I had a new glass fitted to my Citizen…
I had a new glass fitted to my Citizen ECO drive, on return it looked all good. I went to use the rotating Bevel six months after and it did not turn. I belive they did something when they replaced the glass. When I contacted them to have a look they wanted to charge me for a repair to something they had broken.

The bezel fault you reported arose over six months later, and while we are always happy to assess such matters, there is no evidence that the issue was caused during the original repair.
As explained, in our immediate response in July when you comntacted us, we were willing to examine the watch to see if the bezel could be repaired, but on a model of this age, original Citizen parts are often no longer available. In such cases, any work needed would be quoted before proceeding so you could decide whether to go ahead.
We always aim to be fair and transparent, and we regret that we were not able to reach a resolution in this case. If you would like us to reassess the watch and explore possible solutions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Great Repair - Small issue with item return
I was really pleased with the repair on my Vivienne Westwood watch — the work was of very high quality and used original parts exactly as I requested.
However, I’d sent my watch in a TAG Heuer travel case to protect it in transit, which wasn’t returned. I was told it hadn’t been logged or retained, which was concerning, as it was clearly not disposable packaging but a personal item of value. You’d expect something like that to be returned without needing to ask. Only after following up was the case sent back to me — though a brief explanation or apology would have been appreciated.
Overall, I’m genuinely very happy with the service — the repair itself was excellent. The watch came back looking and functioning perfectly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again. It’s just a shame the experience was slightly let down by how my travel case was handled. I’d still recommend them for watch repairs, but I’d suggest clearly requesting the return of any personal items just to be safe.

Watch came back not working & date not even changed.
Found that the crown had not been properly tightened hence not working when the watch was received back.
First impressions when you have trusted your watch with an offsite repair centre to see it not working nor even the date changed wasn't impressed on receipt of watch.

Your watch — which you acknowledged hasn’t worked properly in over 23 years — was inspected in full by our qualified technicians. Opening the case back is essential for any accurate diagnosis. The estimate provided reflected genuine mechanical issues, not guesswork — and we even removed the polishing service as a goodwill gesture to reduce your total.
You declined based solely on cost, which we fully respect. However, claiming we “couldn’t justify” the price isn’t accurate — you were provided with a full written breakdown and replies to all your questions.
You then mentioned being quoted a lower price elsewhere — but it’s worth noting that such pricing would not have covered work to Eterna’s standards, nor been carried out by an Eterna-trained technician, nor come with a 24-month guarantee, as our repairs do. The estimate we provided was in line with manufacturer guidance and included the use of original or compatible high-grade parts — not shortcuts.
As for the return: your request was processed just prior to a 4-day UK bank holiday. The watch was dispatched the next working day possible and tracking was provided as promised.
Finally, if your spring bar came loose in transit (a common issue with older bracelets), it would likely be in the box. The case back can also be gently tightened by hand, or we’d be happy to do this for you at no cost — as offered.
To leave a 1-star review and mention legal action — when the real issue was the repair cost being above what you expected — feels unnecessarily hostile and unfair.
We stand by our service, and we remain available if you wish to resolve this with us directly.

Absolutely brilliant service
Absolutely brilliant, my wife’s Raymond Weil needed repairing, the process was seamless. From sending the watch in, the quote (which was very reasonable) to the repair. I was kept informed at all times and the watch came back as new, no idea how they did that to a 25year old watch.
I have now had this and Omega Seamaster and a Victorinox repaired by Repairs by Post and I could not recommend them highly enough.

To clarify, the watch you sent to us was a Longines 2298G Grande Classique, which upon inspection was found to be a counterfeit. As a reputable and accredited watch repair company, we have a strict policy — we do not repair fake or replica watches knowingly under any circumstances. These items are often linked to organised crime, and our workshop policy is to either destroy such items securely or return them for a processing and handling fee , as clearly outlined in our terms.
In regard to pricing — our **price list and FAQs are published openly on our website** for full transparency before a watch is ever sent in. The standard £12.95 return fee applies to regular items. However, due to the nature of this case and the additional handling required, the £28.00. fee was appropriate and in line with our published terms.
Our team also processed your item within our usual timeframe, with full documentation at each stage, including tracking and condition photos.
Lastly, while we understand your frustration, we believe that removing your review may be more beneficial, as publicly stating you sent a fake watch to a professional repair company may lead to unintended embarrassment.

My Dads watch worn continuously from 1939 until 1961.
I spent 4 years trying to find someone to repair my Father’s Silver 1927 vintage tank watch which he wore throughout WWII.
After multiple responses such as, “it’s not worth the cost”, “impossible it’s to old and you can’t get the parts”, and “I’ll take it off of you for scrap value” along with repair quotations from £800 to £1460 I was on the verge of having the watch consigned to the back of the display cabinet.
I decided to give “ Repair by Post” the opportunity to repair my watch and thank god I did.
Not only did they respect my watch, its age and its huge sentimental value to me they kept everything as I requested and as original as the day it was made.
The watch now ticks with perfection and what a beautiful sound that is, it keeps excellent time and is obviously cleaner but retains all of its aged character.
All at a cost of under £300 I can’t thank the team who worked on my watch enough, thank you, thank you, thank you so, so much.

This is my 4th watch serviced and repaired by Repairs by Post. (See my other Reviews on TrustPilot and Google Maps Reviews). This watch needed one of the pointers secured on the complication and the clasp would not close to secure. I knew parts may be difficult to obtain so I asked them just to put an alternative clasp but they managed to obtain or repair the original Jaguar clasp, so I’m really pleased. The watch looks great and is ticking along nicely. The process is easy to follow and a firm estimate is given. My watch was returned by Royal Mail tracking / signature well packaged and you get a voucher for 10% off for any further repairs. Great Job. was misled by the , " send your watch postage paid free estimate", estimate was extortionate so requested it be returned not repaired. the "from 12.99" of course turned out to be £29.99.as it was a valuble watch, strange as they originally sent me a royal mail 48 hr postage sticker. i.e was worth zero as sent broken , but 1000,s on return still broken. be wary of this !! read the small print and terms.

Overpriced crap
Firstly the repair went past the due due date my weeks but not only that when I got back my timepiece yes it was longer longer fast which was the issue but the dial wasn't even lined up properly and I can now no longer change date and day or wind up. This would be OK if it was about £20 but I spent over £300! Also when I tried to resolve they told me I could return and they could for it for more money! Avoid this place.

We are unsure what longer longer fast
When your vintage Seiko watch arrived at our workshop, we noted that the dial was in a far more deteriorated condition than usual. Our team worked diligently to improve it to the best possible standard without risking further damage to this delicate component. We understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of vintage pieces and strive to ensure the highest level of care during repairs.
Additionally, during the repair process, we explained that the dial was adjusted to its maximum capacity and that further adjustments could potentially damage the feet on the dial, necessitating a replacement. Given that your watch is a modification (MOD) model, we are unable to supply a new dial specific to these custom specifications.
It seems there may have been a misunderstanding regarding our follow-up service as well. We did indeed offer a return of your watch for further adjustments at no additional cost to you. This offer remains available, and we are keen to resolve any misalignment issues and restore the functionality of the date and day changes at your risk.
Please allow us the opportunity to make things right. You can contact our Customer Service team at your earliest convenience, and we will ensure your watch is returned for the necessary adjustments free of charge.
