I have made a return in the month of june 2023 with fedex and I have numerously called and asked what happened to my parcel as summit hasnt received my return to this month feb 2024 they are still telling me its because their in the middle of relocating do yourself a favour and send your returns direct to summit.

I purchased parts on Nov 13th after immediately taking the money from my account and two months waiting on the parts. I finally get told they have no expected ship date and refunded me only a portion of the money saying the remainder would be refunded in 3-5 business days. It did not take them 3-5 days to take the money from my account.

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. It was my first time buying from Summit racing and I would never buy from them again my order was supposed to be shipped 4 weeks ago and it kept delaying and then it was finally shipped. 2 days later, the shipment was canceled, and now it says it will be shipped in two weeks because the item is out of stock. I highly recommend not to buy from this shady website.
Bait and Switch
I ordered a 20-gallon air tank from Summit's ebay store. Part Number 9277. It was listed at an excellent price of $164 with free shipping (normally $200-$220). When it arrived at our plant it was a 3-gallon tank Part Number 9227. Since the part numbers were so close I assumed it was a mistake so I sent them this message instead of filing for a return through ebay. I didn't want to "tell on them"
"Hello, there was a small mix-up with my order. I purchased a 9277 20 Gallon Tank with a 12" Diameter and 44" length. The part I received was a 9227 3-gallon (easy mix-up) that has a 6" diameter and is 19" in length. I really need the 20-gallon for my application but I would also be willing to purchase this 9227 from you at a discount (if you do not want to go through the hassle and expense of having it shipped it back to you) since I can see us having other uses for it"
I received a response the next day. Here it is.

I do apologize for the mix up! Due to the order being an eBay purchase, exchanges and replacements cannot be processed due to policy. But, what I can do instead is refund the difference between the FIP-9227 and FIP-9277 which would be: $62.40 and you can keep the part with no hassle of return.
You can then repurchase the part needed and keep the original part in your possession! Please let us know if this sounds reasonable!

What she forgot to mention here is that the price of the 20-gallon tank had risen to $223 from $164!!! looks like they had listed it with the incorrect price when I bought it and instead of just honoring the advertised price or reaching out and explaining the situation they just pulled this crap. That, or a bunch of silly coincidental crap happened that makes it look like that. The only thing that gave me pause was the part number similarities. Remember in the message from Shawny above that says refunds and returns from ebay purchases are not part of Summit's policy? BS. Well, ebay disagrees. Here is my next message.
"So I have to buy a tank I don't need that you sent by mistake at full price? Plus the price of the 20-gallon tank has risen from $164 to $223?! That is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. I am returning the tank through eBay's return policy. Absolute garbage customer service."
So I filed the return, packaged the part, and sent it out. Got a message less than an hour later from Shawny.
"I do apologize this was not a sufficient option to you. We have accepted and processed the eBay return request. Once we receive and check in the part, we will get the full refund to your original payment method.

