Got the job done eventually. Would have used the website if PayPal was available. Used the phone. The number given by the chat bot didn't get me through to the right person, who put me through to another wrong person who put me through to the right person!

No long telephone queues - James was very helpful and documentation received by email promptly

Telephone was answered fairly quickly.

Insurance on my Audi s3 £340 for the year and paid in full , 6 month later I’m just about to collect new car but the easy to use online account won’t let me change details so just give them a ring ? Then I’m told they would want £998 to insure my new car or I can cancel, how very helpful, so no choice really or like the man said you do have a choice pay £998 or cancel , so after taking all there fees AA silver was not quite what it first looked like , if your thinking of changing car keep clear of these rob dogs , Never again AA

My partner recently died unexpectedly leaving me with 2 children under 5. As well as dealing with my children and our grief during this extremely distressing time, I was also busy with probate issues so it would be quite understandable why I did not have time to contact the AA until today 26 September (5 days after auto renewal date) to cancel my home insurance as their renewal price was significantly more than last year’s premium.

Prior to auto renewal The AA Insurance team sent me several auto-generated emails but nowhere within the emails was there a cancellation option. Even the original renewal email which gave the renewal quote did not provide a link to cancel the policy.

I had some time today to contact them and from their website it appeared that logging in to my account was the best way to contact them. The human I “online chatted” with was given the name Anthony. He stated that he could see that I logged on to review my documents (I didn’t) and then stated that the company were legally entitled to claim £22.21 for the arrangement fee and the days covered during the cooling off period. Anthony would not cancel the insurance until I paid the fee.

I’ve had to cancel other insurance with other insurers after renewal before but no other insurer has ever wanted me to pay this fee.

Wow! How desperate are they to grab this money during the cooling off period?

Do you think I will ever buy insurance or roadside insurance from the AA again? So much possible future business lost for £22.21!

I have a fantastic deal with AA insurance cheaper than my last insurance company. An also with AA breakdown cover a have good deals with them two.

User friendly Internet service and cheaper in comparison than other insurance providers.

Well my breakdown cover was good when I broke down the recovery was done really well and explained what
Was going to happen and it did exactly that. So I thought I would give your insurance cover a try.

Easy to set up but the real test is if there is a claim

The person who helped me on the phone was excellent she had everything at her fingertips even found my no claims from the last time I was with AA (i have been on a company policy for a few years)
AAis excellent in that they are real people who can help if you cant get things sorted properly online.
