There's a yearly fee of $50 per unit
There's a yearly fee of $50 per unit. Not to mention the fact that rapid Radios states there's 0 lag between 2 or more units when in fact there is a delay during transmission. In fact it has such a delay that I went back to Motorola setups and dont have any lag whatsoever. Sold my rapid Radios base units and have 2 handheld units in the process of selling.

Our radios operate over LTE networks, which can introduce a slight delay depending on coverage, network conditions, and location. However, under normal conditions, the delay should not exceed 1–2 seconds. While many customers find the performance reliable for their needs, we recognize that different setups and use cases may require different solutions.
At this time, we do not see any correspondence regarding the lag issue, which would have allowed our team to troubleshoot the concern. In some cases, replacement radios are needed to resolve performance issues, and we would have been happy to assist.

These radios are great. Our school program have always had trouble with typical walkie talkies. They never seem to work fully within the building. The purchase of these radios was a great addition to the program and now we are able to talk when needed and we can understand each other. I highly recommend getting the warranty.
My only suggestion would be to put the warranty availability before check-out. I had to submit a requisition to my school and did not know about the warranty option or the cost for the warranty. I was not able to put it on the request because it did not become an option until you go to check out.

My experience has been outstanding
My experience has been outstanding. We love the radios we run a large landscape and nursery operation. We have a total of 10 radios. We recently had an issue with our radios after they sat unactivated over the winter. I called customer support snd they were very helpful but after being unable to resolve issue remotely they shipped us all brand new radios, even know they were 2+ years old. That customer service is unheard of. Patsy was amazing and we are a customer for life.

We’ve had the radios for a year
We’ve had the radios for a year. There’s one in California, one in Florida, 2 in Michigan, and 2 in Mississippi. We have always been able to get ahold of each other. We have clear communication on calls, great reception and they are always reliable. Totally recommend!

Great small US company
Great small company, great product! As an Emergency Manager having the ability to communicate is key and just as important, or more, when it comes to your family. Outstanding Experience with Rapid Radios
As a long-time user of Rapid Radios, I can confidently say that these PTT over cellular (PoC) radios perform exceptionally well, and the customer service is truly top-notch. After seeing some mixed reviews online, I was curious about the negative feedback, but my experiences have been nothing but positive—I honestly wonder what issues others might have encountered.
Every time I’ve reached out to customer support, they’ve responded promptly and resolved any questions or concerns efficiently. We use numerous radios across our team, including for employees and even some family members on a separate group channel, and everyone is thrilled with the reliability and clarity.
If you’re in the market for long-range communication devices at a fair price, Rapid Radios is the company to choose. I’ve seen cheaper PoC alternatives out there, and I know people who’ve tried them—unfortunately, they often turn out to be low-quality and unreliable. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
I highly recommend trying a few Rapid Radios yourself—you won’t be disappointed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was able to take these bad boys from…
I was able to take these bad boys from Decatur Texas all the way to Davy Crockett national forest thats 230 miles away with 0 cell service and hear my wife perfectly fine, it was awesome they are very compact easy to use and a durable too.

3rd purchase of Rapid Radios for our group

Love these radios...I've been deep in the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana where there is absolutely no cell coverage and these worked. Very comforting!! I'm taking one to Belize now and leaving one at home with the kids. Highly recommend!!!

Love these radios
Love these radios, I’ve tested them by giving one to my 9 year old and sending him out to the woods nearby to fish and play, it came back dirty and wet. But it worked great and cleaned up nicely. Great product!

Very helpful and quick responses from support. They work great! We live in the UP of MI. Gives my 83 yo Mom peace of mind. Her power and phone go out a lot and poor cell service. With Rapid Radios she can be in contact with us 24/7. Love they are made in MI!
