This once very trusted institution is turning into a 3rd rate delivery company. Used to leave a card for re delivery if not at home, but twice now this hasn't happened and when they've taken a photo of proof of delivery, the photo doesn't actually show where they've left it, so no proof at all!! I won't be choosing this delivery service anymore.

In December I sent a tracked and signed parcel with extra insurance abroad.
It was an expensive item I paid worth £500
The parcel never even left the UK Royal Mail premises
Since when I have been chasing my claim. And only in April did they approved the claim and promised to refund the money. Now it's June and I still haven't received anything
Called customer service they said they will look into it and I was told I will only get £150 refunded, which is nothing compared to how much I lost due to their negligence
Will not recommend to anyone using Royal Mail.
Constantly losing letters.
Royal Mail should be ashamed. I have family all over the UK and birthday cards are constantly going missing. These are children's birthdays!!! Its unacceptable. Would not use them ever again if there was an alternative for letters.

What’s the point of only providing tracking info upon the day of delivery , by this time the benefits of tracking a planned delivery have been lost
Also you can’t even ask them to leave item in a safe place like most of the other parcel companies .

Very unhappy with this company. Today i had twi parcels ti receive, one from a shop, the other from a pharmacy, with my medical prwscription inside. The one from the shop got delivered(dropped in front of my door, not a secure location) while my prescription got returned due to incomplete adress at 10:44. The delivery of the other parcel was made at 11:00, at 11:40 i watched my prescription going back with the return van, when i went to the delivery center, to get my parcel. Why not ask for details from the sender? Absolutely useless company!!! My medical prescription got sent back imediatly, without any care for the customers. I worked for delivery companies in the past and they are supposed to ask for details from senders, when some issue appears with the address, before you send it back...but i guess, this is how much they care about their customers. I have my medical prescription delayed now for god knows how long, as it is weekend now. Thanks for the problems created, Royal Mail. Brainless drones you are, the workers in there....shame on you!

No wonder Evri, DPD, Yodel etc are thriving. Just look at their reviews. When I buy something on Ebay, I dread it if they are using Royal Mail or Parcelforce. Tried to track the parcel but just says "Not available please try tomorrow". IT IS DUE TODAY OR TOMORROW for christ's sake. So I get an email saying it will be delivered today between XX and XX. I need it today because it is a replacement phone. I won't be in so I need to update the delivery details. I choose the option to leave with my neighbour. BUT by doing that it changes the date from today (SAT) to Monday and won't accept any other day. But I'm in on Monday so what's the point of that! It's today that I'm not in. When you choose a delivery option it automatically changes the date to the next working day. Why can't it be left with a neighbour today??? Hopeless - Wish I could give 0 stars.
Terrible service
Terrible service. I sent a parcel, First Class, Signed for, on Tuesday, 26th May, from Archway Post Office to Bangladesh Diplomatic Mission in London. The tracking claims that they made attempts on 27th, 28th and 29th May, but could not deliver due to "Access Issues". I have spoken to the Mission - there are no "Access Issues". Royal Mail has not made the delivery yet and no further attempts have been made to date to deliver. E-mail and Telephone complaint (1235 5489) has elicited no response from Royal Mail to date. The Bangladesh HC on the other hand rang back and reassured me that they were ready to receive my package, which contrasts sharply with Royal Mail response. I will never again trust Royal Mail - their service levels are pathetic. This is jeopardising my travel plans and I may lose £5000 because Royal Mail "First Class, Signed For" is a terrible service and not fit for purpose!

Wish I could give zero. Gates are wide open yet they say address inaccessible even after I put on the delivery preferences thay they should leave it by the door. Never want to use em again so annoyed with them.
Missed delivery
Expected a delivery yesterday- I was at home (outside) when the driver called and left a card without making any effort to find me. I then rearranged the delivery for today to the local post office and this was confirmed by email. However the driver totally ignored this instruction and left another missed delivery card for me, although again I was at home outside when he called. This has caused me a lot of inconvenience and I will not be ordering anything from a company who uses Parcel Force in the future.

