Choose another chair
Bought two signature base chairs and both have developed the same fault in that they tip forward when you sit in it. One chair is not used and repaired once and the second chair has been repaired four times and is now broken again! Highly disappointed. The fitting that joins the base to the chair is faulty! 3 years of getting this fixed, and usually takes a month to get sorted.
I am also not clear that the leather is what it should be either! Glad we had a light colour as the colour is peeling on the footstool

No more Stressless and no more referrals!!!
In 2018 we bought 3 "Stressless View (M) Signature Chairs". It's important to note that we are "snow birds" and live six months in FL and six months in NH. The chairs are in our FL home.
In November 2023, the seat of one of the chairs started tipping/leaning to the right. We reached out to the Matter Brothers/Leather Gallery (where we bought the chairs) and got the name of someone who could repair it. After much go around that lasted several weeks (I won't even go there) on December 18th we were told we had to pay $318.33 for the part that was required, send pictures, etc. etc. etc. and they would place the order. We paid and sent the required pictures. We heard nothing for several weeks so my husband reached back out to the repairman, who checked on the status and was told that we needed more than we were originally told that we needed and they now needed more money for the next piece to be ordered. On January 26, we paid another $529.65. It is now February 12 and we have not heard anything so my husband contacted the Matter Brothers/Leather Gallery who told us that now we need to actually also order a whole new base. This is absurd...if this is what quality service is all about, we are not impressed. In December we provided pictures of the chair, under the chair, the code number that was required, and since November have paid out $847.98 only to now be told we will have to spend more money because we still don't have all the replacement pieces that are needed. As a result of my husband's pushback about having to have been waiting since November, the woman said she would check on things and get back to us - so we don't know how much more money or time will be required --- and this is before we pay for the actual repair to be completed!!!!! If we don't just ask for our money back and buy a different chair.
This is actually the second chair - the other had a different issue. In 2020 one of the chairs started tipping forward when you sat in it, we found a repairmen through Matter Brothers/Leather Gallery and he fixed it. Again though, limited use over the course of our owning it.
We definitely now question the quality of Stressless given that these chairs are not used at all for the six months we are in NH and when in FL they are used maybe 5-7 hours over the course of a day, and not every day as we often travel. At $3595/each, definitely not the quality we expected!!!! Very very very disappointed and just told a family member who was going to buy a couple of the same chairs because they liked the look of ours to find another brand, which they did.
Repeat Buyer
The owner of the store was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and concerns. We have a Reno recliner and a desk chair, love both. Today we purchased a power Max and a Mayfair recliner. Seems like some hacks posted here for some reason.

We bought from an awesome authorized Stressless store, located 3 miles from our house. We previously bought Stickley there. They deliver and set up the furniture correctly. I think many of the complaints are furniture purchased from online sellers, and not set up correctly. We have two Mayfair chairs and a Mary loveseat. None are electric. The loveseat has a fixed back. All are two years old. The chairs are incredibly comfortable. We are in out late 70s, retired, spend many hours a day on the chairs, and our back problems have disappeared. The chairs have an infinite number of positions, just like an electric chair. The Mary is not used as much, as we live in the chairs, but we are glad we purchased it. The Mary is very striking looking. My wife loves the end table, the one with the curved base. It came free with the promo, but she says she would pay full price for it.

Je n'ai jamais eu un canapé "Stressles Paloma" aussi cher et si peu confortable. Dès le début la partie siège représentait des plis dans le cuir le vendeur m'a dit que le cuir devait se mettre en place !
Des plis de plus en plus importants se sont formés et la partie mousse déformée d'où une assise totalement inconfortable. Le temps passe mais toujours insatisfait ! ! !

Vi købte for lidt over 5 år siden en Stressless hvilestol med tilhørende fodskammel.
For nylig knækkede glideskinnen til skamlen, ved henvendelse til Ilva kundeservice oplyste de at der ville blive sendt reservedele u/b.
One star too many - COURT CASE WON!
Purchased Stressless suite of furniture. Totally disappointed. Supplier constantly tried to fight our case with Stressless but the only resolution was for us to be refunded part of the suite. They would NOT replace the items - they only offered "as a goodwill gesture" to refund part of the suite without replacement items. We could not accept being left with half a suite. Judge ordered full refund plus all costs! Over £9,000. Supplier couldn't collect and refunded quick enough. We are now left sitting on our sun loungers until we get replacement furniture. They actually look better than the sofa (not part of our complaint actually!) which after only 1.5years use looked like we had it for years - sofa cushioning all sagged and leather all loose. It is only me and my husband - no children bouncing on the sofa! We have no faith whatsoever in quality now. Thank you Stressless for such shoddy workmanship and dire customer service!!! We are no longer hosting Xmas. I hope this review saves other prospective purchasers of Stressless furniture from proceeding. Merry Xmas!

Very disappointed in the quality of the leather. Doesn't seem to be real leather, as it's peeling and cracking. After less than 2 years, the £2400 chair looks like its a cheap plastic coating not leather. Will not buy again.

In 2004 kochten wij een Stressless salon en waren daar heel tevreden over, zodat wij begin 2023 opnieuw een Stressless salon kochten.
Dit blijkt intussen een totale miskoop te zijn: er zijn problemen met de elektrische aansturing en er is een zeer slechte kwaliteit van de zitkussens . NU AL , na amper 8 maanden, heb je het gevoel dat je op het frame zit. Stressless is gewoon waardeloos geworden ten opzichte van de vroegere Noorse kwaliteit.
Stressless MIKE chair
I purchased the Mike electric chair. From day one it was uncomfortable in any version of recline. The headrest sometimes works and many times not. The leather is of poor quality. Any company I entertain try's sitting in the chair and after 5 minutes they find it uncomfortable. I’ll try and sell it at a steep loss just to get rid of it. It cost almost 50% more than other well made recliners. Stressless is no more - it’s STRESSFUL. Any body want to buy my chair at 1/3 the price I paid for it?

Stressless nicht ohne Stress
Zuallererst: Über den Lieferanten Segmüller kann ich nichts Negatives sagen, die sind immer sehr bemüht.
Stressless: Absolut inakzeptable Qualität für einen sehr teuren Sessel. 5 Reparaturen und die Lehne lässt sich heute immer noch nicht einwandfrei bewegen, ohne dass an der linken Seite ständig die Achse an der Lehne herausspringt.
Das Malheur zieht sich jetzt bereits über zwei Jahre hin, immer wieder Monteur-Termine, der Sessel wurde sogar bereits abgeholt und nach wenigen Wochen wieder gebracht. Erfolg: Null Komma Null.
Ich bin soweit, dass ich bei Segmüller das letzte Mal reklamiere und auf Rücknahme pochen werde, notfalls mit Anwalt.

I needed the seat pads replacing... after several months of contact I got nowhere with them or any of their recommended contacts.
For a midrange sofa I'd expect a decent customer experience. For a premium brand like Stressless I'd expect them to be offering a robust one.
Sadly, I won't be buying nor recommending Stressless again. Avoid.

Le SAV est impossible à joindre , il faut passer par le vendeur , lequel est mené en bateau par la marque et on ne peut pas nous, client , joindre directement les responsables français de la marque .
