An expensive failire
I tried out all the chairs, even sitting for over an hour in a chair at the dealer. Several of my friends love their chair. After paying a small fortune ordering a chair it arrived and for 3 years has been a great disappointment. It is very low to the ground, deeply angled so difficult to get out of. No positioning of the footstool that is a separate piece gets it at a comfortable level or angle. I have tried putting firm pillows on it, on my chair seat, behind me. Nothing seems to work.
I would love to get a recliner and be comfortable yet again, I just need to sell this worthless chair to do so

Super service.
Wij waren onze inbussleutels van Stressless voor de fauteuils kwijtgeraakt door een verhuizing. Stressless stuurde kosteloos nieuwe sleutels op. Dat noem ik nog eens service!
Not worth the premium price
Purchased the Aurora sofa and ottoman 1/2021 and in just over a year the seat on my side became depressed and uncomfortable. I am 6'1" 190lbs and I really expected that a sofa that costs $4,495.00 would hold up better. I have a hundred dollar computer chair that has been better than that.
Poor Durability and Design
The durability of this furniture is not there for the price. I paid $7000 for a Stressless Jazz chair. This is a unique piece of art, in a way, and a beautiful chair. It replaced a 22 year old leather swivel recliner that I still have. After 11 years springs within the seat cushion broke causing the cushion to collapse completely. Stressless has no replacement cushions for the discontinued model, and no repair options. The matter of fact response was that they couldn't help me. Very poor.

We bought a chair 3 years ago. The fabric has bobbled and no longer looks smart. We contacted the shop we bought it from who contacted Stressless who stated because we chose a natural fabric we have to shave it and the rear of the back of the chair looks immaculate because it isn't sat on...Not only was the response condescending but why on earth would the company use a material that requires this and surely in time, after defuzzing and shaving; this will thin the material... I'm incredibly disappointed by the diligence exercised in the fabrics provided. We bought this expensive chair due to my back problems, I don't anticipate it lasting any great length of time. It seems this is another company that relies on it's name rather than quality.
13/08 - thank you for reiterating information for the benefit of anyone who reads reviews and not addressing my issue. I would never recommend Stressless nor will I purchase

I bought the Stressless Buckingham…
I bought the Stressless Buckingham loveseat 7 months ago. I have never had back problems in my 60 years, but NO lumbar support in the loveseat has caused bad back pain. I now use a lumbar pillow and am much more comfortable. $3000 for a poorly designed, badly named (Stressless??) loveseat.
Toujours la faute à une utilisation inappropriée
Soucis de fonctionnement du verrouillage de la bascule d'un canapé.
Discours du SAV, c'est systématiquement la faute du client et ils cherchent à vous mettre en tord.
Pourtant ils prennent en charge au final.
Au vu du prix et de la considération du client, je pense qu'il vaut mieux chercher ailleurs
Zeer tevreden met repair kit
Via een mail (met foto's) bij de fabrikant gemeld dat een onderdeel van mijn Stressless relaxstoel van 2017 afgebroken was.
Gratis werd een repairkit (BalanceAdapt repair kit for Stressless star base) toegestuurd.
Stoel is weer als vanouds. We zijn er heel blij mee.
Uitstekende service, goed begeleid met mailcontact.
My wife and I spent our retirement…
My wife and I spent our retirement savings purchasing 2 Emma Stressless recliner sofas in 2023. After a year, the seat and back cushions started to collapse on my seat. Having 2 of these sofas I moved them about hoping to share the wear on the cushions. (No mean feat as they are really heavy). They seat and back cushions have now completely failed, as a result the leather has no support. Emails to Ekornes (Stressless furniture) were replied with a standard reply referring to the Sale of goods act in this country and go back to the shop you bought them from. No, we have not been back to the shop, that has yet to be done.
Sorry to say that nearly £9,000 worth of furniture was money NOT well spent. Now I can see we are going to have to face confrontation which I don’t need at this stage of my life. No fool like an old fool.

Great service and fantastic seats
Got a second hand couch years ago and a while ago one of the moving parts broke. Sent the company an email hoping i could lrder the part as it was just a small piece of plastic. Instead of being able to order they shipped the part and what it was attached to free of charge.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
And of course the seats we have had for years is still as comfortable as when we got it.

Achat de 2 fauteuils, constatation adressée au magasin vendeur aussitôt : malfaçons des assisses, dossiers, accoudoirs et un pouf qui présentent aspect fripé et manque de rembourrage.
Selon le vendeur stressless accepte de changer "a titre commercial" les assisses et dossiers mais pas les autres éléments défectueux. Inadmissible de traiter les clients ainsi car en achetant 2 fauteuils pour 6200 E on est en droit d'attendre une qualité impeccable

Deux fauteuils achetés avec repose pieds. Dès la première année le cuir tendu a l’origine s’est fortement plissé. Nous avons contacté le distributeur situé sur Chambéry. STRESSLESS a mandaté une entreprise spécialisée pour faire une expertise. Le technicien qui s’est présenté à notre domicile nous a indiqué que le cuir n’était pas en cause mais que les mousses utilisée n’était pas assez qualitatives dans le sens où elle s’affaissent et ne maintiennent plus le cuir tendu qui, de fait, se plisse irrémédiablement. Nous avons reçu de STRESSLESS le résultat écrit de l’expertise et, comme par hasard, il n’y était pas indiqué ce problème de mousse mais que l’usure était normale. C’est un pur scandale dans le sens où STRESSLESS est juge et partie dans cette expertise.
Je tiens à la disposition de qui le souhaite les photos de ces fauteuils. En résumé, fuyez cette marque dont la qualité reste insuffisante au vu du prix payé et dont les garanties sont illusoires.

Ik ben de tweede eigenaar van een prachtige Stressless Paris fauteuil. Het draaisysteem ging echter defect. Opmerkelijk voor zo'n dure stoel en de set die ik gekregen heb om te repareren is ook totaal anders en veel steviger, dus ik denk dat het een kinderziekte was. Punt is dat ik ,ondanks dat ik geen klant ben, gratis geholpen ben en deze exclusieve fauteuil nu gelukkig nog jaren mee kan. Erg blij mee!
