My old mortise machine broke at 2pm on Monday half way through a job. A quick phone call to Scott and Sargent and they delivered a brand new machine to me by 11am Tuesday morning. Excellent service. I would definitely recommend. Thank you guys 👍

Fast and helpfull service. I bought used maschine that didin't have manual, but I needed it. I didin't get any answer from manufacture, so I got an manual quickly and easily from Scott Sargeant

Ordered as the price was most competitive, it was nice to have the finance option also (which is not always available elsewhere). There seems to be an issue with using said finance as it delays the order which isn't communicated at any point. Communication and customer service on the whole was poor, as other reviews have eluded to, when speaking to staff on the phone they couldn't have been more uninterested or unfriendly. Having chased a few times our order did eventually arrive (1 month later). I do not doubt that Scott & Sargeant will deliver on any order you make but this experience has been enough to put me off further purchases. If you're not in a rush then order away, if you are needing a quick buy perhaps pay the little extra and go elsewhere. I have only used them on this one occasion so perhaps this is an anomaly...

My third time purchasing from the guys at scott and sargeant.. Came up for the open house and have to say a First class service Adam coultard, soent alot of time with me discussing options and nothing was too much trouble Ive also just had a service carried out and am so pleased.. Steve the engineer made My machinery look and run like new again.. All minor wear and tear items fixed and was happy to take the time to make sure i was happy Im sure it wont be long before i head back for a few more toys

Having dealt with this company prior with appaulling lack of help from Mark Gibson and a flagrant attitude of “I really don’t care” who after I pointed out his attitude, then proceeded to be very helpful and ordered the correct parts I required ( because I’m a novice and don’t know the names of things) although I had a sour taste in my mouth to me the situation had been rectified.
Then second interaction with Mark Gibson, this is just downright appalling and not at all business like. I asked for price on 2 parts, he supplied them, I then asked for an invoice to pay, he sent said invoice. I telephoned to pay the invoice immediately and did so with a very pleasant colleague taking my payment. He said he would inform Mark Gibson I had paid and the items should be expected in perhaps 3-5 days? I’m on vacation and 1 month passes I’m told the parts never arrived.
I contact Mark Gibson directly by email, I receive a response informing me he’s busy and will reply accordingly. Some 3-5 days later no reply to email but my staff inform me the parts have arrived?
I then emailed Mark Gibson to point out he hadn’t replied and what was the reason for 1 month delay in order? I also pointed out this my second interaction with him was also not good.His reply is:

Hi

“Sorry, I don’t remember, but if you have the order now then all hopefully good.”

That reply speaks volumes about this person.

I’ve been buying CNC-related products from Scott+Seargeant for a couple of years now, their service, professionalism, and knowledge are fantastic, I’m quite new to CNC technology and I rely on Scott+Sargeant for advice and guidance when I need it. For regular repeat orders of consumables, I just jump on the website to order, couldn’t be easier. However, if I’m unsure about something or need a bit of guidance I just call and there’s always someone knowledgeable on hand to help. Their prices are really keen, and they always go the extra mile. I had a rush CNC job that required some weekend working, I needed a particular bit to complete the job, I called late on Friday afternoon (past the next-day delivery deadline) and spoke with Louis who called the dispatch team while I waited and confirmed I’d be okay for a Saturday am delivery. My CNC bit arrived 9am the next day. Technology is great but sometimes you just need to speak with someone human!

I live in the Scottish Highlands where most places take forever to deliver to, this company always deliver quickly.

Ordered a few items and initially the first delivery took place after having to chase them up. From there on the level of service sank like a brick in water, staff seems to be in a hurry when you call them, emails remain unanswered and each phone call turns into another “fobbing me off” and empty promises in order to get me off the phone.

After being (too) patient this has led me to cancel the outstanding orders and go elsewhere (after a month and a half). Had to ring them today to chase them up about my refund (after nearly 2 weeks of cancelling the order) and got this rude person on the phone with no sense of customer service trying to fob me off again, instead of at least giving the idea that they are trying to be working towards a solution.

Even though they do have a massive range of products on their website, I still wouldn’t go with them again due to the very bad service they provide. At the end of the day I do order products as a business to receive them as planned in order to keep my workflow going, and I do fully understand there might be unforeseen hiccups. However, to maintain a reliable relationship between customer and supplier I don’t think it should be too much of an effort to notify and update either via phone or email. And if any cancellations take place a confirmation mail can be send within minutes and a refund can be expected well within a week.

Excellent range of products. The tooling I ordered was well priced and arrived by 9:00 next day I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I'm sure it will do what I require.
