I've been investing in UTB bonds for around 10 years and I've found them to be one of the better banks. Their website is easy to navigate and use. They answer the phone calls promptly and are always polite and helpful. Information (like tax certificates) is provided in good time.

Terrible organisation
I paid my account with my redundancy and UTB were very obstructive. Asked for proof where the money came from..suppled and wasn't enough, proof it entered the account - also supplied and not acceptable. Sent statements and they denied receipt despite using their email and the app portal. Just got off the phone for the 4th time of them complaining to me and I hope at last they acknowledge I have paid. I've had a letter saying I've paid but they are refusing to close the account. Avoid this company. I'm a retired teacher not a money launderer

I am very sorry, I will not be taking up the offer to open an ISA personal account, as the person I spoke to, although very helpful, could not deal with my request until I sent through a copy of my Nat West Bank Account. This I am not prepared to do.

Rate display issues.
I had difficulty selecting the Bond rates on my first attempt on reinvestment as the rates were displayed as symbols.
I was unable to download terms and conditions and only proceeded by checking the box to confirm I had done so.
Otherwise it was quite a straightforward process.
