Save your money and your time.

I placed an order December 10th and 40 days later I still haven’t heard anything. I finally emailed them yesterday and I received a generic response saying the product I ordered is out of stock. I checked on the website and it doesn’t say out of stock anywhere. All they did was offer to refund my order and asked if I still wanted them to proc was it when it’s back in stock mis February. No compensation about late shipment or lack of communication at all.

Their customer service is absurd. There is no email and no phone number to contact on their website. I had to search through their social media to find a customer service phone number. When I called, they told me to email customer service a totally different email address than what is on their Facebook page. Very sketchy. I’ve read multiple reviews claiming this company is a scam and I’m starting to believe the same.

Needless to say I will never be purchasing from vanity planet again.

allergic reaction

I had no issue in ordering or delivery. However, I do have sensitive skin and used the products correlated to such, and still had an allergic reaction. After two uses of the battery operated sensitive skin brush and face cleanser, paired with the night time cream, my chin and the area around my nose have broken out in small pus-filled bumps.

If you have sensitive skin I would reconsidered using the products.

Great Products! Great Service!

I’ve read these reviews here and I’m genuinely shocked. I’ve ordered from Vanity Planet twice now and I received my orders in about a week and a half. Excellent products. No complaints from me. I would definitely say to order your products through them directly. Some people order through third party websites and that can create issues. Great products, great service!

Vanity Planet customer service is trash!…

I ordered a product from Vanity Planet and it arrived defective. I emailed them immediately and let them know that I am going to need a replacement. They told me to take a picture of the item before they'd approve of a return. I did, and then they sent me an email stating that since I opened the box, I could no longer return the item. How was I supposed to know if it was defective if I don't try it out!?!?! What is going on w customer service within this company!?!?!

Terrible Return Policy!!!

Their return policy is absolutely terrible and they need to change it, if anyone is not entirely positive about buying any of the products: DO NOT DO IT!!! If you even open the packaging to look at it (even if you don’t use it!) you are no longer eligible for a return. I ordered a face brush because I thought my current one had broken. The day after I placed my order, the brush I already had started working again. I decided I would just return the brush as soon as it was delivered. I opened the shipping box but thankfully didn’t even look at the packaging boxes because if I had I would not be eligible for a return. Additionally, I have to pay my own return shipping. On the page of my order on their website, they say that I have up to 45 days to return, but on their official return policy site it says you only have 30 days. This is either evidence of a huge information gap between departments or an attempt knowingly mislead their customers. Either way, it is absolutely ridiculous.

I posted earlier regarding ordering a product as a gift and finding out only when I couldn't track the order that it was "out of stock". So I cancelled and had to find another gift. I am STILL waiting on my refund. It took them from Dec 18 to Jan 3 to decide to refund my money (huh?), but now I am notified that although they have "refunded " it, it will take another 7-10 days to receive. So, that leaves them with MY MONEY for OVER A MONTH that I ordered in good faith, with the item listed as in stock, that I never received, and I cancelled before it was even shipped out because it was OUT oF STOCK. HOW is this OK??? Will NEVER do business with them again.

This is disappointing

This is disappointing! Not only do they hide behind an email with no customer service, they obviously are running a business that does not care about its customers. This was a xmas gift that was purchased after they paid a celebrity endorsed the product. They paid a celebrity to advertise for them and say it would be a great holiday gift and if you count the days that ad was made on an insta acct that would put the customer passed a 30 days if purchased as a gift for the holidays. I DIDN"T USE THE PRODUCT. THE SHIPPING BOX WAS OPENED, THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE INSIDE THE PRODUCTS BOX, HOW ELSE DOES ONE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IF ONE CANNOT OPEN THE BOX? Their paid advertiser does not mention the safety concerns in her ad for anyone with rosacea. If they're a legit company helping it's customers with skincare then this is the easiest of all returns. I DIDN"T USE IT, I HAVE ALL ORIGINAL BOXES, AND ITS JUST DAYS PASSED YOUR FINE PRINT of 30days THAT WAS NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE. Does it make it any better that I was taking care of a sick relative and I let a few days go by after I received the gift to ask for the return, probably not! They deserve a honest horrible review. I have a product unused, in it's original shipping box and I didn't even take it out of the product box. How else do you read the instructions if the instruction paperwork is inside the box? AND IT WAS A GIFT FOR THE HOLIDAYS, SOUNDS LIKE FRAUD TO ME TO RUN AN AD THAT WOULD EXCEED 30 DAYS WHEN ADVERTISED TO PURCHASE FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

If you are an international customer do not order from this company. They do not accept any international returns. Most ludicrous return policy I have ever seen with a company.