Hmm, I hear a different tune. Maybe I am being hard on Shawny here and Summit just has some INCREDIBLY unethical return/refund procedures or someone just didn't want to do right by me. People, when you or your company makes a legitimate mistake, just own it and make things right by them. Especially if the customer attempted to be gracious and understanding at first. Summit sucks I guess
Do not believe in their performance recommendations
I would normally leave a review under the product but this applies to both the manufacturer (TCI) and point of sale (Summit Racing Equip). I purchased a TCI Street Fighter trans for my 1967 Olds 442 that had the Mondello W31 ram air cam installed with operating range of 1400-5500 rpm. After getting both TCI and Summits recommendations for the torque converter, I ordered a TCI #240900. Well here I am almost four years later and about 500 miles on this set up. I have determined that the torque converter is either messed up or was incorrectly spected to me for the application. Bottom end was just plain terrible. Would seldom ever break the tires loose. I have spent thousands of dollars and several hours trying to get this resolved. As a last resort I changed the torque converter to a stock converter unit. Finally my car came alive with long burn outs and hard shifting into 2nd and drive. Summit and TCI have wasted so much of my time and money just because I believed in their recommendations.
Recieved wrong parts…
We continuously recieved wrong parts sent over 500.00 worth of parts back using their labels for returns have tracking numbers sent in oct before 30days to return items was up in oct now dec still no credit to his bank account
Wrong parts twice, very poor customer service
I ordered 4"x45" muffler delete exhaust pipes,and received 4"x30" under the part number that was listed. OK their is a problem. I call Summitt to get this corrected. The gentleman on the phone said he would check it out. He said he would correct the problem and ordered me another set, and a return label to return the problem set of pipes. It was an issue for me to load up and head to "ups" but OK. I got to"ups" and they would not accept the boxes because they needed to be banded as well as taped. I do not have banding equipment. Also"ups" was going to charge me 2.50 to print a label from my phone plus a 2$ handling fee. Frustrated I returned home with my boxes. I called Summit customer service and he couldn't help me. He past me off to a second level manager? No help from him at all. He just made excuses trying to lay blame on me,
i hung up on him The second set of pipes arrived to be the same size. (Incorrect) again. I couldn't believe this. And the info on the web site is still incorrect. Needless to say I will Not!! Use Summitt racing for any needs in the future and had placed my order with there competitor. I understand the large amount of bad and negative reviews for Summitt Racing!!
Summit Racing is Petty
After I placed my order and received a shipping notice I discovered that the shipping address was an old address. I contacted customer service to see if the address could be updated while the item was in transit. Customer service rep said he would try but it probably couldn't be changed. So, I made arrangements at old address to hold the item when it was delivered. The next thing I know is I get a tracking update that the item was being returned to the original shipper (Summit Racing). At no point did I request the item be returned I only requested an address change if possible. So, the item was returned to Summit and after the "normal" waiting period for a refund I only get a partial refund. The difference of $27.06 from original purchase price and what was refunded. A customer service rep informed that Summit was not responsible for return shipping cost because Summit was not at fault for the item being returned. After explaining to rep about why the item was returned they said they would refund me $25. Unfortunately this was not the total difference of the original refund and the original purchase price. So, Summit is so petty they couldn't refund the additional $2.06. When I informed the customer service rep of this difference and that Summit had lost a customer I received NO REPLY! Shop somewhere else for your automotive parts needs! Summit Racing is Petty!
Update as of 10.24.23: Summit has refunded the entire amount I was charged at the time of the purchase. I will still not shop at Summit Racing anymore and would still tell anyone to look elsewhere for your automotive needs. This debacle is not worth it!

They should stop selling "special order" items (ie) drop shipping. Im done buying crap from ecommerce stores that dont physically have inventory INSTOCK, summit racing has had my money for a month for a item they claimed would be shipped 9/18 they lied and now its supposedly 9/20 it will ship, well thats today and still nothing so far. Dont suggest an item will ship by a specific date if its BACK ORDERED and you have no clue, "special order" my ass. Con artist! I leave my review here due to the fact summit racing wont post my review on their site hmm i wonder why...

