Great shop

Fantastic service
I brought a RC crawler from them, it arrived very quickly and was well packed. Unfortunately and no fault of RC model shop the battery supplied was dead and wouldn’t charge, I contacted RC model shop through WhatsApp, my query was answered very quickly and after sending a video showing the problem a replacement was sent to me which unbelievably arrived the very next day. Can’t praise them enough and a definite 5star, I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be using again. Well done RC model shop I am a very happy customer

Poor customer service.
Poor customer service.
Faulty battery in RC plane started smoking when charging. Received a fairly quick reply to my email but their requests for evidence were way over the top. This company asked for photos of everything, a video of everything, including me touching a bloody multimeter to the battery! Genuinely thought they were having a right good laugh at me with that request.
Dont worry guys I just bought a spare charger and battery from another company and everything is all good now.

Placed an order for a Lipo battery…
Placed an order for a Lipo battery today to collect, drove down and picked it up. The selection of products in stock is crazy. Will be going back for some more stuff. Its good job that I can only go there on the weekend otherwise i would have no money left. If you haven't been there yet, seriously take the time and go. You will be amazed with the selection. Great customer service too

Bad after sales
had a very frustrating experience with RC Model Shop regarding a successful warranty claim. When the item needed to be returned due to a fault, they initially refused to provide a prepaid shipping label and stated in emails that they would not refund return shipping costs. Because of this refusal, I told them I would go ahead and post the item back at my own cost to get the issue resolved. Confusingly, later that same day, after I returned home they had sent a prepaid label—after I had already told them I’m sending it and paid for my own shipping. Now, they are completely refusing to reimburse me quoting they sent it and can’t get a refund on their label from evri. We don’t have all day to wait for them to change their minds so got on and sent it. out-of-pocket shipping cost I incurred because of their initial refusal to supply the label when requested. Under UK consumer rights, retailers are expected to cover reasonable return costs for faulty items/warranty claims. Refusing to cover the shipping cost caused by their own delayed communication is unacceptable. I would advise others to not use this company as after care is non existent be very careful when dealing with their returns and warranty process.
Replying to RC Model Shop
At the time I asked for a pre paid label you did not agree to send one, you advised me to pay my own postage and then ask for a refund, which is exactly what I did, only later in the day did I see you had changed your mind after I left my house and confirmed to you I was posting it myself. The actual warranty issue for the motor and esc was being dealt with well until the postage label, as I went to Logic RC directly but Logic told me I would need to come to you for the return label as you are the retailer. You have never replied to my emails sent regarding my first warranty claim back in April, and I had to find out from horizon who dealt with warranties in the UK, so no after sales has been given. Also NOTE Logic RC asked for the motor and esc to be sent, not once did they ask me for the car or any pictures, we complied with everything they asked for. Logic rc report also says it was replaced on warranty not a gesture of good will.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re sorry you were unhappy with how the return was handled, but we feel some important context is missing from this review.
A prepaid return label was arranged and provided by us for the return of the motor and ESC for inspection. Before that process had been completed, you independently arranged and paid for an alternative postage service. As we had already arranged and paid for a prepaid return service, we are unable to reimburse the cost of an additional service arranged independently.
It is also important to clarify the wider circumstances of the warranty claim. The vehicle itself was not returned to us for inspection; only the motor and ESC were returned. The photographs provided to us showed significant signs of use and damage to the vehicle which were not consistent with a straightforward manufacturing fault.
Despite this, following inspection of the returned components, we agreed to cover the damaged motor as a gesture of goodwill. We therefore feel that describing our aftercare as “non existent” does not fairly reflect the assistance provided. We arranged a prepaid return, inspected the components and provided goodwill assistance with the damaged motor.
We completely understand that you were frustrated by the timing of the return-label communication, and we will take that feedback on board. However, we also feel it is important that anyone reading this review has the full context surrounding the warranty claim and the assistance that was provided.

Fantastic friendly company! I ordered a beginners RC plane for my sons birthday then realised after checkout I accidentally chose the wrong delivery service, I used their WhatsApp contact method for help which was great and also confirmed all ok over the phone 10/10 for customer service and big thank you to Alex for the help. What a great business! Seriously cannot fault these guys! Extremely fast and efficient delivery service. Great communication and very helpful.
Had an issue with a part I ordered (my stupidity for ordering the wrong part!) And they solved the issue with no quibbles fast and effectively.
Highly recommended considering the service you get and the very competitive prices along side it.

What and fantastic company every order has been next day delivery and on time last item I bought unfortunately was faulty Craig at appliance electrical moved heaven and earth to get this resolved like nothing was to much he kept me in the loop of everything that was going on step by step and was always ready to deal with any questions I may of had thank you again highly recommend

I brought the wrong motor and esc…
I brought the wrong motor and esc combo.my fault but I didn't realise until I had taken the cellophane of the box and opened up the motor box to see it didn't have the sensored wire. I realised then I had got the wrong combination and let the company know immediately. They did reply but initial said because I opened it and tried to install their would be a minimum of 20 percent restocking fee and of course postage. This overall would add up to over 60 pound. Now the box is brand new. And the motor never got installed. Only cellophane. Whilst I appreciate in their small print about a stock fee, I think this is alot and the product is still brand new. I'm glad all shops aren't like this. Imagine if we had to pay every time we unpacked a piece of clothing ,and yet this is a mechanical and electrical product. I won't use the company again as I don't feel the customer aftercare is good. Just so people are aware. Read the smallprint

As you mentioned, the incorrect motor and ESC combination was ordered by mistake, and you let us know as soon as you realised. Unfortunately, by that point the manufacturer's sealed packaging had been opened and the installation had been attempted. Once a product has been opened, we can no longer sell it as brand new, which is why our returns policy explains that a reduction in the refund may apply.
We completely understand that this wasn't the outcome you were hoping for, and we appreciate that it's frustrating. Our aim is simply to be fair to everyone, both the customer returning the item and the next customer purchasing it.
We do genuinely care about our customers and always try to help where we can, so we're sorry we couldn't provide the resolution you were looking for on this occasion.

I just took delivery of a fridge-freezer from Appliance Electronics. The item arrived in good state and in good time. I feel moved to give a shout-out to their delivery driver Val, who was just the nicest guy. So warm and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for him. Appaling aftersales
Appaling aftersales. After selling me a £200 aircraft with a faulty receiver (which destroyed the aircraft after it reversed contols mid flight) I called them. Phone answered by a morose individual who stated 'what do you want me to do about it?' After asking for a return they stated they would require video of the crash and disfunction before beginning any warranty process. As I do not have this, nor the box, the money is lost. I am told by my club to avoid this store for rc products and suggest you do the same.

This is a standard requirement that helps us establish what happened and allows us to submit the claim to the manufacturer where necessary.
