I rarely write reviews like this, but my experience with Scan.com has been beyond frustrating and deserves to be shared.
I had an MRI scan with them over two weeks ago. Their own stated turnaround time is a maximum of 7 days to receive your scan images. It’s now been double that, and I still have nothing.
Three days after the scan, I was proactively contacted and promised the files would be sent shortly. They weren’t. Since then, I’ve spent over a week chasing them, being given the same empty assurances on multiple occasions that “you’ll receive them soon.” Each time, nothing arrives.
To make matters worse:
Their phones go unanswered or lead nowhere
Emails bounce back or are ignored
When you do manage to speak to someone, they deflect rather than resolve the issue
This isn’t just poor service, it’s completely unacceptable when you’re dealing with something as important as medical information.
If you’re considering using Scan.com, I strongly urge you to think twice. Based on my experience, once they’ve taken your money, getting any meaningful support or follow-through is an uphill battle.

Extremely fast and efficient service. Procedure from booking scan to getting report and images well explained and easy to follow . Very helpful staff on the end of a phone or via email . I have used scan.com twice now and both times the experience has been excellent.

Very very poor overall service. I had a pre call for my MRI and within a week I had an appointment for the MRI. At the location the staff were very helpful. I had the MRI on Friday and by the Monday I had a phone call to discuss my MRI and results. This phone call which cost an additional £50 last less than one minute. Then the best bit, the report. Talk about absolutely shocking. It was one liners. I have previously had an MRI 2 years ago using Vista Health and their level of report was amazing. Fully detailed and explained. I shared this information from my previous MRI on the pre MRI call as the issues I have will not go away on its own. The report from Scan.Com doesn’t even mention my previous known issues. I sent an email to Scan.Com who acknowledged and said they would be back in touch soon. 10 days later I’m still waiting. Stay away from this company and use others

From the very first call of enquiry I made to them, to the staff at Hamptons clinic where I had the scan done and the clinical team that reviewed my report and sent it back to me, they were very amazing. They made me feel very comfortable. Most importantly, big shoutout to my radiographer.

I felt that Simon was abrupt in his consultations, as if it was an annoyance/inconvenience speaking to me.Even though the service was very good in regards to timescales, the X-ray was not detailed and not clear.i would have thought that privately you would get better service but clearly NHS is a better service.

To be honest after some of the reviews I was really worried. But you answered my emails promptly. You picked up the phone when I phoned you. The service was great. So I needn’t of worried. The Taunton Diagnostic Centre team were good. The results came through on the second day.
The price was good and the centre is new.
I’ve used you before and I would recommend you to my friends.

Not a good experience. Certainly don't book online. I booked my MRI with them for about 5 days away, having spent best part of an hour researching online to find best appointment from them and others by day, time of day, distance and cost. I paid my money inc an extra £50 for a consultation on the results. Soon after I got a call from a consultant who ran through my symptoms/reasons for having scan. 2 days later I was phoned by the hospital to "book me in for my MRI" to which I said I'm already booked in. They replied that the booking is not guaranteed and they get a lot of this with Scan.com. In fairness, it does mention this on the website, although what I was offered was so far off the mark compared to what I'd booked that it begs the question why have a booking selection available online at all. I raised my concerns with them and was offered a refund less £50 (later reduced to £25 for goodwill) because I'd already had the pre-consultation. No wonder they were quick to act in that respect. As I didn't want to waste £25, I settled for one of their alternative offers. I happened to email them that I'd booked an appointment with the hospital and so didn't need a refund. At this point, instead of just accepting this, they re-commented on their arguments. I had no choice but to reply with my disagreement even though I'd accepted the situation and drawn a line under it. Next thing I know I've got a full refund in my bank, something that had neither been offered before nor been asked for (as I'd by then booked the appointment). Having said that, I was quite relieved to be done with them and start again.
