Scammed by Wheego Krakow
After being deceived (scammed) by the company, the comments caught my attention. Many others have been deceived in the same way. I was extorted 1.100€ (4800 zloty). And for a superficial 1 cm scratch.
The counter worked as follows; the vehicle was delivered dirty and with only 3,000km on the clock, without a detailed inspection. On our return, they forced us to take a deduction of €1,100 for this scratch. If this money is not returned to me, I will follow it in every field.
Even if this company gives you a free car, please do not rent one. Remember that you have been trapped in a cycle of fraud. The company's main business is not to make money from the cars they rent to people. It is to defraud them with false penalties.

Avoid unless you like being scammed! Really wish I had checked reviews here first but assumed from a physical airport presence and review score of 8.1 on the booking site that they were a reputable company.
Hired a car from Wheego at Gdansk airport in Poland for a week and feel like I have been scammed. I have hired cars dozens of times before, all across Europe, and never had this issue before.
On collection 11pm at night, I was asked to sign a lot of documents without explanation what they were for, and no explanation that there would be an email with existing damage attached on the 2nd page of the contract. Collected car in pitch dark, covered in dents, paint off rear bumper and minor scratches all over it. I took a video to evidence all of the existing damage I could see.
Over a week later, I return the vehicle to be told I will be charged for a small cluster of 4 pinprick stone chips on the windscreen which are barely visible to the naked eye, I couldnt see it until approx 200mm away from windscreen.
Annoyingly there was an existing damage-chip record for the windscreen identified at approximately the middle of the windscreen area where this "new" damage has been identified, but I am told no, this is referring to the other tiny chip slightly further up the windscreen, also barely visible
So I am charged 4800PLN / £947.21 for damage which was possibly already there, and even if it was new, is this a reasonable amount to charge for a repair which the company will not be carrying out as evidenced by the multitude of existing damage.
This made me wonder if this is a scam which they repeat regularly, would make for a very good weekly income for them!
