Ordered battery for a MacBook Pro 17" mid 2009 before reading these reviews unfortunately. Tried to cancel the order 1 day after placing it and asked for a refund. 2 days later they told me the item had already shipped from their overseas depot as they were out of stock in the uk. Item arrived after about 1 week but was the wrong one. Emailed the company about this and now no communication at all. I have opened a resolution case with PayPal who will refund once I ship the item back to China. New shipping regs on batteries makes it too expensive to do it. So these guys are not based in uk as the website suggests. They are in a room in a block of flats in Shenzen, Huangdon Province sending out poor quality incorrect Mac replacement batteries. Don't be fooled by the website. Stay well clear.

Don't be fooled by this website. They're not a UK based company operating out of a warehouse in Portsmouth. This becomes clear once you have checked out and completed the payment. My dodgy looking confirmation email stated that I'd made a payment to Yongjing Wu. Everything about this website will get the alarm bells ringing. However it took 3 days for my Dewalt drill battery to turn up, it was delivered with a tracked delivery by Royal Mail. I clipped it into the drill, it was fully charged and in full working order. It charges perfectly fine and seems to be holding up. I wouldn't leave it charging out of my sight though just in case it burns the workshop down or something. I wouldn't order from this website again, I consider myself lucky to have not been sent a cats head in a box or something like that. But from my experience I can't complain. Pretty dodgy, not legitimate but didn't let me down. Somehow.

Do not use. Sent out a battery that wouldn't even power the laptop for a second, when first plugged in showed 27% charged, still showed the same after 3 hours charging. As soon as the power supply was removed the laptop switched off. Tried in 3 laptops, same result. Then when I asked for a refund they refunded the cost of the battery but not the p&p unless I sent the battery back at my own expense. At that rate they have no incentive to do any quality control because they're not losing out if they send out duff kit. I'm now £3.99 down through no fault of my own apart from the fact that I didn't ask them before I ordered who paid for p&p if they send out rubbish.

No te dejes engañar por el precio: los que venden barato algo que no vale nada sigue siendo unos ladrones, aunque se disfracen de compañía legal.
Esta es mi historia: compro por internet en top-battery-adapter una batería para mi ordenador portátil. Al cabo de unas semanas la recibo en casa. En cuanto la recibo, la cargo al 100%. Cuando se descarga hasta el 99%, aparece el mensaje de que la batería tiene poca carga y el símbolo de advertencia (!!!). Con la carga al 33%, el ordenador entra en hibernación. Una semana después de empezar a usarla, el programa Everest Ultimate (utilidad de análisis de hardware) señala un desgaste del 16% (!!!). He escrito varios mensajes a Alan del Servicio al cliente para comentarle el problema y buscar una solución, y no he tenido ninguna respuesta.
En su sitio web aparece "satisfacción garantizada". Imagino que se refieren a su propia satisfacción cada vez que reciben un pedido de algún incauto comprador de buena fe que, sin saberlo, está tirando su dinero.

I ordered a battery from the website. They sent me faulty battery, which wasn't charging in full. When I asked for repelacement, the asked me to send them 4 pounds for the postage. In the website is stated that the battery has 2 years warranty and I refused to pay the price, because I have received it faulty. since then I haven't received anymore replies to my requests from them.

I would suggest as majority of the people: Avoid at any cost!!!
I have notified the local authorities and I am waiting for the appropriate results from the investigation soon!!!

To sum up: DON'T BUY ANYTHING from them as the products are FAULTY!!!

Despite the fact that their website says their batteries will be delivered in 5 days, it took over 25 days. They come from abroad. After about 2 weeks, I had an email stating that it had been put on a plane!! It is blatant fraud.

Top Battery me demande alors 7,99 € pour me livrer, pârce que, disent-ils, j'aurais ma orthographier mon adresse... mais je 'ai jamais eu trace, même électronique, de quelque colis envoyé. En revanche, mon argent a bien été encaissé !

Ils commencent par refuser de me rembourser jusqu'à ce que je signale le litige à paypal. Ils me disent ensuite qu'ils me rembourseront dès qu'ils auront reçu le colis (imaginaire ?).

Je leur laisse jusqu'à demain avant de porter réclamation auprès de paypal (quelle bonne idée j'ai eu de payer avec pp).

