Negative experience sadly…

From the moment it was booked the problems began. Lack of proper timely communication. Lack of communication with their admin to clinicians to scanning sites. They couldn’t receive my emails with attachments - eventually said they received but it never got passed onto the radiologist so they couldn’t use it for comparison to a previous scan (which they told me they would do!). Brief report and far less informative than a previous scan which didn’t involve contrast. Information in the report not aligning with previous measurements - quite frankly impossible results. The whole way through I’ve felt not listened to, I’ve felt like a nuisance to them, I’ve been working like as if I work for them! Back n fourth phone calls and texts to the ‘customer service’ trying to explain the issues. It was frustrating, baffling, time-consuming and stressful. I still am awaiting a response regarding a complaint with my report or lack of. Oh and that can take up to 14 working days for a response. Mostly generic responses never actually answering your queries. I’ve asked for a Manager or someone senior many times but no reply regarding those requests.
If you want an actual report and images then book with another company.
They will ask for £150 for a super report, and will only send scan images to a clinician if requested. You cannot see anything. Even though you’ve paid and it’s your body.
You’ve been warned. Not what you expect when paying a lot of money.

Excellent service from start to finish. Friendly but professional staff. Written report received within 2 days and images shortly after. Could not fault it in any way.

Disappointed and frustrated.

Bit disappointed I could not get booking on the day and time as shown on website at time of booking.
Then had to wait a further few days, for a telephone call to confirm a different appointment, having sent an e mail prior to ask if they had any appointments available.
Then the appointment was moved back to later in the day.
So all in all a bit frustrating yo say the least.

Scan was well done professional and little waiting time.

Absolutely fantastic service

Absolutely fantastic service, especially when feeling not too good. So good to talk to clinician pre and after MRIs. All very efficient, from start to finish. Would recommend anyone to use it

If like me you do not get the 5 star…

If like me you do not get the 5 star service enjoyed by others here, be aware you are on your own as follows:
Their website requires you to book a time and date, then make a payment.
This is the first deceit, the time and date are not of your choosing, rather an unconfirmed request.
When you make the payment you will see a Booking Complete confirmation with a note that says:
"Any questions? We're only a phone call away. Our friendly experts are here to help 9am-5.50pm, Monday-Friday. Our number is 01277 568659"
This is a lie.
There are no 'friendly experts', it's an outsourced call centre who tell you "I'll send them a message marked urgent".
In my case on the requested day of the scan I received a email stating with best wishes "Please do not attend your requested appointment ... someone will call you.
This is a lie, no one will call.
And the reason for this I find, not from Scan.com, but the reception at the place you booked, is your requested MRI scan has never been arranged.
I will say that a day or two after they have your money a bloke does call, but on a number you can't call back. But that's because they have to have a recognised qualified profession e.g. osteopath, to be able to issue a referral to the scanning clinic of your choice. Who this guy was and what his qualifications are, I have no idea, but he did suggest the pain experienced may come from a different part of the body than the one it was being felt in, just by asking you on the phone to stand up straight and then bend over and tell him it didn't change anything.

So the only real means you have to contact them directly is by email ... and good luck with that. They have your money and you have nothing. So move fast and contact your bank.
Back where I come from we call this a 5 star scam, but like shoplifting, nothing will be done about it, you're on your own and up the creek.

Wow amazing service

Wow amazing service . The whole experience was top notch.
After completing request on line I had a call from the clinician then the scanning site within 2 days . The scan was 3 days later . Within 36 hours I had my report and a call back from the clinician . The report with the interactive information buttons was excellent. And cost was so much lower than the local private hospital
Definitely recommended and will use again if needed

impossible to get through to them on…

impossible to get through to them on the phone - even though they ask me to contact them. really poor. had the mri last week and still waiting for a clinician to call me back - even though i paid extra for a consultation.

You should have already received your report for your review on 2nd April when this was released. Avoid - part 2

This review is further to my previous review. I have requested a full refund, since my consultant, who works at a London teaching hospital, said the scan and images were no use. He said "The report is not worded in a standard way that I would normally recognise.'
My consultant has tried to look at the images, but he is getting blank pages and even when he can see them, he says a couple of stills are inadequate for my condition. He needs moving pictures.

All this has delayed my diagnosis for a potentially serious condition, cost me a lot of money and caused a huge amount of distress and inconvenience.

I will now have to pay for a new MRI with a different provider.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company.

They will take your money and are uncontactable via live chat or phone.

They are just a front company (they do not do scan themselves)

They advertise dates and times that are simply not available.

You may wait weeks for the actual appointment.

Go direct to an actual MRI scanning clinic.

Avoid

Avoid. I sent my scan report from this company to my consultant this morning, but he said he needed the images because the report did not follow the standard format for explaining my condition and used a scale he had never heard of before. I still don't have the images and it would appear it will be another 7 days until they are sent, despite the report suggesting a serious condition. The company aren't answering calls or replying to emails, despite it being a week day. I will now have to get another scan, so I have a report and images that can be used for my treatment. A waste of money and time which is unacceptable given they are dealing with people's health.

Easy cost effective process…

I thought the process was easy and the prices were competitive, with lots of locations and time slots available.
I do however have an issue with the call back process. You have to wait for them to call you and are given no parameters on time, I missed quite a few calls and they didnt try always try again that day and some were at 6pm!
