problem with your vehicle.

It’s refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely seems to understand both the customer and the garage’s perspective. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with throughout.

Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend AutoGuard Warranties and would be very happy to use them again in the future.

This auto auto warranty company is fraud the scam peoples because when you need a Repair or something they will reject your claim to giving you a shit reason that this is not in our warranty cover. They never approve a single service in warranty. If you have any problem with your car never lose your money and spend on this kind of shit companies thank you. You hope you take it serious this advice for this company.

The work needed Was arranged through the garage I bought my car from. never had a car under warranty before so wasn't sure of the process etc but was quick and easy from start to finish

Disappointed. As i had a claim from my new car as the front passenger seat belt had a fault. Despite this being part of MOT it is not covered by warranty. I was left to fix myself.

Had to use my warranty for a new Diff ! The service I got from Autoguard was 100% 👌 paid me out within 2days off me sending my receipt . Also staff were very friendly & helpful thanks

I’ve had a really positive experience with Autoguard. The team were very helpful throughout the whole process and kept me updated when dealing with my warranty claim. They were quick to respond to my questions, explained everything clearly and were willing to work with the repairer to get the issue resolved.

We had only very recently picked up the motorhome and so the warranty was just a week or so old.
Late Friday night, leaving for Spain the following Monday and the engine management light came on.
Turned out to be a NOX sensor (£800 fitted with VAT) which is covered.
Called Autoguard first thing Saturday morning with the details required, the claim was approved and refunded into my bank before we arrived in France on Tuesday morning.
Brilliant friendly and no quibble service. For the first time ever I am highly likely to renew the cover when the dealer supplied cover expires.
