If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've had two cars through them. Really had no problems with my first car, traded it in and got a bigger car for myself. I've missed a couple of payments I am not going to lie. But I've always made it a point to pay double the next month so I was caught up.
There's a bunch of issues I have with TFS.
1) on my statements, it says to make a payment before this date to avoid a late fee. On the app, almost every single month there is an added late fee.
2) I do not understand if they are operating normal business hours why it takes 3-4 business days for them to process my payment when I make a payment on a weekday.
3) On my bank statements since I have owned this car, they have taken out my payment. Yet on the app, they are saying they "refunded the payment." When I ask them what this meant, they couldn't give me a straight answer.
4) Any double payment I have made should be going to the late payments so I am current. They do not give you an option to pay toward late payments or principle. They just put the payment toward the principle, making more money in late fees.
5) The last time I called TFS to talk to someone, this man was so rude and condescending talking to me. Called me "honey" and told me the reason I have late fees was because my bank didn't have the money for the payment. When I told him I can send him copies of my statements where they took the money out, he changed his story to where I made the payment late. I ended up hanging up on him because I was beyond frustrated. Now they're saying my car is up for repo even though both my husband and I have made payments to where that shouldn't happen. Do not finance from them. Go through your bank or anyone else.

El servicio al cliente y el manejo de la situación fueron muy malos; sentí poca empatía y cero soluciones reales. En pocas palabras, me sentí estafada por esta institución. No recomendaría esta experiencia a nadie.

Disgusting service took a payment because the finance was in the middle of getting settled they said 10 days to refund I rang again 10 days they then said it’s not even been raised because I had not rang to confirm they had received funds which is laughable surely u know over 16k has gone into accounts plus I don’t work for u they then said they’ll issue payment 10 more days I said not happy about this then said manager will do this within 3 days it’s now been 3 days not received anything so rang again it’s still not even been raised what an absolute joke do not use this company

Imagine this: It is Tuesday. Midday. A perfectly ordinary working day. And you are trying to resolve a matter regarding a contract.
What follows is an experience one could not possibly invent — because it would simply be too absurd to fabricate.
An "agent" picks up. Sounds promising. It is not. The agent asks questions he cannot answer. He resolves nothing. And when — through surgically precise conversation and deliberately obscured phrasing — one finally reaches the holy grail of being connected to an actual, living human employee, the enlightening information arrives:
"I'm sorry, we are outside of business hours."
It is 12:30 in the afternoon. On a Tuesday.
I repeat: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Between noon and 1 p.m., Toyota Financial Services is simply unreachable. Not even a trainee. Not even a meaningful answering machine. Nothing. Silence. A vacuum. One begins to wonder whether the entire workforce takes lunch simultaneously — perhaps in a temple they have erected in honour of their own website's self-congratulatory prose.
Because on the homepage, one reads words such as "customer focus", "reliability", and "partnership." This is not advertising. This is satire. High-quality, entirely unintentional satire.
A hundred years ago, one would have sent letters by horse-drawn carriage — and the recipient would still have responded faster.
The result of this unparalleled service philosophy? 1.1 stars on Trustpilot. Not 1.5. Not 2. One point one. That is not a rating — that is a cry for help from society at large.
A final note to those responsible, who celebrate themselves on their website like rock stars on a farewell tour: A company's reputation is written by its customers — not by the company itself. And the customers have spoken. Loudly. Clearly. With 1.1 stars.
Perhaps it is time to redirect the energy currently flowing into self-glorification toward a rather more revolutionary idea — such as being reachable between noon and 1 p.m.
Or simply lock the doors and go home. The effect would be precisely the same.

Worst customer service, after pay off, no one seems to know when my Title would be released. Would noy recommend to any one.

also their site often is very slow to respond. I hope I never need to talk with them again and this would preclude me from buying another car from Toyota

Been a Toyota driver for many years and decide to go with Toyota finance and they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE…they have no empathy and will cut you off so they can get you off the phone…I love the cars but the customer service is AWFUL…finance your car through someone else!!

Secondly to get them to send a balance payoff to an insurance company claim is like walking in the desert, it took a month . I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!! Faxed them the authorization for payoff twice. Said they "didn't receive it." Extremely disappointed with this whole process. Honda did not give me any trouble. I will never go through them again.

Please, avoid that fraud service- no local offices- any questions in your dealership redirecting to call to the trash phone service without any help, EVEN they NOT sending respond by EMAIL, mail only in 10 business days- we are in 2026!!!!

La peor atención telefónica jamás recibida llamas para pagar y no te quieren cobrar, amenazas de todo tipo si te retrasas 5 días en el pago de una cuota, todo esto cuando tienes la financiación prácticamente pagada al 90% y no has fallado ni un mes en 5 años, te mandan SMS amenazando con presentarse en tu casa y todo tipo de intimidaciones. Ilegal y vergonzoso, denuncio a la OCU.

I regret getting a loan from them. They have repeatedly said I'm delinquent, despite my overpaying them. My payments post as failed, only to later say paid. The website for them keeps dropping my bank account info. I am unable to get a rep to talk to. I plan to refinance my loan. The Toyota sales person who sold me the car has brushed me off saying there is nothing he can do.

I have a lease payment plan with autopay set up. I've paid on time every month for almost 2 years.
I went online to skip a pay which I thought meant I could skip a month or two then get back on track. I received a confirmation email of my January payment being skipped and would resume in February. Nowhere did it tell me that my January payment would be deemed past due and I would be charged a late fee and I would still owe both January and February payments in February. Despite my confirmation email of the "skipped" payment I kept receiving emails and texts of my past due January payment, that I "skipped."
I called and spoke to customer service. After questioning me about where I might get the money for paying the past due amount - even from friends/family, and do I get money from the government? Etc etc. - basically shaming me for not understanding that skip a pay does not mean what it says, and that I'm wanting to skip a pay temporarily until I have the funds to pay my lease amount.
They could offer me an extension on my lease - i.e. extending my lease agreement for two months but there was a fee of over $200 for this extension. My lease payments are $600 a month so the fee is about 15% of my two months payments! So much for helping a customer out during a time of financial hardship. If I were asking for a six month extension, I could see justifying the $200+ fee but not for two months. Credit cards don't even charge that much interest. That's insane.
Keeping me/the customer in the dark so they can charge me a late fee or an extension fee is outrageous and mind blowing. And fraudulent.
