They took the full and substantial payment for our holiday four months before travel. Won't be using them again.

Expert and friendly service.

More than pleased with the service I have had from this company. They have assisted me with several changes that needed to be done to my booking due to the coronavirus restrictions and lockdowns. All this was done in a friendly and efficient way, with no fuss or problem. I will certainly use Offpeakluxury again. Many thanks for your assistance.

We found this hotel on another website…

We found this hotel on another website offering special deals whilst looking for a girls midweek break.
After discussing it & deciding to book I searched for the hotel name and OffPeakLuxury came up first and it was considerably cheaper! The booking process was very easy and straightforward.
Fingers crossed we don't have another lockdown.

Best Website For Best Deals

I came across this website by accident & so glad I did, the deal we found one this site was the best one we could find at the bargain price too, so easy to move around on the website, easy to book, this company just has everything you need to know before you book, customer service is great too, would I book again using this company & website again YES, would I recommend it to friends and family YES.

Excellent service

have this company very good. My sister and I made a booking last year which unfortunately we have had to reschedule about 4 times. The staff have been excellant, responding very quickly to my emails and rearranging things.
would highly recommend and I would certainly book with them again.

Rubbish company not impressed at all.We…

Rubbish company not impressed at all.We booked a hotel in the UK through this company nearly a year ago but due to lockdown we have been unable to go. During this time I have had a cancer diagnosis and about to start treatment, but this company has refused to refund our money dispite the hotel being in lockdown and my cancer with and uncertain future. We will seek legal advice.....Mean mean company AVOID AVOID AVOID.

We're really sorry that you felt it necessary to leave us a one star review, which we feel is very unfair. Any customer who's booking has been affected by lockdown has been offered a full refund, and despite enormous pressure on our team during the pandemic we refunded everyone who chose that option within a week of the latest lockdown announcement.

In your case, you booked and then wanted to cancel at the last minute, after the time at which a refund was possible. This was all before the first lockdown when the hotel was open. To avoid you losing your money we negotiated a complimentary return stay for you in place of the one you were unable to take. Most agents wouldn't do that and many hotels wouldn't agree to it. You were very generously treated and we are proud of the service we gave you. Your rearranged stay then couldn't go ahead because of lockdown, and we've arranged further extensions. You obviously can't have a refund for a complimentary stay, as you didn't pay for it in the first place.

We wish you all the best, and trust you enjoy your stay when you are able to book it.

Would use again for luxury stays

We have used Off Peak Luxury a few times now and find the deals are amazing value, even compared to the hotels own websites. You often get more included in the packages as well.

The staff are always very friendly and want to help, which makes a refreshing change. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Good luck for the future, it has not been an easy time for hospitality the last few months.

Used OPL numerous times & have always been impressed by their helpful staff & superb service. Visited many of their hotels which have all been of a high standard & the packages OPL offer are excellent value. Sadly the booking we had for this April had to be cancelled but we'll be returning later. Very happy to recommend this company.

I said I would never use this company again but a chat with their founder has helped a little .

Theirs is by far and away the worst hotel booking company experience we have ever had . And we have booked at least 6 a year on average in each of the last 15 years . It is our sapphire ( 45 years) wedding anniversary in August this year and we wanted a spa break to celebrate . I visited their site (after googling
“ luxury Scottish hotel breaks “) for the very first ...and probably last time ..to book a hotel just outside Aberdeen .

Unlike all the other hotel booking sites we have used I thought it strange that they couldn’t confirm a date for a booking online straight away .Their site confirmed that that they would come back to us to eventually confirm if they could reserve our dates but nothing ever appeared in our email inboxes ( including junk ) . Given the huge significance of the specific date we obviously needed immediate confirmation from the venue or we would have had to look elsewhere . With lock down easing in Scotland we were well aware that bookings would soon become difficult . So that same day we booked the venue with Booking.com. No problem there . But a few days later our hotel got in touch with us to say we had a double booking for our anniversary .Totally unbeknown to us ,OffpeakLuxury had gone ahead and booked the room and fully charged our credit card with over £500 of costs ! And because we had received nothing from them this was the first we knew .We even had to get their reservation booking number from the hotel to then email Offpeakluxury to cancel their booking . Despite two emails to request a cancellation and a refund we still heard nothing from them . When they did eventually respond they wouldn’t cancel the double booking without charging us a fee of £35 claiming that they had sent us an email confirmation despite our pleas that we hadn’t received anything from them . They also tried the current airlines COVID trick of offering us a 12 month credit note proving that they were totally oblivious to the anniversary significance of the booking date to us. Despite us telling them . They even tried to resend this “confirmation “ email to us but ...surprise.. surprise ..that too initially failed to reach
us .They simply refused to cancel this erroneous double booking unless we paid them a fee . Despite our argument that without us receiving a written confirmation , a booking reference and a copy of their terms and conditions we actually didn’t have a formal booking with them they still refused to budge. They stubbornly held on to our not insubstantial monies .If they had checked their own email systems they would probably have clearly seen that their “ confirmation “ email had neither reached us nor had ever been opened by anyone .In the end we actually had to take costly legal advice and only then would they refund the monies taken from us . Monies taken from us , as I have said , without our knowledge.

But they still retained the “ cancellation fee “ for cancelling something we never knew we had in the first place .

This is an appalling customer treatment of two pensioners simply trying to book a special celebratory treat . They must be desperate for cash to hold on to our money for so long and in such an unsympathetic manner . If Trustpilot allowed zero stars then that is what we would give this company based on our experience .We are still considering further legal redress .Stick to Hotel.com and Booking.com would be our advice .

PS After this review was first posted their co founder Barry Mills phoned me to discuss our poor experience .
I appreciated this effort and whilst Covid had stripped his customer service support to the bare minimum I said that my poor experience still needed to still be posted . But like all travel companies in this pandemic they are fighting to come out of all of this . Given our chat I may well give them another chance in the future when normality returns . But he also agreed that lessons have been learned though all of this including our experience so I wish them well.

Terrible company! Avoid

Terrible company! Avoid! Even given the difficult circumstances around covid 19 this company have been the worst to deal with! We booked a spa weekend at danesfield house in March the weekend lockdown started and when we phoned and emailed them to change dates nobody answered phones or emails. They didn't contact us even on the day of the booking so we had to contact the hotel directly to reschedule. Danesfield house were very understanding and had no problem changing our booking to July. Now in July the hotel remains closed so we've had to reschedule again. Phoned up offpeakluxury and staff were rude on the phone accusing me of doing the wrong thing by contacting the hotel directly not them when we had no other option. While Danesfield House have been great Offpeakluxury are rude and unhelpful. We have rebooked for later this year with the hotel direct but if they dont reopen we will most likely lose our money. Avoid offpeakluxury!

I have not had my break yet

I have not had my break yet, though booked. I am irritated that a person who cannot read the small print and expects special treatment moans about losing their voucher and even refuses to extend for a fee less than the voucher amount. the bad report has unfairly reduced offpeakluxury's overall score by 33% as only three posts have been made. I will be posting my report after my stay, this one is to balance the issue. Regards. Whatsisname.
