Amended review: I subscribed to Sons for hair loss treatment with the expectation of hair regrowth, and used the treatment consistently for around 3 months.

Unfortunately, I did not see any noticeable improvement during this time. While I understand results can vary, the product did not meet my expectations based on how it was presented.

Cancellation also required emailing rather than being completed directly within the account, which adds unnecessary friction and could be improved.

When I initially requested a refund, this was declined due to not meeting the specific “Sons Promise” criteria (which requires 6 months of documented progress). I then followed up on 27 March to clarify whether documenting results from months 3–6 would be acceptable, but did not receive a response despite sending three follow-ups.

After further persistence, Sons have now agreed to refund my initial order, which I appreciate.

Overall, while the issue has been resolved, the process to get there was slow and required multiple follow-ups. There is definitely room for improvement in customer service responsiveness and flexibility.

I would recommend that anyone considering subscribing carefully reviews the refund conditions and cancellation process in advance.

It is a SCAM their customer service line doesn’t work. You cannot contact the number listed on website. The call gets disconnected after a brief automated message “Application error has accrued we are sorry“. Avoid, there also state that they will send a reminder email before your subscription is due. They don't send any reminder emails just loads of SPAM emails about useless “tips”. Avoid there are a lot of better alternatives available on the market.

I began using sons about 8 weeks ago initially had no issues. I then started getting a rash around my neck area and so stopped it as they suggest on their website. I then attempted to email them asking for what I should do next and received no response, I then tried to follow up on that email a few days later and still received no response, I've attempted to call, to Whatsapp and have received no response at all. I am very disappointed with their lack of customer service. I was hoping to switch to a different product with them but now given the lack of help I have received I will be looking elsewhere for my treatments.

I am sorry for any confusion. Sons is a subscription based service, and we do not offer one-time orders - this will be highlighted when purchasing a product/plan, and will be further clarified in our Terms & Conditions.

Unfortunately we do not have the facility to cancel orders once processed. We note your subscription was active at the time of your most recent order processing. We also note you have received a reminder of the order shipping soon on 30/03.

Furthermore, we do not offer refunds for prescription products (Finasteride, Beard Booster, Oral Minoxidil & Combination Spray). The reason for this is that prescription products are regulated under pharmaceutical law and must be destroyed when returned to the pharmacy.

As your order contains Finasteride and Oral Minoxidil, unfortunately we will not be able to offer a refund on this occasion.

I can confirm your subscription has now been cancelled, and no further charges will be made to your account unless you decide to start a new subscription.

Lale. Did I said i want to cancel my subscription? Are your company based on assumptions or u not abble to do you your job professionally? Never state that as a reason u just assumed that. Nevertheless, "thanks for asking for the reason." I wanted to cancel the order as I am away for holidays and I am not home till the 3 of may. Seen that royal mail left the parcel at the door and you took some time to repply. But thanks for canceling the subscription as i dont want to spent my money on untrustworthy people. I am going to ask my friend to check if the parcel is there to collect it if he doesnt find the parcel no matter what chemicals or other stories you will feed me ill get that refund.

Ok so far but dry scalp from spray

I started Sons topical finasteride + minoxidil spray around 18 March 2026. Within two weeks I developed side effects (increased anxiety, low mood, disrupted sleep). I reported it immediately, completed their full adverse event form, and they recommended switching to minoxidil-only.
Initially my refund/switch requests were ignored and I left a 1-star review. However, after they got back to me they have now fully resolved the issue: they are replacing the product with their minoxidil-only spray (which previously worked great for me), giving me 40% off my next purchase, and sending free shampoo and a dermaroller as extras.
Very happy with the final outcome and the way they stepped up. Would recommend giving them a chance to fix things if you have an issue.

I’ve been using the Sons Thickening Hair Clay for a few weeks now and it’s become part of my daily routine.

I have fairly fine hair, so getting volume without it looking flat or greasy has always been a struggle. This clay actually makes a noticeable difference — my hair looks fuller and thicker almost instantly, with a nice natural matte finish.

I usually apply a small amount in the morning on dry hair, and it gives enough hold to keep things in place without feeling stiff. It’s not super strong hold, but for my style that’s actually perfect — more natural and flexible.

I also like that it includes caffeine and biotin, although I treat that more as a bonus rather than expecting real regrowth.
