Unfortunately we got through the whole…
Unfortunately we got through the whole process and in the end it was too expensive for the claim to go through without us paying thousands more, and it was the same for our friends who also had council confirmation letter. Despite being assured that we wouldn’t have to pay a penny if we were eligible.
It feels like a bit of a cash grab from the contractor, and when I explained this to Callum from RESG who had been really helpful throughout the whole process, he said he’d speak to their other suppliers and get back to me, but never did and neither did any of his team.

We have checked the interaction that you are referring to, and Callum provided you with the correct information. We understand that at no point during the process were you asked to contribute financially to an application, survey or installation; and that you accessed our services completely free of charge. Callum informed you that the funding available for your home specifically falls short at this time due to restrictions placed upon the industry as a whole. This is entirely accurate.
We are aware that some clients opt to approach an installer directly and offer to bridge a financial shortfall in the funding. This is not something that we will ever be involved in, and we do not recommend that our clients do this. Moreover, the installer that you are referring to do not presently accept financial contributions from applicants.
While we appreciate that a funding shortfall is disappointing, it is certainly unfair to assert that there is a 'cash grab' of any sort. RESG and the installer have made a financial loss in the process of attempting to acquire the grant funding for you, as our service and all aspects of grant acquisition are completely free.
We have verified Callum's attempts to contact you directly to discuss the above which have been unsuccessful. Given the above, we would urge you to reconsider the rating in your review, which on balance is unfair, and based only on the fact that your home simply does not qualify for the scheme at this time. Our team are very clear that this is always a possibility from the outset, and this is why we will never charge for our service, and instead cover the burden on your behalf.

Excellent service
Callum was great sorting out the grant. He kept us informed all the way and succeeded when we would have given up. We’re getting an air source heat pump and solar panels, looking forward to a warmer house. Thanks Callum.

Excellent advice and service
Calum was very helpful from first contact can’t fault them, and here I am 8 weeks later with fully working heating system (no more freezing storage heaters) solar panels (no more HUGE bills hopefully ) and insulation in the bedrooms. Can’t believe how quick it all was and the 8 weeks from initial call includes Christmas and New year

Genuine and professional
Really blown away but this company who have been excellent from the start and kept in touch and informed us all the way. Husband was c sceptical however it is genuine and professionally run. Our install hasn’t started yet but they have offered us a walk around before any work started to make sure we are comfortable as the property is a large chapel conversion. This is a fantastic proposal for us as it’s challenging keeping the heat into the lovely old building. Thank you all especially to Sarah who’s been our amazing point of contact and always available and returns all calls.

This has been the biggest mistake we…
This has been the biggest mistake we have ever made
Our appointed contractor has been horrendous with problem after problem.
Piles of rubbish left on site for weeks electric cables drilled through and waiting 4wks for a repair. Skirting boards boarded over that should have been removed. Wallpaper damaged beyond repair. Doors butchered to try to get it to close where a too large hot water tank was fitted.
There is too much to list.
Don’t go for this grant if you’re thinking about it
Update. !!!
We still have rubbish left on site after this installation that started in November and it is now March. Also we are still waiting for our issues to be resolved and we are being chased for payment for an incomplete job.

Rural energy saving grants have been Amazing.
Louise has been my contact there and she has been very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly throughout the whole process.
I had applied to 3 other companies over the last 3 years to get a grant and none of them managed it and I've been in limbo land waiting.
Rural Energy Saving Grants have been so professional and on the ball. I'm really amazed they got the grant for me. I've never had a grant for anything before now so I'm really over the moon.

Excellent service
From initial enquiry to getting the grant authorised has been very straight forward. We had a little bit of trouble getting some of the documents we needed to submit, but Sarah was a great help and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Everything done on line re documentation etc. on a portal that was really easy to use.
I would have no hesitation at recommending Rural Energy Saving Grants to anyone.

Sarah from Rural Energy saving Grants, has been a wonderfull person Sarah has gone out of her way to help us.
Sarah has kept intouch with us continously through every stage of the process and has continually liase with the heating company managers to try to help my family. Sarah is the most lovely, kindest, helpful lady I have meet in a long time, Sarah does not give up when trying to help people and that's a rare quality now days, Sarah does not know what she has done for my family we have gone through difficulties in the past few years and recently situations that no one would believe and Sarah took her time to talk to me. Sarah does not know what she has done for our family and neither does LMF company, this will change our lives, no more mould on walls and being cold as I have 3 daughters and my eldest has disabilities, We as a family can only thank all of you and to Sarah she is an amazing lady as I am still crying writing this. What can I say about Sarah - she is efficient, knowledgeable, cheerful, charming and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing is too much for her and she responds the same day to emails and phone calls and deals with all queries immediately.
