KLM was held responsible

After KLM completely destroyed my family vacation to Asia, Travel Refund arranged compensation of EUR 1300. The 7 month delay is further proof that faceless companies like KLM care nothing about doing the right thing. My communication with Travel Refund has been completely painless and precise. Never hesitate to make airline companies compensate you for any inconvenience at all. Travel Refund worked very well for me. I hope I don't need you again but if I do, I'll be in touch.

I would say that I really appreciate it!! Because the airline has already told me the refund is not accepted so actually I didn't expect that I can get the money. But you know what, Travelrefund emailed me 6 MONTHS LATER and told me that I got the money. THANKS very much for their persistence.

Don’t waste your time

I have zero faith in the company. No follow ups, nothing. I constantly have to chase them with an update and they always proceed to lie saying “airlines agreed to pay” it’s been nearly 4 months and I’ve heard nothing. Don’t trust this place at all.

The claim was sent to the airline on the 15th of october and on the 07.11 we have received an aknowledgement, which is no longer than a month and actually a quite swift handeling from the airline. So stating it has been 4 months is not correct and never even possible, since we only have the 07th of january today. Also your impatience and unsatisfaction should be aimed against the airline, since we do all to assure your rights as fast as possible.

Firstly, we understand that waiting can be frustrating, but claims against airlines often involve a lengthy and highly procedural process. Airlines are not obligated to resolve claims quickly, and they are known to use the full amount of time legally available to them—often four weeks per communication stage—to respond to claims and settle payments. This is why delays of several months, or even years in some cases, are unfortunately common.

However, please rest assured that we never give up on a valid claim, no matter how long it takes. As you may have noticed, many passengers in similar situations have waited much longer but eventually received their compensation because we stayed persistent and worked tirelessly to advocate for their rights.

Additionally, we’d like to emphasize that we only take our fee once we have successfully recovered your compensation. In other words, we work for free until the airline pays out, which aligns our interests with yours. We are absolutely on your side, and it is in both our interests to see a successful resolution as soon as possible.

If we’ve communicated that the airline has agreed to pay, it means we have received confirmation from the airline. However, even after agreeing to pay, airlines often take additional time to process payments, which is unfortunately outside our control. Rest assured, we do not provide misleading updates; we aim to keep you informed as accurately as possible based on the information we have at each stage.

We encourage you to continue reaching out to us if you have questions, as we are always happy to provide updates and explain where your case stands in the process. Your patience and understanding in this matter mean a lot to us, and we truly value your trust in choosing us to handle your claim. NO HELP, yet asking for money

You seek a help because of delayed flights, and the only result is that they will not help you to reach any compensation, they will actually ask you for money for their "job". This is so sad and sketchy, wanted to get some mney back from airlines and they will shed you more... Awful inhuman approach.

We would like to clarify that our business model operates on a “no cure, no pay” basis. This means passengers are not charged unless we successfully secure compensation for them. The only exceptions occur if a case cannot be completed due to actions or inactions from the passenger, such as preventing us from proceeding with the case.

If you’ve received an invoice, it is likely due to one of these scenarios:

- Compensation already received or paid directly to you – If the airline has paid compensation directly to you, our service fee would still apply, as we initiated and handled the claim process.
- Case is with another company - Some passenger are not aware that you logically cannot claim the same compensation with several companies.
- Prevention of case handling – If we were unable to proceed with your case due to specific actions or lack of cooperation from your side.

I respectfully disagree with the characterization of our approach as “inhuman.” At Travelrefund, we assist passengers without requiring any upfront payment, even though we take on the risk of not being compensated for our efforts. The only condition we ask is that passengers transfer their rights to us so we can successfully handle their case to completion.

If this straightforward requirement cannot be fulfilled, we may be obligated to issue an invoice for the work we have already completed. Our business model ensures that we are only compensated if we secure compensation from the airline, making our service entirely risk-free for the passenger.

Even in cases that proceed to court, passengers are never responsible for lawyer fees or court costs. We understand it can be frustrating to receive an invoice, but I want to assure you—and all other passengers—that we never issue an invoice unless it falls under the specific situations outlined above.

I firmly believe these terms are fair and transparent, and not in any way unreasonable or unfair.

