Wish I had read these reviews before purchase!
The seating cushions flattened after a couple of months, so very firm and uncomfortable.
The neck support now pushes the back of the head out instead of supporting the neck.
Very uncomfortable overall.
If it had cost a few hundred pounds I could understand, but for a £3000 sofa it's a bad joke.
I can only guess they are a cheap budget sofa in Norway, as that's what it feels like.
Update after 2 years, just to prove it can get worse, the reclining feature has stopped working and the stitching on one of the cushions has started to come loose and the whole sofa now creaks like an old galleon.

Je me suis rendu compte d'un problème sur un canapé 4 mois après la livraison et le magasin n'a rien voulu savoir. C'est stressless France qui a résolu le problème dont je n'étais pas responsable.
Aucun respect du client et aucune volonté de dialogue si problème

Wir haben 2022 zwei Sessel View über xxxLutz gekauft. Lieferung erfolgte im Sommer 2022.
Sessel 1 - Größe M in Ordnung
Sessel 2 - Größe S defekt.
Nach zwei Wochen vielen Teile ab und das Leder riss.
Angeblich Montagefehler des Lieferanten.
Im Januar 2023 wurde der Ersatzsessel angeliefert.
Sessel quitscht und knackt, verharrt nicht in Sitzstellung. Gemäß Kundendienst xxxLutz diesmal kein Montagefehler, sondern Herstellerfehler.
Auf unsere direkte Anfrage beim Hersteller erhielten wir die Antwort - bitte wenden Sie sich an den Lieferanten.
Fazit:
Derzeit sind wir mit der Qualität absolut unzufrieden.

Uncomfortable from the start growing more uncomfortable daily, squeaky loud, overpriced, cheap, no help from store or Stressless customer service after the first chair they replaced was crooked. We just gave up.

My electric rocking chair arrived 5 1/2 months after ordering. 6 weeks later it was being sent in for repairs. Furniture store picked it up for repairs. The headrest stop working. Retailer sent repair person out to reset. Next day, all controls would flash lights, did all of the trouble shooting furniture store and YouTube recommended. Still waiting to see how long it takes to get chair back. It doesn’t have as much padding as our other furniture (major mfg.).
It is comfortable for watching tv, as the headrest adjusts for reading or tv viewing. That is, assuming yours works.

I bought the stressless Mary couch and chair both of which totaled over $13,000 (USD)! I bought this around June 2022 and in just 3 months the seats became uncomfortable to the point where the store i bought it from had to get the seats replaced.

The new seats also turned out to be defective in 3 months and the seats are so uncomfortable that i am having lower back pain.

I now have to pay 12% re-stocking charge to the store i bought it from just to take this TERRIBLE furniture away!

Beware. This chair is not stressless for someone with mobility issues. It is very difficult to rise up from the chair and there is no support for knees when the leg rest is up completely. i have to use lots of pillows if i am sitting for long periods of time, so this is not worth the huge amount of money i am spending. It is very disappointing.

Purchased the Stressless Max power recliner, and it has been terrific. My earlier power recliners were Lazyboy and Pallisers. The Stressless is much, much more comfortable, with superior adjustability of seat position. Some of the other negative reviewers on this site likely did not try it out first. I will say that I’m on the leaner side (5’-9”, 160 pounds), and I could see how this might not be the right chair for a heavier person.

For me, this is the first recliner I’ve owned where the neck position is adjustable such that it doesn’t force my neck forward and cause pain. The other overstuffed brands are a problem for me in that way.

Update July 2024: Recliner is still performing perfectly. Use it every day, no problems at all. Electronics work well, seat a back cushioning remain comfortable and supportive.

Well it appears I’m not the only one who is disappointed in Stressless. from other reviews
We bought their “Mary” couch, at a cost of £4400 in sale.
After approx 2weeks started to feel discomfort in lower back/bottom, so called Stressless who sent out “assessor” he tells us actually nothing wrong with couch but agreed filling was quite “thin” and frame is plywood.
On asking what can be done, he said, he’d forward his findings and customer feedback ( I was visually distressed ) and hopefully Stressless would either “refill” with thicker padding or may change to 2 chairs.

