Having not used Scott & Sargeant for many years as there always seemed to be one problem or another with orders when delivered I thought i'd give them another try!

Ordered a simple replacement measuring tape for a machine and lo an behold wrong one was sent and despite having ordered the correct part got the distinct impression from the first chap I spoke to that I was wasting his time and had ordered wrong item!

Was subsequently phoned back wanted to charge me extra for the other half of what I had already ordered and and paid for!

To be honest couldnt be bothered to go through loads of palava just to get the right bit so kept what was sent and have managed with that reusing the old tape for the other side of the machine - I Didnt have the confidence that they would actually get the right parts to me!

Also when ordered charged £10:20 for APC courier delivery but it was just stuck in a jiffy bag and sent 1st class for £3.00 - this was refunded though when challenged.

Very dissappointing

Just to update following Scott and Sargeants reply - I ordered a tape that basically went on both side of a machine, was only sent a tape for one side - My simple suggestion to rectify the matter by sending the tape to go the other side to correct it and save the necessity to have items collected sent back etc fell on deaf ears and was then told if I wanted the other half would have to pay for it again.

I did NOT demand to keep wrong items and have new delivered as well , I wanted the correct items I had ordered and offered a very simple solution as I saw it to address the matter!

It appears that there is no common sense and even a saint would probably get annoyed speaking to the staff who hold conversations with other people and answer other phones whilst you are talking to them like the first chap I spoke to did. Also the tutting and sighing and huffing noises were not appreciated during my first call - Who made the mistake?? NOT ME. And then you criticise me for getting rattled!

Purchased a manual for a Wadkin BFR on 21.05.23 . All 11 pages of the manual were barely legible, incomplete an absolute waste of time. I tried to get a summary of the manual before purchasing as is usually the case on other sites but none was available. I rate this as a 0 as there is no benefit in this purchase.

Terrible customer service
Guy on on the phone was sighing after every question as if it was inconvenient for him to have to look into the issue
I got sent a cutter that was damaged, they refused to send me replacement cutter claiming they had already been sent to me
They never arrived

Awful company and after service… even their engineers say the same. Would never ever buy another machine from them.. much better companies out there that deliver and look after their clients .. stay away

Scott and sargeant have help us enormously to get sorted with a cnc router. They have provided us with all the help we needed to get it up and running.

They also service our big wood working machines. Two hard working technicians twice a year to keep everything running smoothly.

Expedite service when I needed quick after I bought used sander without any books connected the power and got stuck how to turn on and operate the machine

Hello Joe, Just to say I am very pleased with the way that you and your colleges helped me with the purchase of my new drum sander and spare sand paper. From making it clear as to paying a deposit, you had not received delivery at that point, to keeping me updated as to when it was due in and when I received my machine and paper.
