Customer Service worse than horrible

Customer Service worse than horrible. Apparently they don’t have a department for that and no one has phones. After numerous outages, we’ve completed surveys and requested call backs to no avail. When you call technical support you will definitely be cut off. I swear that is on purpose. Beside the low cost, it’s definitely not worth the aggravation.

I am not sure why Primus has a bad…

I am not sure why Primus has a bad reviews! I got it 3 months ago and have been so happy! I am paying half the amount that I was paying with my previous provider and the service is fantastic! When I was switching over I called them once or twice and they were helpful on the phone. Since then I have not had any issues!!

Primus= terrible customer service with…

Primus= terrible customer service with employees whose English is so bad I cannot interpret what they are saying. Internet on tv and phone both freeze so basically no internet at all 40% of the time. So much for the great Costco Primus customer service. Called 3 times never gets better and the last call taker offered to transfer me to the cancellation department to solve my problem. I have been thru Rogers, Distributel and tek Savvy and all were bad. Tek Savvy was great but the equipment is Rogers and they never responded to fix outside line. You would think I was asking for a miracle. Just pathetic.

When the internet worked it was great

When the internet worked it was great. But when it didn't work, it was a nightmare. Their support system is very painful to use and get any actual answers or help. Part of the physical problem with our internet is the cable infrastructure, originally installed by Shaw which is now Rogers. I know that the phone infrastructure in this area is also old, which leaves my only choice to be an expensive Telus internet with limited speed.

Noted that home landline not been…

Noted that home landline not been working for a while, unable to receive nor make calls. Called helpline, quality of the call connection very unsatisfactory. Static line, missed words and I had to ask multiple times to repeat what she said. Frustrating experience as I kept entering incorrect signs/numbers as she repeated it. I had some difficulty in following her instructions. After almost 40 mins, issue not resolved, told to wait for 24 to 48 hrs. Seriously considering changing from Primus....the one time you require assistance, the line is so bad, I mishear things, multiple repetitions needed and difficulty in understanding person.

I’ve been trying to get internet…

I’ve been trying to get internet installed with Primus for almost 30 days and it has been the worst service experience I’ve had. (I called them on January)
I waited for the technician last Saturday and no one showed up. This has happened twice. They also changed my installation date without any notice, even when I was not available or not at home. Completely unprofessional and a total lack of respect for customers’ time.
I’m a Costco member and chose them because I trusted the recommendation. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed. They wasted my time and I’ve been without internet the entire month of February.
I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Scam

Fraud, scam, they cut my internet for 1 week. I call to ask whats happening no body seem to know and they have the guts to ask me if i want to add someone or how am i paying my bills? They try to get me to pay with prepaid or add someone to get my internet back. Big scam the government should do something about these people. Where are we living anymore.

Incompetent

The employees all have such a heavy Indian accent I can barely understand them. They overcharged me because they are incompetent and now I have to wait 2 months for a refund and I am paying interest on my credit card on their mistake.
The internet is horribly slow as well and I have only been with them a couple of months.
Definitely will be looking for another provider. Not sure how you stay in business Primus.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Their internet has gone out time and time again this year and they don't answer the phones when it does go out, nor is it ever reported. I work remotely and they have lost me so much money. On Friday, when they went out yet again, FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND, I subscribed to another subscriber.

Run the other way, internet doesnt work

This company is a scam!! Internet goes out every night!! We've had it for 2 months and have called for support numerous times, every person that answers, if they speak English tells us something different. Now we got a bill for double the price we signed up for. Do not use this company.

Horrible service

I called Primus on Sept. 18th to let them know I was moving to a new address.They booked technician for Sept. 30th to come & complete the installation.I told them that the technician should call my number when he gets to the building because there is no buzzer.The tech guy came but didn't call & he left without completing the job but I was home all day waiting for him.Primus rang me to schedule another appmt for Oct. 11th I was home all day & again the tech guy came didn't call my number & left-still no job done.Customer service rang again to schedule a 3rd appmt for Oct 21st I woke up so early so I could seee when the tech guy comes & again no show & I even called Customer service during the time period was suppose to be at my apartment & they told me the tech guy had already visited & left- What??? I was waiting for a call & nobody rang me & so I told they were useless coz they cannot even follow simple instructions to call the number when they get to the building.How simple can it be? 3 different times the tech guys still get it wrong. I have wasted my time taking time off work to accommodate Primus tech guys who don't know what they are doing.Their service is so frustrating.I am ready to leave Primus & find another internet provider who is reliable & has good customer service.They don't even deserve a 1 star I could have given them a zero star.

Sam in the Customer Care department is…

Sam in the Customer Care department is useless. A customer care Rep is responsible for listening to customer concerns and providing assistance to help with their needs. Sam is incompetent and should NOT be working in this position. Either retrain him or move on from him. Your customers deserve better.

Worst company to deal with do not recommend

I received an email from Primus on September 24, 2025, claiming I owe $56.50 for a pod I never received. I have never used their services—I only requested a quote—and they mailed a pod under my name without my consent or order confirmation. I informed them that I did not receive the pod, but they said the tracking shows it was delivered and signed for by the security guard.

I explained that I never received it and that they, as the sender, must open a claim with Purolator for a lost package. However, they are asking me to file the claim, even though Purolator accepts claims only from the sender.

I request that Primus remove the $56.50 charge and delete my personal information from their system. It is their responsibility as the sender to follow up with Purolator and resolve the missing-package issue.