Despite Vanity Planet's post about wanting to resolve the matter, when contacting their escalation department they once again told me they would not accept my return.

Do not order from this company. They took my order and money ($69.00) by way of PayPal 7 months ago and after numerous request for the paid for product I have nothing. I've seen their product in stores just not here in my home. I GUESS THEY ARE THEIFS.

ZERO Stars! WORST Customer Service!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Literally the WORST customer experience I’ve ever experienced.

I tried to return something that has been UNUSED & UNOPENED & they REFUSED to refund me even tho that’s what they say they do. I provided picture proof of the item in its box & sealed and they told me the only thing they can do is provide me a tiny % of what I paid for in store credit.

Why state that you offer returns on unopened items if you aren’t going to follow your own rules.

Unbelievable to think that a company would rather try to keep a few bucks and ruin their relationship and trust with a customer rather than trying to solve their problem and have a loyal customer for life that will potentially spend hundreds more.

Most companies allow you to try a product and provide a 100% satisfaction guaranteed otherwise a 100% refund. Especially in the Beauty industry!!

So the fact that this company doesn’t allow that speaks VOLUMES! & Proves that they know their products are terrible and that they have no confidence that others will enjoy their products either. That’s why they lie & steal money from other people because that’s the best they can do.

I will forever NOT recommend this company to everyone I know. Awful.

Bad Shipping & Customer Service

I please an order on Nov. 27, 2020 and today is Dec. 21st and I yet to have received my order. I emailed asking them to cancel my order a few weeks ago but was told because it had already been processed however not shipped yet they could not do that. It is funny, I order the exact same item on Amazon because I was afraid this item I purchased directly from Vanity Planet would not arrive in time for Christmas and I had that one from Amazon delivered to my door in 2 days. I try to buy directly from companies when I can however this time I made a big mistake as I have yet to receive the item I purchased. If you are going to purchase a Vanity Planet product I would consider checking out Amazon to see if they sell the same product, I'm sure you will get it much quicker as I did doing it that way. Lesson learned.

I like the brush but got three of them from Vanity Planet website for my sisters (ea for 60$ and that was a "sale") and then the other day I was in CVS and find the same vanity planet brush for 29.99$... how can they do that??

Not impressed

My package took forever to get to me, then when it did, I opened up the package and decided I wanted to return my item and was declined because I had broken the sticker of the packaging. Super scammy. I also tried talking to representatives but was always directed to email, which is fine, but whoever I was speaking to over email was not very helpful either.

FRAUD/SCAMMERS DO NOT BUY FROM VP

Omg I wish I had read these reviews 1st. I got sucked in the instagrammers showing this product and I like the idea for my acne-prone skin. During checkout I accidentally chose the wrong color and emailed them if I could switch they said no. It was out of their hands. Even though it hasn't been mailed out yet. Customer service was bogus. They only answer if you follow up even though they say they will get back to you. I ended up agreeing to an exchange and they gave me a free postage which was great but then they say they have to review my case after they have the product back. They said almost 2 weeks later after I email them because they never got back to me yet again to see what was happening and bam I get the we can offer you $20 store credit or 40% off a future order because my item didn't pass their returns guidelines. Meaning as they said it was either opened, used or tampered with. I'm infuriated because they let me know ahead of time the item should not be used and I DID NOT USE IT. Duh. I wanted an exchange so I taped it up secured the postage and mailed it back completely unused and they feed me this garbage. They are scammers. The item did NOT leave its box. I called my CC company to report fraud. I really hope I get my money back. I will never purchase from this company and recommend you don't waste your hard earned money here either.

Never arrived

I place my order 2 weeks ago still not on the way. When i asked them they said coz of the virus that’s how they work i understand but is no way if you order christmar present on november and you don’t recieved before christmas. I wouldn’t recomment them

I had to return an item that was unused and unopened. After tracking down the item with UPS, I discovered they were in possession of the item for over a month unaccounted for and would not offer a refund only a store credit because it was tampered with while in their possession!

I wish I would have read these reviews before ordering. I ordered 2 weeks ago and still no shipping or tracking info. Now reading this site it appears others are waiting MONTHS for the products to show up, if they do at all. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and my state attorney general.
