Fantastic Booking System

I have used Resdiary for a number of years now and can say so far, it is the easiest platform I have ever used. There are no hidden fees or sneaky ways to get your money like other platforms. very transparent. When I have an issue I email and get a response within a couple hours.

Over all has been smooth sailing, only thing that could be a little better would be setting up ticketed events properly instead of using a third party booking system, go directly through Resdiary.

I am cancelling my contract as it is…

I am cancelling my contract as it is impossible to get help. There is no customer support over the phone, just email.
Not good at all to wait for days for an email, sometimes you just need to talk with someone.

Could be great. But help is impossible to get. We're leaving!

Its a shame because the product is good. But the support is non existent and just getting things to look like you want is impossible. I use other venues that use Resdiary and I get sent wonderful confirmation emails. Ours is awful - no idea where it came from but we certainly didnt do it.

Weve tried so many times to amend our templates but its impossible - as is contacting them.

UPDATE - They have been in touch and have been very helpful. Thank you.

Used them for many many years but….

Used them for many many years - great user interface and staff picked up operations quickly. Be warned that they have become a bit greedy - incremental charges with the number of bookings taken - and 90 day cancellation periods. Shocking.

New options are now available which are cheaper, better supported and with better integrations such as online card processing for deposits; ability to sell experiences; direct communications with clients etc. DoJo bookings is the way forward.

We’re sorry that you are dissatisfied with your experience. For many years, ResDiary has offered four packages which differ according to the number of monthly bookings venues take. If our customers exceed their booking threshold for a number of months, they will be upgraded to the next package. ResDiary is also transparent in its terms and conditions about the 90-day cancellation policy. These can be found on all pages of our website. Full access to the system is available during this period, and our customers can seamlessly transition to an alternative provider, if required.

Seemed untrustworthy …

Tried to book a table at the local pub. Date, time and party size selected then it asked for my card details and took me to my bank verification screen without actually confirming the amount it was going to charge me, why they needed my card details, what that charge was made up of and what would happen if I cancelled. It did not seem trustworthy. I pressed cancel and instead I'll call the pub directly tomorrow to make the booking.

Another closed review site via Dish…

Another closed review site via Dish Cult impossible to use and cunning in its approach to ensure restaurants only list reviews they are happy with. Tried on numerous occasions to find out how to operate this site and service and it’s impossible. Unprofessional don’t bother!

Thanks for providing additional information upon request, Kevin, and apologies again for letting you down with our responses. Users of Dish Cult can leave venue reviews once they have booked a table via the platform. To do so, users should log in to their Dish Cult account, and then click 'Reservations' in the top right hand corner. A list of upcoming and past reservations will then appear. Users should subsequently have the option to leave a review for all past reservations listed. Restaurants are NOT permitted to show only the best reviews of their venue.

Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service. The software is complex to use and their services are horrible. Basically you are paying getting a dog that bites rather than being loyal.
DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!!

CAREFUL T&C's, we operate a 90 day cancellation period.

Once you decide to cancel the service, they charge you a three-month fee and block your access to the reports so that you cannot download your database.

This is a very poor system

This is a very poor system, slow to upload, poor support and I suggest anyone thinking about it.. don't go there.

My customers have complained, my staff have complained and I have lost customers because they couldn't log on. we have complained for months and nothing has changed.

Our system training is designed for venue operators and focuses on the day-to-day running of their service. As part of this, we also explain how to get support and offer Q&A sessions, if further assistance is required. We are here to help every step of the way.

Our standard widget does not require venue operators’ customers to log in.

Rating NVG

This app was being used on a web site for bookings for an event in a garden centre. It did not work at all in any way. NVG. I hope to make the booking by phone. Seems very poor.

The system is full of crap, how do they think that they can sell these kind of platform for >100$/month?
BE CAREFUL EVERYONE!!! Remember to read their policy CAREFULLY, they will try everyway to get your money.

I have strong beliefs that this is a scam

This have been a complete nightmare.. I have been trying to cancel my subscription for weeks now, filling the cancellation form many times and talked to resdiary staff more than once and now after the confirmation of being cancelled they still tried to collect the money from my credit card. I had to block my credit card now because of them. Unbelievable!

RES DIARY LACK OF CONFIRMATIONS have made 3 bookings in the last 2…

I have made 3 bookings in the last 2 months with 3 different restaurants. In each case I did not receive a confirmation. I contacted each of the restaurants and was advised the booking had been accepted and a confirmation had been sent. In each case I advised no confirmations had been received and asked to check my spam folder. To no avail. In each case these were resent but not received. As I understand it the restaurants who use Res Diary have to set up the confirmation side of any booking. There is not a magic app that the Customer uses to facilitate the process. I'll be going back to the tried and tested old school method of telephone bookings instead of any Res Diary frustration. Any helpful comments out there ?

Poor quality website

Poor quality website - took me through a loop several times. Address defaults to Afghanistan phone number defaults to Afghanistan. Can I book a table in Afghanistan??
Eventually got my booking
