We believe that during a swimming holiday it is important to have time out to relax in between the swims and get into the portuguese spirit. This is why André and his team have personally scouted, swum and selected particular swim routes, that include stops at fishing harbours, villages, remote islands and beaches for the swimmer to enjoy local cuisine at traditional portuguese tavernas and explore each unique destination… after all you have worked to get there! Our guides combines a mix of diverse skills, catering both for the newer open water swimmer alongside those that want to train a little faster and improve fitness. They are all experienced in open water and have also attained the relevant life saving qualifications, making your swims safe as well as enjoyable. Lastly, we feel it is really important that you get a real portuguese experience, which is why we have a bilingual team with local knowledge to make you feel at home in Portugal… our guides can even teach you the all important Portuguese phrases!

An Epic experience with SwimTogether at Azores Island! The organizer- Andreas was absolutely brilliant, kind and caring and looked after each of us individually which was a very special touch, his love and passion for the Ocean and swimming was so inspiring. The ocean swim locations were magical, hotel was great and age bracket was balanced with an international group of people, it became a family of us for the week and a trip and new friends to remember forever! I definitely will be doing another Ocean Swim camp with SwimTogether next summer.

Sao Tome and Principe with Andre and Zuga
Joined a wonderful swimming vacation on the beautiful Islands of Sao Tome and Principe with Andre and Zuga (+ a lovely group of swimmers from across the world). Warm water perfect for long bikini swims. We swam over equator! Fun boat rides with epic view towards the beaches framed by palm trees grounded on black volcanic cliffs. Favorite view! Also must mention the coconuts, chocolate, grilled baracuda and swordfish, and bananas. Yum. Super friendly guides and locals. The trip included interesting side-adventures; a visit to a cacao plantation/history session, dinner at local family house, turtle sanctuary visit ++. No sharks, but collected a couple of jellyfish tattoos. But hey it's the ocean. 10/10 recommend and would go again.

Islands on the equator
This swim holiday was an amazing experience in every way. Andre & Zuga reassuringly tailored our swims to meet the group's needs in scenically beautiful calm, coastal waters, never minding the pace. They enabled us to experience the variety of the local culture, the beautiful locations both on foot & by boat, answering all our questions with knowledge & good humour. The hotels, food & locations were perfect despite the occasional hiccup that reminds us of reality. I loved it all.

The entire experience was amazing
The entire experience was amazing. With both Andre and Zuga knowing the locals and the local spots, terrain, and trouble shooting combined to build a full on and very unique experience. The places to stay, the spots to stop along the way and of course the swimming make us want to book another adventure. Highly recommended.

The swimming trip to São Tomé and Príncipe was truly amazing. Besides the fantastic swims, there is also a cultural component that allows you to better understand the country’s history, traditions, and daily life, and meet local people who are always friendly and joyful.
The swimming was unforgettable – crystal‑clear 29ºC waters and stunning landscapes. The guides are extremely experienced, which makes all the difference throughout the week and really enhances the whole journey.
On top of that, the local food was incredible, another highlight that truly represents São Tomé and Príncipe. And one of the most magical moments of the trip was witnessing the release of baby turtles into the ocean - an unforgettable experience that adds even more meaning and beauty to the whole adventure.

We are sorry to see your review and would like to publicly clarify the entire process so that the situation is transparent for you and for other customers.
From the very first contact, made via Instagram, our team provided personalized support to help you choose the most suitable wetsuit, the Sumarpo Nova Men's Eco Triathlon Wetsuit. To ensure the best possible fit, we requested your weight, height, chest measurement, and photos, allowing us to give an informed size recommendation.
Based on the information provided, we recommended a specific size that we believed would fit you best. However, you chose to order one size above our recommendation, which we fully respected, as that size still falls within the brand’s size chart, although with a slightly looser fit.
After receiving the wetsuit, you requested an exchange without providing any reason. As part of our standard procedure—and in order to assist you properly—we asked you to explain the reason for the exchange and to send photos or a video wearing the wetsuit. In addition, we offered to schedule a video call with our team so we could directly assess the fit, clarify any concerns in real time, and, if necessary, confirm and proceed with an exchange.
To date, we have not received any explanation, photos, videos, nor confirmation for a video call that would justify the initial exchange request.
We would also like to point out that we have sold over 100 units of this exact model and have not received a single complaint regarding fit or product quality.
We are always available and willing to resolve situations fairly and transparently, but we do require the customer’s cooperation to do so. We remain open to receiving the requested information so that we can move forward with your case.