Je ne sais s'ils sont malhonnêtes ou seulement pas sérieux mais je décommande vivement,

The Macbook pro battery arrived but was faulty, after email, sent replacement that works fine, good after sales service. Good value battery.

I placed my order a month ago for a battery and charger for an old camcorder. When I received the order, the battery charger gave a reading that the battery was dead. The battery was bulkier than the one pictured on the website. I contacted the company. They take over 24 hours to reply. Can I take pictures? No, I answered. Send me a battery that works or a return label. I have to send this request twice.
They send another battery. A completely different looking battery than the first one. This battery isn't compatible with the charger. I email the company. Again they want me to take pictures. But I have had it. I need a return label.
Again they want pictures so they can figure it out. I send back that they can figure it out when they get the items back. I end up filing a dispute thru PayPal. Just received an email from PP that I can't get my refund until I ship the items back to China! The items came from addresses in California. Wish I had read these reviews before dealing with this company. They sent me products that don't work and are going to end up keeping my money as the postage to China will eat it up. Consumers take your business elsewhere!!
Update:
Pay Pal did issue me a refund as the USPS does not ship batteries to China. They also assured me that an investigation would be made into Top Battery.

Bought laptop battery which wad dead and would not take any charge.
When I complained they originally said it could have been damaged in transport and they would ship a replacement and I did not have to return the original because it would be too expensive, but I had to send pictures which I did. No reply, When I chased again by email they said I would have to send the battery back to their China factory in Shenzhen at my cost. The cheapest cost for this is much more than the cost of the original battery, so not commercially viable. When I complained via PayPal they have said yes I am eligible for a refund but I must return the battery to China, which would leave me with a greater loss.
So "buyer beware", you chance getting an inferior product or one that does not work with no real protection from PayPal.
I would never use again!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered T400s-compatible battery from 'Top Battery' on 11th of the month and on 23rd I realised I had heard nothing. Emailed company and literally 5 minutes later received a personal email response with link to Hermes tracking and a request to let them know when it had arrived. Battery arrived later that afternoon. It's reported by my laptop as being Sanyo brand and currently lasts well over 3 hours after a few initial charge/discharge cycles. Very happy with service received.

I ordered a replacement battery for my colleague's laptop. We received no email confirmation of our order, but the battery did arrive within a few days.
When my colleague tried to use it, the laptop would not even recognise the battery. I emailed them to let them know, and also to ask if we could be sent a working replacement. I had no response to my email, but we did receive a replacement within a few more days. This also did not work, so I emailed asking for a refund. They asked me to send photos and the model numbers of both batteries via email, which I did.
Eventually they got back to me saying the batteries had been tested and they are fine, so the laptop was the problem. (This is not the case, as we have since bought a battery from a different supplier and this worked fine first time.) I requested a refund again and was asked to return both batteries to an address in Essex, and to provide them with the tracking number, which I did.
No one was in when the courier attempted to deliver the package. The contact number they provided me with did not respond to DHL's request for more address information for a re-delivery. The package was left for 5 days at the DHL depot with no contact from the receiver of the parcel.
I have since arranged for the parcel to be sent back to us. I have also raised a dispute with Paypal which they resolved immediately by refunding us.
Bad products, terrible customer service. Will not be buying any products again.

Had I seen reviews before ordering would have gone elsewhere. Was then very apprehensive but no need. Delivered in time frame, no compatibility issues, recharged several times now and seems fine.
Would use again.

How I wish that I had read this site before ordering 2 replacement Makita 9000 Power Tool Batteries for £50 inc delivery.
I selected this company because I was led to believe it was a UK based company and that the batteries would arrive by Royal Mail which suited me as if I'm out I can collect from the local sorting office.
I was therefore utterly astonished when after I paid (thank God by Barclaycard so I'm covered) I received an acknowledgement from PayPal that I had actually paid someone called Yongqin Wu trading as TomGadget, slightly different to Top Batteries UK Ltd!
This is totally disingenuous (understatement).
Over 24 hrs later, despite emailing various addresses including TomGadget I have received no confirmation of order or even evidence of their existence on the planet.
If I have still received nothing by Thursday I will open a dispute through Barclaycard.
I could really do without this hassle, all I want are two new batteries.
I will keep this post posted!
I have since got an email stating that I will receive my batteries in 2 to 5 working days.
Fingers crossed....clearly not coming from the UK

Much to my surprise the two batteries arrived yesterday in working order.
In the end it turned out to be a good service but would be much better if they were straightforward on their website.
I have there uprated them from one star to three.