Unfortunately comfort is not what I have experienced – I purchased these after researching the company website and the claim that this is the “best” chair for back support and comfort. I received delivery of the chairs on October 29th – within 2 days I was experiencing discomfort in my back – since then it has become progressively worse every day – I have asked friends for help me in removing the chairs and replacing the ones I had before which gave me no back pian. This morning I was forced to get out my back brace to be able to walk without pain – these chairs are definitely not what they were publicized to be. I am extremely disappointed and out a lot of money!!

I have owned a stressless recliner for a little over a year and in general it falls short of my expectations. It is well made from high quality materials. I do find that it falls short in a couple of aspects.
I have a medium size chair. I have custom leather which is quite soft however the chair fails on two counts.
The chair is short on thigh support and is extremely uncomfortable
The swivel mechanism was designed as an afterthought it seems. It is made of plastic and binds up so much that it requires considerable force to break free. One would expect a chair of this price range to have a ball bearing swivel like an IMG prince chair at a much lower price.
I would not purchase a stressless chair in the future. Instead I would chose an IMG swivel recliner.
The best thing about this chair is the optional computer shelf that is connected to the arm.
This is not, in my opinion, worth the money

Bought a two seater Stressless Emily electric reclining sofa and two chairs. Took delivery in early July 2022, just 4 months ago.

Within three months of very light use the sofa seating was flat.

The retailer sent an independent specialist to assess. They stated that it was quite normal for Stressless sofas to lose 25% of their support quickly.

The product looks beautiful but do not waste your money on this brand.

Love the Mayfair. It's very comfortable and the New Cognac Leather is beautiful.

I have a 1970s Stressless that required new leather and cushions, but otherwise still looks great. This in stark contrast with one that's 15 years old that's completely destroyed. The cushion is completely worn out and it generally is in much worse shape than the 1970s one. It appears quality took a nosedive. I will not be getting a new one.

I purchased a Stressless Mayfair with Signature base in Paloma leather, and it is the most comfortable chair I have ever owned. This chair was part of a stocking program out of New Jersey so lead time only took 4 weeks. This chair was recommended by my Chiropractor because of the lumbar support. I discovered that Stressless is also endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association. I can watch TV for hours and have no back pain that I experienced with a cheap Lazyboy. The leather is top grain and I've had no problems with my chair since I purchased it 2 years ago. I highly recommend giving this chair serious consideration.

Our sofa arrived in late Nov 2021. Form day one, the locking mechanism had difficulty staying locked which resulted in the seat position going to recline position. After a few months of this, the locking mechanism now holds for less than one minute at time. The permanent recline position is extremely uncomfortable.
I got a service order place in May 2022 thru our furniture store. They came right out to inspect and take a video to send in. They had to hound Stressless to get a part for repair. After six week, Stressless sent them the part but it was the wrong part. Furniture store jumped on this right away. It's now been another six weeks and no indication of when the part will come in.
I contacted Stressless through the web portal about six weeks ago. They wanted ME to provide them with the part number for the repair.
We had planned to buy a love seat and ottoman from Stressless to match the sofa. Customer Service has been so bad, I will not purchase any more through them.

De spørger til en faktura kopi mht. Garanti og jeg vender retur med at den er arvet og at jeg ikke har fakturaen på den.
De vender retur med at de sender en ny del U/B på kulance.
Delen er modtaget i dag 4 dage efter første svar.

Virkelig god service - Jeg køber helt klart en Stressless stol en anden gang. Skulle mine Svane senge gå i stykker så bliver det også sådan en igen

J’ai acheté un stressless vendu de haute lutte par un marchand de meuble il y a deux mois. J’ai finalement cédé, cela faisait quelques années que je tournais autour. Plus que le confort c’est le prix qui m’impressionne encore 2600€ ! A ce prix on peut espérer une assise à minima très confortable, une sensation de détente et de bien être. L’impression est très mitigée. Si le système de bascule est performant, la garniture n’est pas à la hauteur !! J’ai beau essayer, réessayer je retourne dans mon divan, réalisé par un tapissier espagnol, en velours avec une mousse et un revêtement de qualité, même si le design n’y est pas tout à fait. Je laisse Stressless à ceux qui ont de l’argent à dépenser et qui ont envie de ressembler à des cadres en mocassin, mais je le déconseille à ceux qui sont à la recherche de confort et de détente.
