Day 218,962,341,894 of trying to get ThriveCart to address ongoing bugs.
I would genuinely be willing to pay for support if it actually solved the problems.
ThriveCart’s tag-based access feature (configured in Learn course settings) has been unreliable from the start. I set it up over a year ago, and it never worked consistently—students were not granted access correctly, or access was randomly re-enabled. Because of this, I disabled the feature entirely.
Despite having no active tag rules in place, students are now randomly regaining access to courses after a year. This includes users who were refunded and manually removed from Learn. I have never created any automation that would allow this behavior.
This makes access control completely unpredictable and undermines trust in the platform.
I am also still waiting for:
- The ability to download my own students’ CSV without receiving a 504 Gateway Timeout
- Split-payment transactions to correctly appear in the ThriveCart payments dashboard
Support responses consist mainly of automated “we’ll get back to you” messages, with no follow-up from a developer and no visible fixes.
I would honestly prefer to pay a monthly fee for a product that works as advertised, rather than face the enormous risk and effort of migrating 2,000+ students to another platform. But unresolved bugs, combined with the lack of meaningful support, make that difficult to justify.
If there is a proper escalation path, developer support channel, or any effective way to get these issues resolved, I would genuinely like to know.
What an exceptional service provider. Thrivecart is my go-to for transaction and payment processing. The set up is easy and the customer service team is topnotch. Ella was especially helpful on Christmas Eve when I was freaking out about a set up (user error). I just recommended TC to a friend and reaffirm my recommendation.

Ich habe Thrivecart für mich ausprobiert, allerdings festgestellt, dass es für mich als Kleinunternehmerin mit einem Nebenbusiness nicht geeignet ist, da sehr kompliziert und es einige Funktionen nicht hat, die ich brauchen würde. Ich habe dann an den Support geschrieben, dass ich gerne eine Rückerstattung hätte. Auf sehr vielen deutschen Seiten wird von einer 30 Tage Rückgabefrist gesprochen, dem ist leider nicht so. Es gibt nur 7 Tage. Leider war ich 4 Tage auf Urlaub und habe mich erst am 8. Tag mit einer sehr netten Mail gemeldet und um Rückerstattung gebeten, weil ich das Tool für mich wirklich nicht nutzen kann. Leider ist der Kundenservice hier nicht gegeben. Sie sind total strikt und berufen sich auf 7 Tage Frist. Kein Entgegenkommen. Das ist für mich kein Service. Jetzt habe ich viel Geld ausgegeben für ein Tool, das ich nicht nutzen werde. Auf nochmalige Anfrage habe ich gar keine Antwort mehr erhalten.
La fonctionnalité One Click upsell ne fonctionne plus depuis + 2 mois.
Pareil pour l'abandon de panier avec Zapier, ça ne fonctionne pas.
Je perd des client et du chiffre d'affaires depuis plusieurs mois et ils me disent que je ne suis pas une priorité.
Or, le 1 click upsell est vendu comme une fonctionnalité de ThriveCart. Qu'elle ne soit pas fonctionnelle est une pratique commerciale trompeuse. Je vais leur envoyer une mise en demeure et pourquoi pas pousser plus loin si aucun retour positif.
Been using thirvecart for years. It's simple, well priced and just works! Also their support is the best in class. Actually the best I have EVER seen!

In my initial request, I had asked for screenshots if possible. (I'm neurodivergent and a visual learner, so this is incredibly helpful.) Ella gave me clear images to look at as well as instructive descriptions. I appreciated she took care to customize her response to my needs — and she did it all so quickly, within just a few minutes of me submitting my request!

Depuis 8 jours, un incident majeur qui nécessite une intervention technique interne de l'équipe de Thrive neutralise mes ventes : chaque message envoyé à l'assistance reçoit une réponse dans un délai de 24h minimum, c'est une réponse type générée par IA qui dit qu'on est en train de faire des tests pour solutionner mon problème. Il s'agit simplement de rétablir un webhook et une connexion avec stripe, c'est l'affaire de 5mn pour un technicien. Depuis 8 jours les paiement de mes clients sont débités et ne me sont pas crédités (ils disparaisse on ne sait pas où). Thrive se fiche totalement de ce qu'il se passe après qu'on ait payé la cotisation pour l'uiliser. A fuir !
Ich hatte ein Problem mit einem Kunden. Der Support reagierte sehr schnell und bat immer wieder Ideen an, die nicht griffen, aber ich konnte immer wieder fragen und sagen, dass es noch nicht klappt. Und dann wurde die Lösung gefunden. Ich fand es großartig, dass niemand genervt war, sondern so lange der Fehler gesucht wurde, bis er behoben war. Genau das braucht man.
