Started in June 2021 for a five month aligner treatment and it's still ongoing... They sell you with zero interest and discounts but I wish I had paid more and gone with Invisalign. The contact is great until you pay and then you only get an email saying treatment is fine or you need more aligners, it's near impossible to get human contact. Delivery of aligners takes ages each time also and you will be sent all over the country to provide up to date scans.

Honestly if i can give them 0 i would.
So where do i start from after I received the aligners and they took my money all was good for them until i received allergic reaction from the aligners, so i called and emailed and been left to deal with it on my own for a month and then they emailed to say that they will cover the cost for a PGT test but i would need to find myself and I couldn’t and after suffering miscarriage couldn’t get in touch with them within their time frame which is not stated anywhere.
So now I’ve been advised that there is nothing that they can do and if i need refinement i would need to pay £890 of my pocket.
I am so disgusted of how unfairly they are treating people and taking their money and providing 0 service and they have 0 management team as well.
I could and have waited for them like a month with a burning mouth from the reaction but now they cant be flexible and cover cost of refinement of course.
Also their customer service team are misleading people as i spoke to their member of staff today and he advised that refinement will be covered , but an hour later emails to say that is not possible.

Never buys from them you will have issues from start to end.
I think they deserve minus 10!!!!

I went with Plusdent as my teeth were fairly OK and wouldn't need much work to straighten. However, after going over the initial 3 month treatment estimate, my bite is now worse than before I started treatment. I've had an email saying Dr Smile are now dealing with their patients but had no response to emails and phone calls for 3 weeks. I'm about to sue

Shocking service from start to finish! They don’t reply to emails. I managed to snap or crack at least 2 of my aligners just taking them out as they were so flimsy which I’m sure happens so no biggie but then they take weeks to send a replacement. I’ve done the same with my retainer it’s cracked so I’ve paid for a new one (I’ve only had this one 6 months) and it’s been 3 months now since I ordered it and no word from them just an automated email saying they’re busy! AVOID!!! Use Invisalign it might seem more expensive but it won’t be in the end!

Really disappointed with Plusdent. I have finished my treatment and have been waiting for my retainers to arrive. I’ve been given no advice weather to keep wearing my braces or not. I have been wearing my last step and not sure if I am doing more harm than good?
I’ve reached out to them at least 12 times and received automated responses, I’ve tried to search for a complaint procedure but nothing comes up. Their service level agreement for their customers is absolutely shocking. Very fast to take your money but not bothered about responding. Looking back, I was chasing them in the beginning to purchase the treatment plan and had to keep ringing them.
My teeth are somewhat satisfactory but I am not sure how long they will remain in place without any guidance or my retainer that they’ve taken the money for?
Would advise to go elsewhere.

Very sad to see negative reviews on this place, when I first looked them up it had lots of positive reviews.

Throughout my aligner experience PlusDent have always been brilliant but towards the end of my treatment I am so disappointed! I have already spent a fortune on my aligners as a one off payment, thinking it would end there yet today I contacted them to update them on my teeth as I had finished my treatment, and was around 3 months into my retainers and noticed my teeth were starting to move back as my retainers didn’t fit well in an area of my mouth, (which I had mentioned when I first got them and was fobbed off) I was told I’d have to pay again for another set of “refinements” - £800!! When I have already paid for the service of having my teeth straightened, so if I am not satisfied with the results which are way off from the 3D scan and what I was shown to expect, why is it now my responsibility to cover these costs? Also accusing me of not logging my progress on the app when it is all there to see and not wearing my aligners for the advised hours when I have! Whenever I have had an aligner crack or break they have been great at replacing them quickly but today something has changed clearly!

After what seemed a promising start I’ve been severely disappointed with Plusdent! I’ve had to have a realignment program and it’s been 6 months now chasing them for instructions having to do a 110mile round trip twice to a dodgy dentist of their choice for moulds and still no response from them about what’s happening next after weeks of phoning and emails….I’m thinking Ombudsman next tbh anyone else done this?

Do not go to this company. I got these during lockdown as I wanted braces but couldn’t get in anywhere and also thought the price was a lot lower than an actual orthodontist and I wouldn’t have to go in as regularly for treatment as it’s down through the app! How wrong I was. Ok so I went through the whole 16 sets of aligners and my teeth were still not how I wanted them to be, despite wearing my aligners religiously for over 22 hours per day. I now work in an orthodontic practice and cannot believe how stupid I was. It is a legal requirement for an orthodontist to have x-rays of your teeth before treatment to check for bone levels, root length etc. this was not done for me with plusdent. When I got to the end of my 16 alligners I contacted plusdent to say I was unhappy with the results and was told to go back a number of stages. The aligner quality is of such poor quality that it was cracked and exerting absolutely no pressure at all. I went back through my aligners steps 3 times after further advice and the aligners are just absolutely ruined now. My teeth look absolutely no different a year on and I’m still paying through a finance company. I will be looking at stopping this through the finance company and seeing the specialist orthodontist where I work to have specialist care and treatment for my teeth to hopefully get the outcome I want.

I finished my treatment with plusdent after I kept getting told to go back a few stages ..
I was very strict with my aligners and now retainers. I brushed and got them back on straight away. And I had 12 steps in total before I got my retainers. My teeth are still so crooked and are certainly not straight, even though my retainers fit perfectly. I think I should have been given at least 2 or 3 more stages…

When I complained my response was that my teeth are straight and that they are as straight as I was promised in my 3D visualisation.. this is not true
I have been conned and I have to still pay for the most expensive complex package !

I now have to go to another clear aligner company to get my teeth straightened as plusdent have completely let me down . And still want me to continue the monthly payment !