Summit Racing billit HEI is JUNK!
Purchased a Summit Racing billit HEI distributor. It lasted 3 days!
My wife is a surgical nurse at the local county hospital and after a 12-hour shift, and in 117° heat index day she was left stranded on the side of the road for 2 hours waiting for me to get to her. Once I figured out what was going on I had to go to AutoZone and buy a Duralast Gold distributor to replace the summit brand that had completely failed! I bought Summit brand thinking it was quality, hoping that it would keep my wife and her car running, we were totally let down!
Bit of a mixed bag with Summit
Bit of a mixed bag with Summit, they do try and help and my contact with customer service has been good, even if they don't initially understand my request. I get the feeling there isnt too much technical knowledge there. But they try their best. I've had the wrong parts even though the part number is confirmed for the car.
I really don't understand why I have to 'call' to place some orders especially as I'm paying 100%, its not as if I don't pay until shipped.
Also they wouldnt tell me the shipping cost until they recieved the goods into the warehouse, which is utter madness when your half way around the world. I need to know.
Reading the reviews its a shame, I'm really sure Summit could be head and shoulders above the rest with just a little work.
Great customer service and poor order processing
I purchased a set of pistons on June 27, 2023, from Summit through their customer service, the order was taken politely and efficiently processed, with the correct / required piston specs included in my invoice. I promptly received my very own box of the wrong bore diameter pistons this morning. This will cause the machine shop to push my work back and further delay finishing my work. Attention to detail is essential in any competent engine work, yet sadly lacking by most vendors.
Unwilling to even add a company name to the delivery address
Placed an order for $130, but their website wouldn't allow me to add a company name to the delivery address.
No problem, dropped them an email explaining, but was told they can't update PayPal orders.
I further explained I'm not after the delivery address changing, just the company name adding as there are multiple businesses at the delivery address - and their website wouldn't let me add a company name.
Their reply, the same as the first time - they will not even write the company name on the parcel before it's dispatched.
They're not capable of something as simple as adding a company name to an existing delivery address (not a change of address, just adding a name!).
Now waiting for my refund, I'll go to someone that can actually help customers

They buy all their competition and then overcharge the hell out of their parts. Absolutely horrible company, I never used Summit because of how outrageous the prices are, now learning why I hope everyone avoids them like the cancer they are. Summit I hope you go bankrupt you thieves.
2 months to get headers for a Dodge Ram…
2 months to get headers for a Dodge Ram and now its delayed already additional 1 week at least.
Inexplicable
3rd of April 2023 I placed and paid the order # 3975123.
5th of April 2023 the order was canceled.
6th of April 2023 the person signed the letter as Winston informed me that my bank denied to accept the return of the money and Winston has to send me the check.
I check with my bank. It informed me that there were now attempts to return the money.
6th of April 2023 I asked Winston to send proves: copies of attempts to send me money back , the tracking number of parcel with check, the date and number of check that was “sent to me”.
Winston refused to give these information.
I decided that no check was sent to me (till now 14th of April no check arrived) and insisted on return of money.
7th of April 2023 Winston informed me that on 6th of April instead of check the money were transferred to the card from which the order was paid.
I waited one week, and because I didn’t receive the money back:
13th of April 2023 asked Winston to send bank’s confirmation that on 6th of April money were paid to the card.
Winston again refused.
14th of April 2023 I sent next letter to Summit Racing with the following text:
“Now it is quite strange situation:
1. no money return, no check arrived;
2. different information concerning the return of money: or by check, or by payment to the card;
3. refusal to send confirmation that the money return took place or any attempt to return of money were made.
I believe that it is not fraud, but, unfortunately, it looks like a fraud. Maybe somebody issued the check but didn’t sent to me and cash it himself.
I kindly ask you to send me the bank’s confirmation of payment that as declared by Winston was made on 6th of April.
If I don’t receive this confirmation this week I send next week a claim to The Tallmadge Police Department concerning this situation.”
And again no confirmation of payment sent.
The money didn’t receive yet, no check arrived.
18th of April 2023 I sent the next letter to Summit Racing and tried to explain is simple as possible:
I can’t come to my bank and say “You should look for the money but I don’t have any document for the payment”.
To help you understand I can offer the following example: “In the same way I can come to Summit Racing and say that I transferred to Summit Racing $ 100, I don’t have any bank’s confirmation of payment, therefore Summit Racing should come to Summit Racing’s bank and ask where my $ 100”.
19th of April 2023 I received the answer from Summit Racing:

If you call your bank, they should have record of it as of today.

I love summit. The customer service I’ve received was excellent, they reached out to offer a refund bc I rated a product poorly and I was unhappy with it. Their shipping is super fast and I always get my parts the next day (I live local to a hub). They have a bunch of parts too, they’re awesome.
