I am a retired military FFL dealer. I was wanting to order a few scopes either with my FFL license or my military I.Ds. After speaking with Thomas Foulkrod he left an extremely bad feeling of the entire company by telling me that I am attempting to abuse the military discount when I have served my country. I have been medically retired due to a auto immune disease I received while serving that lists me as service connected. I was told by this man I was abusing the military discount program when I attempted to order a scope through him. I will not be ordering anything from this company!!

Scam, bad service, doesn't work and you can't get a refund or even contact them. Dont waste your money.

I downloaded and installed this on an Alienware Aurora machine that is about 5 years old. I have a full T on Google fiber. The lag makes any game unplayable.

bad game quality, lags

Crap company and crap practices. I literally only had a subscription for half a day. I use GeForce Now but Rockstar removed GTA V/Online so I signed up for Vortex because GTA V/Online was available. I started with 50 hours of play time, played for literally less than two hours and some change and quickly realized it wasn't for me. I was truly disappointed in the desktop app, the way games played and seemed choppy for me, as well as the overall functionality of the Vortex system from launching games to just general app and account functions.

I wasn't upset yet though as I figured... "Okay I gave it a shot, let me go ahead and cancel this subscription and request a refund after trying it for only an hour and a half or so." ...so I cancel my sub and send in my request with 48h 28m 22s out of 50 minutes of play time left, and am emailed a reply that really made me angry. Here is what Vortex support said....

In my opinion expecting someone to decide whether or not they are satisfied with the service in 15 minutes is ridiculous.

I subscribed to this streaming service and have used it for a little over 2 weeks now.
I played a few games including GTA v online and also a couple of other games,I have a fast internet connection and my mate 20 pro is more than powerful enough to run the app in question. The service does show some promise but in order for it to be truly enjoyed there would have to be some vast improvements made,I found the lag to be a little annoying as I could tell there was a slight delay between me using my Xbox controller and having the input register on the game,I also found there was a good say three quarters of a second to maybe a second delay on the sound especially whilst playing GTA .

Also I found that some games just would not start at all no matter what I tried.

For me I wouldn't say the service is complete crap but I would definitely say that in its current state I could not justify paying the 8-9 pound subscription and I have had to cancel.

Also you would think there would be a few more top games available to play for free considering the subscription you pay but the games are very limited.

Anyways I hope the service does improve in the future because if not I can't see it surviving especially when you have other competitors out there with a vastly superior service supplied.

Take your money for a service that doesnt work. Then refuse to refund. Avoid it's just a scam company

I did not manage to link my twitch account after a long time. Then I wrote to the support. He only recommended me to use the Android version instead of the Windows version, because this version allows an immediate Steam-login. Now I want to contact the support again, but the website is down.

Really bad execution. No options and hard to connect controller or keyboard. Bad selection of games and poor customer service.

It is really bad it didnt even work i was waitnig literally for an hour so its were leage of leagnds loads and the quality was lite 240 p and i have a very low salary i really wish to get a refund

If possible I want to give a 0 star. I didn't expect too much from here cuz I knew cloud gaming is still a starting-up technology, but I thought at least it might work and could be running. The fact is that I was totally wrong.

Firstly, they guaranteed a small bunch of game could be free-to-play with their membership, WHILE IT IS NOT EVEN WORKING. For instance, Sims 4 is a game that included in the membership and do not require the user to purchase the game on their own. I clicked in the game, then it required me to log in my Origin account to validate the product. Things happened to other games too, including Minecraft, CSGO, etc. Another weird thing is that there's an option to bind your Steam account to your Vortex account, while I cannot even see any use of that for you still have to log in the Steam account manually every time you enter a game.

Another weird thing happened to me is that the games require update sometime. When I clicked in the CSGO and logged in my Steam account, it ridiculously required an update which takes at least 8 mins to complete. And seems that the update is required every time you log in that game until an operator updates it on the server.

Also, the connection quality was totally a catastrophe. When I'm at the logging-in session the lag was an absolute nightmare, for I cannot even type my password correctly because of the lag. Some types are weirdly left out and sometimes it seems that the virtual machines occur fatal errors which stop you from normally logging in.

I was thinking maybe this one could be really slow or with a terrible lag but it might at least work. However, this is even much worse than my worst estimation before I made the purchase. Ironically even the support session on their website also seems not always working.

If I were you, I'd rather burn a 10 bucks banknote rather than paying this company for the terrible experience and a worthless membership, which is factually a scam for it doesn't even work 1% as the company describes.

I want a refund. Got a subscription. Spent the first day and a half getting it to link to my steam account, finally did and it says "TODO: write error message" you're telling your dont even have the time to write an error message or code!!! Wow. Horrible. Will contact Google for a refund tomorrow morning.

Resolution is absolutely terrible, and this is a waste of £9.99. Capped at 720? Have fun, Vortex, being s**t on by Shadow, GeForce Now and the rest of the BETTER streaming services out there, ya muppets.

downloaded it for my imac 2013 in the hope of having 1440p. the app is super simple, slow and buggy. u get queued since they don't have enough servers and the resolution is not even 1080p. worthless.

Really really bad.
I choose this because I was attracted by the price but don't do the same mistake. The experience is horrible and I was playing with wired optical fiber. There is a lot of spike of ping. Second problem the resolution is limited to 720p. And If u put the bitrates to the max you will get a really laggy experience like 2 second delay. As expected no refund because I reach the 15min trying to configure the game. Note: you have to log into your steam account each time and download the game. all of this time is took from your balance.

i waste 9,99$ dont do the same mistake. i tried in the best condition possible and it didnt even work(the ping test showed excellent blabla lie) it wont work for you.

I have had an average experience with vortex but there is some good and bad ones.

Their customer support is probably bunch of arogant youngsters. Their manners are terrible. Customer is always right, but not in this company apparently. I was refused refund because I have spent 15 minutes of gameplay. But those 15 minutes of gameplay was wasted because of black screen while loading game and setting up steam itself. No trial at all. Sorry Vortex but you shoud really shut down your company if you deal with customers like this. Those Virtual machines with rented gpus are not going to earn you big money, especially with your attitude toward customers.