As almost everyone has suggested, stay away from this company. I had a consultation with them in their Holborn branch which was really good and informative. Unfortunately the treatment plan was much more expensive than I had expected so turned it down, however I was constantly chased by phone and email with special offers and discounts. After a few weeks I was suddenly a 'winner' entitling me to free treatment. However since 'winning' I have heard nothing from them. The app doesn't show any information despite entering my voucher code, I've called them for the past two weeks and am always told that 'we'll get someone to look into it and call you back' but surprise, surprise no call backs. The phone system states if you've been on hold for a while you can request a call back but it doesn't actually work and as for emails, forget it as no one bothers to reply. So you can't get through on the phones or via email or even through your account on the app so what's the bloody point in this business?
I was even told I have to be patient and allow three days for a phone call as everyone is on holiday or off sick - I've been waiting three weeks and still no one has bothered to respond.

My teeth were a bit out of line but I wanted them to be perfect and since it wasn’t a grave dis alignement case (a lot of people questioning why I’m even getting aligners) I decided to go for a cheaper Invisalign alternative. The length of the treatment was estimated 6-8months. 18 months later I was going back and forth for further consultations and going back to previous aligners as the teeth weren’t moving properly. At one point I had to have space made between the teeth to allow for more space, at which point I told the person doing the consultation that I’m unhappy about my bite being changed ( my teeth were pointing forward a bit?) and she said she will make a note so the next set of aligners can be adjusted- the were not.
The reason I’m not giving them one star is because the app is actually pretty good and the communication with them has been easy but if I were to go back I wouldn’t choose them again as there has been little improvement in my teeth and the final result was definitely not worth the money.

I went to plusdent because it was cheaper and promised to be faster than invisalign. Needless to say, that turned out to be false economy. The aligners are terrible quality and always breaking. The plan they put me on did move my teeth, but is nowhere near the perfect straight teeth that I paid for. They offered me a refinement treatment for free, but at that point the ghosting started.

Nobody picks up the phone, nobody answers emails, I went for a scan but no aligners arrived 2 months later. Finally received notification from Fedex the refinement aligners are in the post, but they've sent it to the wrong address. I'm now going to have to pay for invisalign anyway if I really want to fix my teeth. Complete waste of money. Complete waste of time and pain.

Do NOT go to plusdent. They are the Ryanair of teeth straightening.

I am not normally one to leave a poor review however in this instance I feel it is important to warn people against using PlusDent. From what initially seemed a promising company has now done a full u-turn. Product that has cost a lot of money just simply not turning up and unable to get a response via any form of communication. Totally unacceptable and the company should be shut down if this is the performance. A real shame however I strongly reccomend anyone to avoid this company and use a more reliable, customer focused company and not have the regrets I do.

Needed to order new retainers after treatment as mine broke. It’s now been 7 weeks and I haven’t even got a tracking number or dispatch number. My teeth have moved already but not even just that, my teeth weren’t entirely straight (as promised) after the full treatment. It was 1.5k almost to do this and then an extra £149 for the retainers. I asked for at least a partial refund for the retainers I am still yet to receive and I’ve received 2 very unhelpful replies ignoring my email intention which was some sort of refund for this inconvenience, for it to get blatantly ignored twice. I am unsure why it’s coming up as almost 4* reviews on average because the majority of reviews I can see are largely negative or similar to my experience!

Gave me the wrong size which led me to have a crack in my tooth, not responding to me after weeks of complaining. really a trashy disgusting cheap company.

Unfortunately after almost 2 years of treatment they didn’t work.

After the first set failed I was called in for a second scan and then I was sent another batch of aligners. They also failed to show remarkable improvement.

I'm giving this a 2 based on the fact that overall, my teeth are much better than they originally were!

But I did have a few problems along the way with the admin team and the overall result of my teeth.

Firstly, when I completed my treatment, although I was pleased with the improvement, I didn't feel that my teeth were entirely straight, or resembled that of the projected outcome that was provided at the start.

I emailed and called PlusDent admin over the course of a few months and spoke to loads of different agents, and dentists (supposedly), constantly being passed back and forth with no actual answer received. When they finally had an outcome they advised me they could do nothing further and that my teeth were exactly like the projection. This was not true.

I gave up for a little while and then eventually contested this again as I had paid SO MUCH money for a treatment that did not fully work. I was then informed I could pay a further £300(!!!) for what they call 'refinement treatment' - which would supposedly give me the desired straight teeth (in which I originally paid for!) I, of course, DID NOT go ahead with this and settled.

Secondly, the permanent/lifetime retainers are said to be made of a stronger material than the actual straightening retainers you use during treatment and are advertised to last up to 12 months. I do not know if I just have bad luck, but I have had to order 3 lots in 18 months, and I have just had to order more as they have cracked/broke yet again! On top of this, due to 'demand' and probably another Covid related reason, there is a huge delay on the processing and shipping so I haven't even received them yet when I ordered at the start of June.

I cannot even fathom the amount of money that I have spent with PlusDent to achieve and maintain straight teeth, and sadly my teeth are not straight.

Sub standard product. Awful customer service - 3 months no response to queries. DO NOT CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY.
Even on Trustpilot they claim that they will reach out to disappointed customers. They don’t !

They are very fast to take your money, but very quickly forget about you once they have your money. My agent had no problems following up when she wanted money, but now I can't even get a response to a simple email request. If you are looking for good customer service this is definitely not the option for you.

I’m so disappointed with plusdent . Really bad service . What they promise and what they deliver is totally the opposite. I had to call them several times to solve a simple issue , I’m still waiting on them to solve the problem . It has been 2 months .
They are quick to take your money and not care about the customer service. I’m sad that I went through plusdent .