The hotel choices were great and the restaurants chosen were also good. The guides were both excellent, well prepared and able to support the team. The lack of water in Inhame was desafortunate and not sure another hotel would have similar issues. I believe that including a bit more of local culture in the program would be interesting (visiting a cacau plantation, a handicraft center, a music presentation, etc.).

My dream came true after 1 year of…
My dream came true after 1 year of doubting and 6 months of waiting . Sao Tome e Principe with Swim Together. It was a trip of luxe and basic combo.
Everything was well taking care of by Andre. The hotel/ resorts we stayed at were carefully picked. We travelled quite abit and we saw alot during these few days. So nice to combine swimming and sight seeimg and food activities. If you have seen the videos from SwimTogether Sao Tome, you know how priviledge it is to be and even swim there. There are not so many tourists going there so its still quite primitive.
The landscape view from the sea on boat and when you are swimmimg. You got to stop in between to admire the power of nature around you. Because moment like this might be only once in your life time to be there.
On Sao Tome Island: Adventure on staying at Ihnam eco lodge. The challenge on internet was down for 24 hr, gave me to opportunity to intune more with the nature there. Away from the outside world. The adventure of water pump problem, gave me the chance to relive the most basic. Let go with what we are used to in our luxurious life style back home.
Hotel Omali: beautiful tropical garden, swimming pool and its luxe compare to Ihnam Eco Lodge. Very good service and the food was really delicious. I never tasted eggs so good ever . Because of everything is naturel on these 2 islands.
O yeah.... we swam across the Equator: yes! We did it!!!! We also step foot on the Equator landmark!!
After a few days, we boarded a small plane( 20 seats) to island Principe. Which is 16km x 8km big.
We stayed at Roca Sundy. Amazing collonial style building and it used to be a cocoa plantation farm. So authentic and when you are in it, you travelled back in time.
Make sure you get a room with balcony. At 5am, the birds started to sing/ make noisr. I made myself coffee( local ) and enjoyed/ observed the birds. Amazing sound.
We started breakfast early every morning . Than we headed to Bom Bom beach resort. Which is situated between 2 beautiful soft sand beach. We started our swim from the beach or we get on a boat from there. So beautiful!!!
I enjoyed every detail of it. The lunch places on both islands are amazing experience.
I m home and i miss it but also am enjoying still the memory of this adventure.
No matter how much you read about it or reading posts like this. The best is to make a decision and go to experience it yourself.
I did Madeira Open water swim camp with SwimTogether. That was also a impressive landscale/ seascape/ rocks formation/ nature etc. I liked the fun, relaxing and fun company of our guides.
I will join them again for sure.
I may return to Sao Tome e Principe in 2027.

My last experience with Swimtogether in…
My last experience with Swimtogether in São Tomé and Príncipe was beyond anything I could ever imagined.
It has been a week since I came home, and I’m still in awe of all the beautiful things I witnessed. From breathtaking scenic swims and stunning beaches to jungle walks, releasing baby turtles into the ocean, witnessing incredible sunsets that stopped time, and enjoying the most delicious local food — Swimtogether delivered an excellent experience from the moment I reached out to join until the very end. Each Day was better than the last and truly remarkable 🙏🏼 They sent us all home with full hearts and backpacks with unforgettable stories to tell. The team is incredibly friendly, entertaining, uplifting, and always ready to go the extra mile to make sure everyone is having a great time. Excellent work!

It was my second trip with Swim…
It was my second trip with Swim Together and once again it was a great experience. The swim guides were not only easy going and friendly but very professional as well so I always felt safe and could fully enjoy the beauty of the nature of the Azores. The highlight of the trip was the swim between Faial and Pico islands. But for me swimming with manta rays will stay in memory for a long time. I honestly felt privileged to watch and be near to these wonderful creatures in their own environment.

Two great swims with Swim Together
During my holiday in Portugal I had booked two swims with Swim Together - one half day tour in Sesimbra near Lisbon and one training session in Porto.
Both swims were great from beginning to end!
The booking was smooth and Anna was really helpful when I had questions.
Both guides (André for Lisbon and Nuno for Porto) were very friendly and experienced.
All that added up to some great experiences that are outside your usual tourist things to do.