I got to get my refund

I got to get my refund, but it was very long, and when I got a answer saying that I was going to get the refund in 14 banking days, it took a month and a half for me to get it.

Cancelled flight compensation ✅

Writing this on the 28th november2024.,previously have read some good and bad comments here ,but i must say i am very satisfied with the service.
My questions all answered if not the same day,then next day,due to my timezone and writing late hours,after they recieved the money from the airline,got an e mail it could take up to 14 days to receive it,but i recieved it the next day.
Pleasantly surprised and i highly recommend TRAVELFUND.
Maybe some other people had a different experience because their cases were not as clean and clear as mine was.
I had a cancelled flight due to mechanical reasons.
Was delayed for 8+ hours and was flying more than 3500km away.
My airline was based in Europe so it was a clear case but anyway Travelrefund team was amazing.
This is a genuine comment from someone who was also a bit sceptical,but now i am happy.
And yes , i almost forgot.
My flight was 7th october,money recieved 28th november,really fast.

The worst service I have ever received online

Rarely write a negative review, but this is probably the worst customer service I have experienced online. Even worse than the airline I tried to get compensation from.

The case has been open for 15 months. Duringn that time:

- I have been requested to provide various documents and signatures
- I have been told there was a data breach and my data was potentially compromised
- I was requested to sign an untranslated legal power of attorney for a lawyer tonrepresent me in court in Spain without any explanation of what this implies (and naturally no translation)

After several back and forths and what I can only describe as preoccupying customer service and lack of empathy for the customer, my case was escalated to the COO. Ultimatedly I just received a basic explanation of what a PoA implies (although I had alrady signed one for Travelrefund), without any specific information and many ignored questions. Moreover I was reminded several times that either I sign the document, or they would invoice me all the costs of the process. In the last email they basically gave me an ultimatum and closed with the remark “I hope you understand now”. Seriously…

Yes thats right, the company I was trying to use to get a refund was threatening now to charge me, beyond all the time I had already wasted.

The beautiful irony of contracting a service to help you with the abusive airlines and you end up getting an even worse customer service.

There are many competitors in the market for such services, definitely Travelrefund or any of their related companies will not be my choice in the future. Oh and 15 months later and countless wasted hours, I havent seen a dime.

We understand your frustrations and regret the dissatisfaction caused during the process. To handle your case on your behalf, we are of course required to get some documents from you, like the ticket, rebooked ticket and a PoA, otherwise we cannot represent you. Also we know by experience that the airlines ask for the ticket, why we always get this before hand to strengthen the process and not waste time by sending a claim, knowing the airline wont process it without the ticket.

Unfortunately, some steps, like the Power of Attorney (PoA) requirement in court, are dictated by the court in Spain and not something we can anticipate in advance. While we do our best to streamline the process, legal procedures can occasionally be complex and lengthy.

As stated in our terms, we require full cooperation from our clients to proceed with cases, and the absence of requested documents or signatures can result in case closure with costs. We work hard to fight for compensation on behalf of our clients and hope for mutual understanding in these matters.

We are a company that is here to help all passengers and when you have passengers all around the world, the processes can be different depending on the country where you sue the airline. We have partners all over Europe and when an airline like Condor is not cooperative, we are forced to take the case to court, if we belive the situation entitles you to compensation. You have a case that is worth suing for and it is also stated on our website and in our terms, that we do everything necessary to get your rights aknowledged.
We are here for the passengers whos looking for an experienced partner and a professional partner with legal background and lawyer partners, who can fight for their rights. If a passenger can do it themselves, they are more than welcome to!

Endless Waiting, no timeline

It’s been nearly a year, and I’m still waiting for a final decision with no end in sight. Despite repeatedly emailing to check on the status, all I get back is the vague response that it’s ‘in court’—no timeline, no details, nothing. The complete lack of transparency is incredibly frustrating.

Vi var på ferie sidste år

Vi var på ferie sidste år, hvor flyet blev forsinket mere end 3 timer.
Jeg oprettede en sag ved Flypenge, nemt og hurtigt.
De har løbende holdt mig opdateret med min sag, og nu fik jeg i går en mail med, at jeg modtager erstatning for sagen, som de har kørt ! Super fedt :)
Super god service, og jeg vil klart anbefale Flypenge til andre i samme situation.