Got to be the worst delivery company in today's times, websites terrible, tracking terrible, when ever I see a date and time from a royal mail delivery I know it's gonna be a gamble if it turns up on time or turns up at all!!

Late delivery yet again this is the 5th time in a row they have promised a day for delivery and failed to turn up. This company is absolutely Useless and and an embarrassment to the Country & Royal Family

I am considering filing a complaint with Trading Standards regarding Parcel Force's failure to provide accurate information. I received a notification stating that my parcel would be delivered between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM on Thursday. I ensured that someone was present at my residence throughout that period all day. However, I subsequently received an email at 5:53 PM indicating that no one was available at our address for delivery, which is not true. Our CCTV footage confirms that no delivery attempt was made. This lack of honesty is unacceptable. Additionally, they have now requested that I remain at home all day on Friday for another delivery attempt, disregarding the fact that individuals have other commitments and responsibilities. This is not the first time this has happened to me with Parcel Force. My reference number is H1006668739GB
I can’t believe people use this on purpose
Good lord can anybody tell me why is this business even exists in 2026? Like who is deliberately choosing this? Last week I had to wait through 5 days of fake attempted deliveries for something. And then this week I have gotten to three before asking to pick it up from a collection center…only to discover the collection center is only open for 2hrs in the mid morning Tuesday to Friday. Just shut this absolute shambles of a company down.

Shocking service from Parcelforce
Shocking service from Parcelforce. I paid for Next Day Delivery for textbooks to a well known address. It never left the distribution depot. It took some time for me to discover the parcel hadn't been delivered and all I got after several attempts to talk to someone, is 'computer says no', it's lost, it's too late to claim. Effectively they can't be bothered. £130 down the drain. Incompetent and uninterested. I'll never use them again and will tell anyone to avoid using their services. Bunch of thieving liars imo.

I seem to be the odd one out here. I received my parcel from the UK to Peru in 7 days. I also received 7 emails from Parcel force keeping me informed of the progress. The final email told me it had been delivered. This coincided with our building security telling me it had arrive. I am very pleased with the whole process.

If there was a minus star I would prefer that. Royal Mail are a complete joke. I use Royal Mail to send goods to my customers who place orders, the tracking number they provide ONLY lets you know when its delivered. So prior to this you would never know where your parcel is. I am now being told, the only true way to track is use track 24 or track 48!
I have spent hours on the phone requesting information on where the parcels are which my customers have been waiting for over 2 weeks, which they cannot answer. Royal Mail you have a lot to answer for, either someone inside is stealing or you are a bunch of liars! The customer service team are a joke and have no clue, all they say is " I don't know, I am not sure".
That poor post mistresses got sent to prison for all those years for an issue which was down to the dog s*** horizon system from no fault of hers, but yet parcels not being delivered with sticky fingered staff members and a customer service team who are a complete joke - are still keeping their jobs?
DO NOT USE ROYAL MAIL IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!!
Just fed up with the lies
Just fed up with the lies - 24 next day delivery? Never, not once. Every time the tracking says, "Attempted Delivery - no answer". No attempt is ever made - I am sitting at a desk 3 meters from the front door! I have motion activated CCTV outside my house. No attempt, just lies by North Essex PFW Depot. They literally do this all the time. Someone is paying them extra to deliver next day! Management seriously need to sort this practice out and I am sick of waiting in all day and then they pull this stunt.

NO!!!
I got a message about three minutes after they CLAIM to have attempted delivery. Since they'd have to go to the bottom of my (no-through) road to turn round I immediately opened the door and checked - no sign of them. I doubt they were even here. I filled in a complaint form immediately and got an automatic response - they will get back to me in about 7 days - or more!
The tracking stated (in bold) they'd automatically try again the next working day (yesterday). No sign or communication and or again today. It's plainly never going to arrive and I can't decide who's worse - them or the company I ordered from.
No wonder they only get the (compulsory minimum) one star on here.
