Excellent communication all throughout the experience

Been using SCG since we started our company 10 years ago (previously datakom) We always find them very helpful and efficient. If there is ever an issue with any handsets or the service, they always get things sorted quickly. We would recommend.

We recently moved from BT to SCG Wales and, to be honest, anything was going to feel like an upgrade from BT. That said, our experience with SCG so far has been mixed.

On the positive side, Ashley was great in helping us get set up, and the customer service team have been responsive and quick when we’ve reported issues with our phones.

However, in the short time we’ve been with SCG, we’ve already lost a full day of internet due to faulty equipment. The fault wasn’t considered urgent, so it wasn't resolved straight away and caused us a lot of problems. The attending engineer explained that the FTTP socket should have been installed in the comms room from the start, which was something we were told wasn’t possible and also highlighted that they had used old, dated equipment from the previous tenant, which caused the outage in the first place.

As it stands, some of that old equipment is still being used, and we are seriously concerned we’ll face the same issue again during our busiest period. We haven’t been offered any proactive solutions or reassurances about what would happen if it does.

Overall, while there are positives in terms of service and support, the ongoing concerns around reliability and future-proofing remain a serious worry.

The organisation I work for has been with them for over 20 years for our phone systems. They've always been helpful and have provided excellent support over that time. We have looked at switching providers in the past, but they've always been competitive on price as well, and we've been happy to stay with them. Thank you for all you've done for us over the years!

We’ve recently been working with Thomas from SCG Wales and I have to say the support has been excellent. Thomas took the time to fully understand our needs and suggested practical solutions to improve how our phone system handles calls. He explained everything clearly, kept us updated throughout, and made sure the setup would genuinely help us manage our increasing call volume.

We've been with SCG Wales / Datakom since around late-2010s. Our account manager, Ashley, has always been very helpful and efficient in meeting our charity's telecom needs. Having a consistent relationship with our account manager has been great through the different changes we've had (staff / premises). Overall, we've had a good experience, and highly recommend this business.

From the very first telephone call with Ashley to having communication with Lauren and then meeting Tim has been so refreshing, professional, polite and a great experience so far. The responses from Lauren have been prompt and friendly and the whole experience with Tim installing and setting up our new phones and training was painless, quick and was very helpful with any questions. Tim had a very friendly approach. Cannot fault the team at all and we look forward to working with SCG going forward.