The website is based in China and not the UK (no recourse under UK/EU law)

When you click on the contact us or live chat sections on their website nothing happens.

The email address they supply - doesn't exist and is sent via a 'host'.

They claim a 30 day money back option but you have nobody to contact.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

Like many who have posted messages here I was under the impression that top-battery was a UK supplier (reinforced by the the about page which gave the address of a warehouse in London). I completed my purchase and awaited a response, I used PayPal and received the normal payment receipt, but nothing from top-battery. I waited a couple of days and still no contact and so I emailed the address used for the PayPal payment. I had no reply in 24 hours and so opened a dispute. I then received a message via the dispute telling me that the London warehouse was out of stock of the item and it was being sent directly from the factory in China and that I would receive it in 10-12 days. I had asked for full delivery details, but none had come. I asked again for details and was sent a link to "ec-firstclass.org" with a tracking number. The site looked like a fake, and when I googled it there were many people of the same opinion, but it did show what seemed like valid tracking details which were updated every day or so showing the parcel entering the UK and being passed to a UK carrier for delivery. The parcel turned up on the 10th day after the day or ordering. The contents were as described, a perfect replacement for the original, and has been cycled and charged successfully.

I am pleased with my purchase, but annoyed at the suppliers constant pretence at being a UK trader, which caused all the distrust. They obviously believe that admitting they are a Chinese company would prevent UK customers from buying. Would I have bought this battery if I thought it was coming from China, the answer is Yes! It was 25% of the cost of a genuine Acer replacement, the 10 delivery is no real hassle and I would buy again. I just wish they would be honest from the start.

This website sells chargers and batteries and gives misleading marketing information to suggest that the products are genuine Apple/Sony/Dell etc.
Firstly, they are NOT these genuine brands, they are tinny copies and secondly, they don't work.

I was unfortunate to have bought a charger for my Apple laptop. I raised a claim through Paypal and they confirm I am due a refund. However, in order to receive the refund, I have to provide tracking information all the way to CHINA!

I will be contacting Paypal about this to see what can be done - because it's unacceptable that to get a refund I have to spend more money than the charger is worth.

This company/person is knowingly selling useless products and taking people's money in the process.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Delivery was speedy! Received exactly what i ordered, well packaged. Spot on with communication. I would buy from them again.

I've just purchased a battery replacement for my laptop and I realised that it doesn't match completely. It doesn't even fit.
You will notice that the website top-battery.co.uk doesn't have an UK postal address neither an UK phone number to call for an RMA (return merchandise authorisation) number.
I now follow up with PayPal to resolve this hassle.

Despite all items allegedly being "in stock" when I ordered, after nearly 3 weeks had only received part of my order, and that was wrong! Spent 3 weeks emailing back and forth to a guy allegedly called Terry, but it turns out they ALL use this name as a scam! After having my time wasted for weeks in the end I opened a paypal dispute. Now, the seller expects me to post the items back to them at my own expense to obtain refund. Not only that, they expect me to send TWO separate parcels to TWO separate addresses [both in the UK]. I have offered to drop the items off personally to ONE address only - but they refuse. Reading the MANY negative reviews about this company on this site, this is because they are trying to make things extremely awkward and difficult for me, and clearly because they do not want me have any proof of return to them so that they can dispute receipt! Thankfully, having now read the appalling reviews on this site I will not fall for sending these back as they ask, and then have paypal reject my claim due to posting to an incorrect unauthorised address! This company is an absolute rip-off scam company. Even though their name/website suggests they are in UK, It is based in China, so basically you are sending money straight out of the UK with no real recourse if and when things go wrong. You do not get a vat receipt and frankly I now wonder about the legality of buying from them, as any buyer would be responsible for any import taxes or duty due on their products. Luckily, I have found a REAL! UK based company who I ordered from instead, and got my whole, correct, delivery within two days.
