Paperless has streamlined our purchase order and invoicing process, cutting processing time in half. The system is user friendly and easy to understand. The training is comprehensive and the short training videos are really useful for a quick recap.

Paperless budgeting module
I had a good experience with the paperless budgeting tool after feeding back some key improvements that were needed around being able to add multiple lines to a budget. This was fed back to develoment team and actioned quickly. It has made tracking our budgets so much easier now!

Savings in Time and Cash.
Paperless has saved us 50% of the time spent on invoice processing. We implemented a duel authorisation process for all invoices, previously this was managed over email and was very inefficient. Also now all invoices are being put in front of senior people multiple contracts/services have been changed or cancelled as it made people more likely to question what we were paying for. Savings are in the thousands.

Very unpleasant experience
I was really excited to find Paperless and get started.
There was some initial confusion over whether or not we needed a server or if it could be installed on a laptop - 2 employees giving me contradictory information. I didn't feel they were being honest with me and it felt like their salesman would say anything to get the sale. That may be an unfair impression but I did feel they were putting on the pressure to install it even though I wanted to ask an independent IT professional if they thought it was a good idea to put it on a laptop.
Due to an unforeseen change in company circumstances, I would no longer get any benefit from having the system, so I cancelled (also meaning I never found out about the laptop vs. server issue)
They got NASTY.
To be clear, I had signed up but nothing had been received or installed, no training had taken place but they immediately came back to let me know they'd take legal action. Just extremely unpleasant, and in a million years I would never go back to them if I needed another paperless system.

While we regret that you feel this way, we are actually glad you chose to share your experience — it helps demonstrate that the reviews on our page are not filtered, curated, or cherry-picked. They provide a genuine picture of what customers can expect when working with PaperLess, and that includes situations where, unfortunately, some clients choose not to honour their contractual commitments.
For clarity: once an order is submitted and the terms and conditions are accepted — as they were in your case — a binding agreement is established. This is standard business practice and was clearly outlined in the documentation you received. You chose to cancel the order after acceptance, and while no software was installed, the contractual agreement was already in effect. Like any company, we cannot absorb the costs associated with cancelled orders once commitments are in place.
As for the system requirements, our team did provide clarification that for smaller installations, many customers run PaperLess on a laptop or PC without issue. There was no intent to mislead, and we always recommend that customers consult their IT advisors where necessary.
Our team remained professional throughout and simply asked that the agreed terms be respected. It is unfortunate that internal changes on your side prevented you from proceeding, but this does not negate your contractual obligations.
We continue to serve thousands of satisfied users across the UK and Ireland — as reflected in our overall excellent review score — and we trust that most readers will appreciate the importance of fairness, transparency, and mutual respect in any business relationship.
