I was having problems accessing a service. I emailed my Relationship Support Manager Olivia who replied promptly and the issue was resolved.
Having an actual person I can call or email is invaluable, saves time and is obviously more personal than automated tools.

Good so far
Saw a good savings rate on MoneySupermarket.com and applied online. Application was not approved immediately (as with some banks), next day or two days later I received an email mid-Friday-morning. I couldn't register for online banking until I was sent various emails. As I was working I only got to complete the whole joining process by late afternoon.
I finally managed to transfer in my initial deposit by 6:30pm. Getting my savings out of Sidekick took until Monday morning. By 4pm I had received a UTB SMS acknowledging receipt and again an email acknowledgment at 20:24.
GOOD: sms and emails to notify/acknowledge deposits. Emails include a link requiring entry of security info to view UTB letter.
Meh: Joining process more convoluted than with other banks. Chrome will remember the email link security digits.
Unknown at this stage: How easy it will be to operate the account, but at least it is web based and not limited by what can be shown on a 4 1/2" mobile screen via some APP.

Consistently excellent
Our experience with United Trust Bank has been consistently excellent. They offer extremely competitive interest rates, are very responsive, and able to construct products flexibly to meet specific business needs. Customer service from Olivia Marsh has been superb, who always responds quickly and does everything in her power to help. We wish they did regular business banking as well, as we would use them for that if we could!

Difficult registration web page
Banking registration web page is just too fragile and difficult. It halts for no apparent reason and is over sensitive to corrections. On separate occasions, for personal and business account applications, it froze and I had to start the process all over again.

Fixed term bonds
I have dealt with UT for over 2 years and dealt directly with Olivia who i must say has been a great help advising me on bond rates over that time.
When calling by phone the team are also most helpful and the wait time is really short.

Contact last week
I wanted to add another deposit to 2 existing deposits. I did this through our web account and I was advised that I would receive an email giving guidance as to how to proceed.
Nothing received.
I phoned the next morning not having received anything and sorted out the issue of details required over the phone.
The missing email was received several hours later.
Account was opened.
