Not particularly impressed.
Not particularly impressed, nor happy with AA motor insurance, despite the initial low price of an annual motor insurance policy quote from 10th Feb 2026 of £421.20 on a comparison website.
The car dealer offered an earlier collection date for a new car, so I requested the AA policy commenced 9th Feb 2026.
The price quoted was £140 extra! This would be the equivalent of a £51,100 annual premium, based on the daily quote provided! Are you for real, AA?
Shocking, disappointing and a complete rip-off from a supposedly reputable insurance company.
Before AA try to make feeble excuses, check out policy number ending: 10310366, then try to deny it.

Help? How does £140 for one day's insurance "Help again"?
Temporary (24 hour) insurance was provided by another company for £40.51 pretty much £100 cheaper than AA could manage.

Any Changes to a policy, such as adjusting the start date, can affect the price, as quotes are calculated based on specific details at the time they’re generated. My policy was cancelled without my knowledge and I received no notification before discovering I was uninsured. I’m currently pursuing a formal complaint with AA.

Not impressed with website
I have recently taken out a Home Insurance with the AA and I am trying to log in to my account to get my documents. Each time I am taken to the Car Insurance website. I have tried to use the Chat section, but this didn't work. So far I am not impressed.

Don't accept the renewal premium offered shop around.
My Home Insurance with a well known hight street bank (think Horses) was received and had increased to over £500???. It was a good standard of cover.
They very kindly let me speak to a "Bot" offered to lower it , still to more than last year, or said, I could lower the standard of cover.
Searched a well known comparison site who offered many alternatives, firms I'd never heard of, until The AA came up at a very much equal cover for £200 less than the bank. No brainer, now with the AA
